Can be in and out in 5 minutes. Limited hours to view- Wed-Sat from 10-12. Free to visit. I was the first visitor there one day. Most interesting is not the alter but the block of stone with St Agatha’s alleged footprints and the dungeons where she was allegedly tortured (I think those were them!) The kindly volunteer lit the electric light behind the alter so I could get a better picture.

Supposedly over 100 stories about the real sant agata but regardless, this church has an interesting history, especially as it has a jail and is built into the old city wall.
Worth going into and doing the short but in depth tour for 1 euro.
Located in the centre so it’s a quick place to pop into amongst other attractions. Has a little shop that’s cash only.

We got a very nice informative tour and a view of the original furnace for €1, definitely worth it 🙏

What a wonderful quiet respite after the terrible thunderstorm yesterday.
It was so quiet and full of peace to quiet my soul and chat with Our Lord. Beautiful art work and status. The remains of the great Saint Agatha are there. She is the patron saint of ladies with great cancer so I prayed for my friend.

Not the best view for the price, you can't really see much.
