Basillica San Tommaso da Villanova, Piazza della Libertà at Castel Gandolfo, a pure Italian atmosphere town mainly famous with Papal Gardens, located on a hill looking over Albano Lake, 30 KM south of Rome.
We visited the place by train and from train stazione we had to walk uphill a zig zag lane through a forest to reach the town center (Hard & exiting 10 minutes walk - shows in one photo).
Place is worth seeing.
In this lovely town (Castel Gandolfo) November 2009, and according to a NASA newsletter, the Vatican hosted its first International Conference on Astrobiology, and attendant philosophical implications of finding {Alien life} elsewhere in this Universe!
