Visiting St. Johns’ Church left a truly special impression on me. Located in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, within the University courtyard, it feels like stepping into another era. I was fascinated by the harmony of styles – the strictness of Gothic, the richness of Baroque, and the calm of Neoclassicism blending together. The bell tower is especially impressive – the tallest building in the Old Town. Climbing up, you not only sense the breath of history but also see Vilnius from a unique perspective. The Foucault pendulum struck me as a reminder of the bond between science and faith. For me, this church is not only a place of worship but also a beacon of Vilnius, uniting faith, knowledge, and culture.

The Church of St. John the Baptist and St. John the Apostle and Evangelist is situated inside the Vilnius University complex. It's construction started in the year 1387 by Lithuanian Grand Duke and Polish King Jogaila and completed in 1426 by King Alexander Vytautas. The Vilnius University was established in the 16th century and the tall Bell Tower next to the church was built in the 17th century. The entire complex including the church and University is quite large. The interior of the church has altars, stained glass windows, and paintings. It also has the largest Organ in Lithuania. It's a must visit place in Lithuania.

A church with an interesting tower offering great views over the whole city. If you’re in Vilnius, this spot is definitely worth a visit. A perfect mix of history and panoramic sights that won’t disappoint.

Masses are held in the Church of Sts. Johns of Vilnius University. The university museum is located here, there are sculptures of famous people, university celebrations and secular concerts are held here. The beauty of the city can be admired from the bell tower. And you can see the rather interesting roof of the bell tower itself.

The Church of St. John and its bell tower belong to the most important architectural ensemble, the heart of the old town of Vilnius - the complex of buildings of Vilnius University, one of the oldest universities in Europe. The church is a pearl of Vilnius baroque architecture. Today it is not only a temple, but also an important place for events and concerts for Vilnius residents, primarily classical music. The most famous classical music groups of the world have given concerts in the Church of St. John.

The cobblestone streets, old church, with a mediaeval charm. One of the best places to roam around in Vilnius in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed.

I tried to visit this church on sunday, on working hours, but i was not allowed in, because the lady mistaken me as a tourist, while i explained that its my home town and i came to church. Another time i came to visit, and i was asked why and for what reason i came? I dont think this is appropriate for church. Obviously people are coming to pray.

The layout of the Church of St. Johns still reflects its original Gothic structure. It is a 28x69 m hall church with three naves and seven asymmetrical chapels. The tower, consisting of 5 gradually decreasing portions, is the tallest building of Vilnius Old Town (69 m). The central focus of the church interior is a composition of 10 presbytery altars
