Church of the Most Holy Apostles Peter and Paul

Also known as the Jesuit Church, this is a historic church in Lviv, Ukraine, built in years 1610-1630. The church was built by the Society of Jesus as a masterpiece in the baroque style at the beginning of the 17th century. The church’s facade is decorated with intricate sculptures and ornamental details while the interior is furnished with magnificent frescoes and a grand altar

Coming to you straight out the underground! Had a blast exploring the catacombs underneath a 409 year old church located in the downtown of Lviv. Apparently humans were much smaller 400 years ago which makes sense because there would not have been as much food & medicine back in the day... We were lucky to make it out without busting our coconuts wide open 🤣🙈💓 The temperature underground is always perfect and kind of makes me want to build a home out of a cave when I get back to the States 🏠🌡️💜 @ Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church

You should visit not only the chapel but also the underground caves. It is a wonderful and mysterious space.

The church was reopened in 2011, it is still being reconstructed. The churchman are very educated...the atmosphere of peace and love.

Very pretty church. Sadly parts if it have to be covered up to protect it from Russian shelling if civilian targets.
