"From the outside, it’s hard to imagine that the interior of Iglesia Rosario is anything special, but just wait; once you’re inside you may well agree with the numerous travel writers who have called this the most beautiful contemporary church in Latin America. An arched roof with inlaid stained glass creates a constantly changing light show, a multi-colored gilding of an otherwise simple scene."

Gorgeous church. Never seen anything like it. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. The entrance is through an alley located on the right side of the church (when facing the front of the church).

I is the first church in El Salvador built a Brutalist style of architecture. None of a kind because of its stainless windows...

This is a surreal experience. The outside of the church isn't notable, but once you enter you are surprised by the color and depth. There is also a lot of steel details. Highly recommend getting a guided tour of the building.

This is one of my favorite and most beautiful churches in the world. The architecture is very unique, and although the exterior may look ancient and simple, once you're inside, you'll be surprised and amazed by the beauty of the church. Beautiful rainbow-colored rays cast from the stained glass windows onto the ceiling. You must see this church if you're in El Salvador."

Surely it's beautiful even on a cloudy day but more so on a sunny one. We went in the afternoon and noticed from the outside that the sun 🌞 is definitely pointed towards the stained glass windows and coming in confirmed, it was the perfect time to visit. There were not many people inside either during the visitation hours we were there but we imagine during mass time there'll be more. A must visit while in San Salvador's Centro Historico!!

This place is a must on your itinerary. You can definitely visit this church, another cathedral, and the library all in one stop, without the need of a tour guide. They charge $1 to enter. It is located in the center of San Salvador.

If you don't see this church while in El Salvador, you need to sucker punch your best friend. This place is beyond beautiful with a very rich, relevant history. The architecture is ingenious, it's one of those places that humbles you upon arrival because you realize the builder is light years ahead of you in intellectual ability. The stained glass, the floor, the sculptures, it's so simple in design yet exceptionally brilliant in its final form. I am posting pics but they don't do it justice. They have an eye in the church, the all seeing eye, there are so many hidden gems it could easily take a few hours to deciper them all.

While we didn’t spent a lot of time on the eastern side of town, the Church of Rosario was definitely one of my list of places to see for their gorgeous mosaics they cascade with the afternoon sun. Tourists pay $2 to enter the beautiful church for what will surely be a light to remember. The church is stunning with areas for prayer and friendly staff. There isn’t a whole lot of information posted to learn about when inside, which is a shame given we pay to enter. Visitors are not permitted when mass is held. Otherwise, take a moment to come in and soak in the beauty.
