Church Saint-Jacques

Worth visiting when in Liege. Often a little less visited then the cathedral close by but just as captivating to admire from the inside. Beautiful sculptures and architecture from different eras and styles. At the end of the morning opening we were able to enjoy a organ show which was very impressive, for us this was on Monday at the end of the morning but I suggest checking when these take place. For us it was a pleasant surprise.

Out of the numerous wonderful churches in Liege, this must be the most interesting with an ornate roof and a calm interior kept without the usual aesthetic noise plaguing most showcase churches. The renaissance entrance is an architectural marvel in itself.

Beautiful church with Baroque and Gothic styles in the same church. The windows are saved from 1600 (were kept away during WW II)! The whole interior is really magnificent

Outside is impressive but a but in decay. Nonetheless a beautiful edifice.

I went to church (the service). At 12 rays of light shined on the Jesus emblem while the pastor preached. It was awesome! The church’s itself is also very nice and different from the other churches in the area. It has some unique feastures.
