Being from Bangalore, I get nostalgic when I think of what Bangalore was like growing up and walking the streets of MG.Road, Brigade Road, Church Street, etc...
Given how it has evolved over time, things are bound to change and I was amazed at the variety of global cuisines available just on church street alone!
At one end is Church Street Social, a lovely place to hang out and have a pint. That's exactly what we did too! Being Oktoberfest, there was a sausage snack which we tried that turned out to be quite nice as well. Sadly though, the place was rather quiet given it was late afternoon and things started to pick up as we left early evening.
Now when I said pint, I actually wasn't speaking of beer. What we did have was a Banarasi Patiala drink - essentially a glass of sugar cane juice spiked with 90 ml of you choice (white rum, black rum or vodka). The menu clearly says they can't serve more than 2 drinks per person, which tells you of the kind of kick you stand to get!
Overall, an enjoyable place with a cool vibe with an F1 corner too where you can take pictures with cut-out boards of the F1 drivers, in case you are a fan.
I look forward to visiting early evening onwards when it gets a bit lively and enjoying a drink (or three!) soon enough.
