Fried pastry basically rolled with 3 different options, with Manjar Blanco (Dulce de Leche) being the most popular and definitely my favorite. As I mentioned in my review of Virgen del Carmen, the only difference I find is in the dough. This one seems to be fried for longer, resulting in a crispier coat yet softer inside, possibly with a bit more salt to balance the flavors and the added sugar. In my opinion, the filling (Manjar Blanco) tastes identical.
Both options are good, and at only S./ 3 each, you can't go wrong with either. This place and Manolo in Miraflores are hands down the best I've tried in the city. However, Manolo has a more traditional form factor, unfortunately it’s over double the price, but it has a lot more filling and is definitely sweeter in my opinion.
