A hidden gem in San Sebastian! The food here is top-notch and they kindly agreed to make smaller portions to try every dish. We loved everything there, and as complete foodies with many places to compare it to, we can confidently say this restaurant stands out. Everyone visiting San Sebastian should make it a point to dine here. Highly recommended!

Chef came over and explained the menu for us and also adjusted the sizes of meals due to our small appetites. This is what San Sebastian is about. Wonderful tastes and flavours with a lot of thought put into the recipes. Totally original and a mile away from some of the regular pintxos on offer at other establishments. Make sure you reserve a place in advance and enjoy your experience.

A divine experience. An absolutely incredible visit to Chutney Gastrobar. Would give a 10 on a 5 scale if it was possible. From the service to the food, all was impeccable and delightful. The Gentlemen serving and cooking are a delight, describing the upcoming dishes with mouth watering quality and true passion to their craft. And the food. The food is one of the tastiest dishes we've ever had. Given that the menu changes, it is stunning how everything was so on point and delightful to the taste senses. The Chef, Arif, queued the dish sequence in their recommendation and delivered hard. From the intro of the sweet potato salad to the final of the noodles, it was so good, we had a 5th main dish just to experience more. And that was followed by deserts, which matched the main experience. All in all, Chutney Gastrobar is a MUST visit in San Sebastian. We got very lucky to get a seat without reservation, so recommending to plan a visit in advance and make sure to reserve a spot.

Right around the corner from our house. We must have past it a gazillion times. Yummy. Yummy. Yummy. We will no longer pass but make reservations on a weekly basis. The menu changes weekly. Carrot soup divine. Veggie pie scrumptious. Sardine and tomato sauce on crisp toast made me a sardine lover.

If I could give this restaurant 6 stars, I would. Every city and town needs a restaurant like this, where the owners create exceptional dishes and caters them to each of their customers. We ate here twice during our short stay, and wish we could make it our neighborhood locale. Be sure to make reservations, as you don’t want to miss this dining experience.

We’d read about Chutney Gastrobar; we’d read that they don’t take reservations - but we decided to set out early for lunch and take our chances. Well… the pandemic has forced them to take reservations and they were fully booked. Fortunately, they had two stools in the corner next to the door which we happily took. That was a brilliant decision!! We just asked them to feed us and we enjoyed every bite!! The flavors are amazing and eclectic. We were stuffed but the chef suggested we should have something sweet. The gleam in his eyes said it all so we did - and he didn’t disappoint! We would happily return!! Thank you gentlemen 😋

One of the best experiences we've had, certainly the best food we've had in San Sebastian. Amazing hosts who made us feel so welcome and impeccable service. Each dish was described and explained to us. To be honest we wanted to try everything on offer. We couldn't fault a thing and if we could we would give them 10 stars out of 5. Absolutely fantastic and the best experience of our trip. Do give it a try and worth booking in advance as it's very popular.
