Chutney Gastrobar

An absolute delight! We had such a lovely experience here on our first night in San Sebastián. We were lucky enough to squeeze in early before other bookings. The team were so welcoming and helpful, and gave us all the information we needed on the menu to meet pregnancy dietary needs. The food was absolutely delicious, excellent non-alcoholic beer and the atmosphere was spot on. From the mix of locals / visitors you could really tell it’s a special place to dine. Do not miss out - make sure you reserve a table!

Very wonderful place! It was our first night in San Sebastián and we read the positive reviews. They were very busy when we arrived without a reservation but we were able to get a seat at the bar as other patrons were leaving. The food was great and the service was even better! Such great Indian flavors. Every dish more flavorful than the last. I am so glad we made this choice. What was even better were the servers who helped us make educated choices about the menu and provided their recommendations (our Spanish is not great and they both spoke English). I am very grateful that this was the first place we went in San Sebastian. It was truly fabulous and I would recommend it to anyone.

A hidden gem in San Sebastian! The food here is top-notch and they kindly agreed to make smaller portions to try every dish. We loved everything there, and as complete foodies with many places to compare it to, we can confidently say this restaurant stands out. Everyone visiting San Sebastian should make it a point to dine here. Highly recommended!

One of the top dining experiences in my life! My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and we were treated with charm by the two masterminds behind the restaurant. After watching them prepare each dish, the chef, Arif, explained the dish in depth. It was unique to see Arif (the head chef) both cook and connect with the guests! Cannot recommend enough

Chef came over and explained the menu for us and also adjusted the sizes of meals due to our small appetites. This is what San Sebastian is about. Wonderful tastes and flavours with a lot of thought put into the recipes. Totally original and a mile away from some of the regular pintxos on offer at other establishments. Make sure you reserve a place in advance and enjoy your experience.

A divine experience. An absolutely incredible visit to Chutney Gastrobar. Would give a 10 on a 5 scale if it was possible. From the service to the food, all was impeccable and delightful. The Gentlemen serving and cooking are a delight, describing the upcoming dishes with mouth watering quality and true passion to their craft. And the food. The food is one of the tastiest dishes we've ever had. Given that the menu changes, it is stunning how everything was so on point and delightful to the taste senses. The Chef, Arif, queued the dish sequence in their recommendation and delivered hard. From the intro of the sweet potato salad to the final of the noodles, it was so good, we had a 5th main dish just to experience more. And that was followed by deserts, which matched the main experience. All in all, Chutney Gastrobar is a MUST visit in San Sebastian. We got very lucky to get a seat without reservation, so recommending to plan a visit in advance and make sure to reserve a spot.

A great hidden gem of a find. Excellent value for money and the food was very tasty, with unusually combination of flavours. Great options for vegetarians. The chef and staff were very accommodating and friendly, delivering excellent service with a family atmosphere. Book in advance so not to disappoint! 😃
