The entrance to the restaurant can be misleading. If you look from the main road, it appears as if the building is undergoing renovation and the outlet is closed, but when you approach closet you realise the entrance is a bit unobstructive and from the side road. But there is ample parking and valets who are happy to guide you
The interiors and the food have the stamp of a regular Chutneys restaurant. Quick and unobstructive service, wide range of dosas, idlis and peserettu to choose from and the signature six chutneys. We ordered two plates of ghee karam idli which is out of the world. Unless you genuinely dislike the dish, it is a must have.
We went in the afternoon in off peak hours, so the sweeping and mopping went in behind us. It wasn’t too much of an inconvenience but I took away a star for that.
I just wish they offered regular water, though. Even if they are recycled, I’d rather not consume water from plastic bottles.
Went back for breakfast and the place was quite crowded, including a couple of families with kids. Clearly that’s a demographic they cater to. Service and food remains of a great quality- the vadas, in particular, were crisp outside and butter soft inside.
