We have stopped by for quick lunchs at both their locations. Food is fresh, service is quick and most importantly it has flavors. All dishes are served with sides and sauces, everything complement the dishes. I go for the sauces 😀 We usually bring home pre-boxed sides.

Google
Amazing food and great place to bring kids!! Plenty of options and quick service. Highly recommend this place for all.

Google
Love Chutzpah Kitchen. Fast service and the food is excellent. I ordered off DoorDash once before so this was my first visit in store. I like that the serve on actual plates and not disposables if you eat in. The hummus is super smooth and rich. The pita was fluffy and light. I look forward to visiting again.

Google
The köfte i tried was not bad. I also bought some baklava to take home, it was really good.

Google
Consistently exceptional! Chutzpah Kitchen is undeniably the top spot for lunch. The freshness and authentic flavors of the food, paired with generous portions, make it absolutely delightful. Delicious every time!

Google
This is not a falafel, this is an experience! Without a doubt THE BEST falafel sandwich we have ever had! This is our third or fourth time here. There are no words to describe how good the food is here. Fresh, tremendous flavors. I did not think that a pita could be stuffed so much without breaking. The pita bread is incredibly fresh and delicious. Love this place!

Google
I love Chuzpa Kitchen! Food is delicious, service is good, and ambiance is relaxing. My favorites are the chicken shawarma platter and the schnitzel

Absolutely incredible. Great spot for vegan and vegetarian food! Delicious! Roasted veggies to die for! Shawarma melts in your mouth! Great family friendly atmosphere. Make sure to check out the rest of the gorgeous Westfield as well! Marina ~your Real Estate Friend

Yelp
Always enjoy the food at this place. Some of my favorite type. Nothing to complain about. We have only ordered in.

Yelp
Fresh, tasty food...but wow, the server was SO confused even though there were only 3-4 tables. Wrong orders going to the wrong tables multiple times, and they even had to ask the customers what they ordered every time a dish came out. Not to mention, the server was running around between the kitchen and dining area, which made me feel like this place was way more stressful than it needed to be. Service aside, food was nice but somewhat overpriced. The chicken shawarma platter was $20 but the portion didn't seem reflective of that. I probably won't dine in again, but may consider takeout when the craving hits.

Yelp
I'm a bit sad to see the quality dwindle from Chutzpah Westfield's glory days. My favorite cashier has moved on too. The last experience I had was a meal with side of hummus, shawarma pita sandwich, and side of chili. Hummus portion started being reduced from what it once was in 2023 and 2024. Chicken shawarma was still good, but what really did it for me was being served a liquid turkey chili. I've had their turkey chili several times before, and it was a nice and viscous textured. The poor preparation in quality showed on my face and the server only said sorry when I told her it wasn't good. I messaged the owner the decline of quality on the restaurant Instagram, but was left on read. An anticlimactic end to the food quality that used to shine consistently here.

Yelp
The food was delicious! We had a falafel sandwich, which may have been the best ever and an sabich sandwich, also delicious! Also enjoyed the fried artichokes too. I highly recommend. !

Sydney S.

Yelp
The food is so fresh and the hummus is insanely good. We got the chicken schnitzel platter and it came with a ton of healthy veggie salads. Would definitely recommend trying this place out. Service was great, food came out fast. Feeling full yet refreshed :)

Yelp
Falafel was fried well and flavorful but overall sandwich was dry. Was going to order platter but they had run out of hummus , babaganoush and labna. All pretty basic for a middle eastern place. Dealt with order taker and server- neither could crack a smile. Not that they were not polite and efficient. Just nothing that would make me want to come back
google avatar

Susie D.

Yelp
Rainy day, chutzpah day! Was craving them for sometime and we finally came. All of us ordered their kufta platters - delicious and filling. Service was good, ambiance was good - no complaints. Bought babganoush for the table - wouldn't do that next time, not necessary.
google avatar

Yelp
Had the breaded chicken and the schwarma. Former was better than the latter. The portion is decent and the flavors are okay. Schwarma was a bit crispy/dry. So was the hummus - not silky smooth. Shame. Otherwise an okay spot.

Yelp
great fresh food! place was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, so come a little early if you want to sit inside. my friends and I sat outside and staff brought food to us, rearranged the tables for us to fit our food, and even checked up on us after. I got the chicken shawarma sandwich and a mushroom hummus to share with the table. The sandwich was stuffed to the brim! It was a really enjoyable sandwich with a balance of flavors. The mushroom hummus was probably the star of the show, everyone loved it. Mushrooms were so delicious and umami, and paired well with the creamy hummus. The pita was soft on the inside, so yummy. I also tried my friend's falafel and it was better than other ones I've had.

Yelp
Nice casual eating environment (artwork, music, lighting) friendly staff who serve and clear the table, resuable clean utensils, and seeing as the pita are fresh made, it was enjoyable. $36 for two pita sandwiches. Mind you, they're stuffed (but not huge) the meat (i had the kofti, she had the schwarma) was seasoned brilliantly, the vegetables/condiments balanced in texture/ flavor, and even having eaten at 12:30, I only had a light dinner. Still, too much for two sandwiches. 3.5 stars rounded up.

Yelp
The flash fried eggplant...that's what I came for and I'll definitely return for it. Let me enumerate on that. I ordered the sabich platter. It consists of flash fried eggplant, hardboiled egg, served w/ Israeli salad, hummus, tahina, harissa, sliced pickle, shipka peppers & amba. You get one pita, which is large and was enough for me. That eggplant was divine. Thin, crisp and warm. Even though it had skin on it, it wasn't bitter. It was drizzled with tahina, harissa and the piece de resistance: amba which is fermented mango. Don't let the mango part fool you. It's not sweet at all and I wouldn't have guessed it was mango but as I ate it I was hooked. The eggplant was so good I had to find out how to just order that. (They sell it and hummus as sides.) The hummus, I'm told is made daily. And if it's not sold it's tossed. The hummus was silky and drizzled with za'atar + olive oil. It was delicious. The pita was thick, warm and fluffy. The Israeli salad and red cabbage wasn't my thing. The flavor profile wasn't tasty so I'd skip that next time. You order at the counter and they either pack it for to-go or bring the food to your table. The place is so clean even my OCD family would eat here. I mean really spotless. The server was well-versed and knowledgable about the menu and was very courteous. The pickles were outstanding. I'll be back. Just wish you could customize a platter here.

Yelp
There were 3 people total working there and not a single one spoke English. It took them calling someone out of the store so that I could place my order. I have been to the Maplewood location a few times and had great experiences. I was very excited knowing another location came to Westfield where I live. Regardless of how good the food was, it's impossible to enjoy when I can't walk in and place an order.
google avatar

Sandra C.

Yelp
Quick bite before a concert. Pea Soup advertised as both vegan and vegetarian. I asked what broth it was made with and no one could tell me. No one spoke English but I was able to tell them that the soup was cold and needed salt in Spanish. Even with that we left the bowls in eaten. People were very nice but with the language barrier it was hard to get what we ordered

Lucy J.

Yelp
Meh, I had high hopes based on pics and reviews. The falafel was dry like cardboard. They didn't have any utensils for me to eat my chicken and salad, odd but at the end it didn't matter because it was barely edible. Other reviews compare it to Mizon in NYC, not even close
google avatar

Jyoti M.

Yelp
Its a casual Mediterranean restaurant but the shawarma and falafel were INCREDIBLE! I will be going back for the food. The pity was so fresh and fluffy! The hummus bowl was so nicely plately and incredibly flavorful
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food- really yummy and authentic. The ingredients were very fresh and the combination of the creamy humus, grilled chicken and spicy relish on the side was truly delicious. A true gem in the heart of Westfield

Yelp
our 12th visit absolutely best israeli food, the eggplant is crisp and tasty on top of the smith yogurt with the zatar seasoning comes with a stack of their unusually thck fluffy hot soft pita that you can split open and make a flash fried eggplant sandwich, next the sautéed mushrooms and humus all fresh and delicious very different, the daily specials have expanded and can't wait to come back and try love the interior modern clean fun brightwood red tables and hairs and also counters you can eat at with stools we always get few containers of thier fresh homemade humus

Yelp
New middle eastern street food place in downtown Westfield. They have another location in Maplewood, NJ so I guess they are now expanding! Location: it's right across Yestercades and Boxwood Coffee Roasters Ambiance: very spacious chill vibe - plenty of seating. They play a mix of chill music in the background. You have direct view to the kitchen. Service: very quick and kind! We got our food in under 12 minutes of ordering ( granted it wasn't that busy when we were there on a Saturday afternoon). Food: delicious and loved the presentation. Photos attached of what we ordered. The flash fried eggplant was very unique - haven't tasted anything like it before. And the Zahtar flatbread was so yummy! My SO got the falafel platter which was also delicious. Bonus: they have MINI bottles of soda, seltzer, juices - I love this because if you're trying to be healthier and cut your soda intake it helps keep you in line :) Def worth checking this place out if you're in Westfield. !

Yelp
Humus was on point. Food was delicious although a bit pricey but made fresh. The pita was also so delicious! I would come here again just for the pita and humus! Yum! Yum!

Myra Ann T.

Yelp
Okay, prepare to be amazed by the food. The hummus is the best and the grilled eggplant with tahini and veggies inside it (I forget the name of the dish) is TO DIE FOR. A bit pricey but the food is sooo fresh and good. The fried eggplant is also a fav but you can't do takeout on that or it will get soggy. Eat that in and you will come back for more.

Yelp
I live in the town over so Westfield is where majority of the shopping goes down but THIS PLACE!!! So AMAZING!!! I'm a raw vegetarian but I have my cooked food cravings of course and this place takes the cake!!!! It's like the Jerseyz' Miznon!!! The falafel sandwich or platter top tier and the babaganoush with pomegranate seeds is so delicious. This is a staple for me. The prices are reasonable I appreciate this place because whose going to Paterson where their restaurants are a grade C or your car is being hit
google avatar

Brandon S.

Yelp
Came in for a late night grab and go, but left disappointed. Being Lebanese and seeing "Middle Eastern Street Food", I expect food on par with that of Patterson shops, sadly, it just isn't. Hummus is decent, don't get me wrong, but $10 for a small tub? Brother, come on. Go to Nouri's or Fattal's. I settled for the Chicken Shwarma Platter, and my partner got the Shishlik Parguit platter. First and foremost, total came to $40..... Okay - for $40, I'm expecting quite a good amount of food. Oh man, you should've seen my face at the surprise I got. You get one pita per meal, a sorry amount of hummus, and the smallest portion of meat. The majority of what they sell you is the Israeli Salad. Sad to say, I will not come back here. Please take your money elsewhere where they will value it. Seriously, what a scam. Not even any leftovers or anything.

Yelp
Gorgeous fast casual mediterranean food in Westfield. LOVE The pita bread, fresh and fluffy like a pillow and the hummus is super delicious, especially with the generous zaatar sprinkle on top. Falafel is p good texture, not the best ive ever had but still quite nice (nothing will ever compare to hummus grill for me). It's on the less chunky, finer side. And always love fresh tabbouleh side salad. Great spot for lunch
google avatar

Lulu M.

Yelp
Chutzpah has the best pitas! They are fluffy and soft. All of their sandwiches are overstuffed and filling. Their crispy fried eggplant is the best that I've had. I also like the babaganush and buy a container to go.

Greenpointguy P.

Yelp
Hands down the best middle eastern in Westfield. I want to give this place a 5 but they don't open on time. They should move their hours to 11:30 so that maybe they open by noon. Cmon guys I'm trying to give you my money. Please take it. There's 2 other schwarma spots on the block that are open. The early bird gets the worm.

Larry J.

Yelp
Food was really good, service was exceptional. The cucumber water was a nice addition

Yelp
Strolled by and decided to stop in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The dining area was open, spacious and clean. There were tables both inside and outside. I was happy to see vegetarian options on the menu since I'm pescatarian and don't eat much meat. I ordered the falafel sandwich. It was amazing and flavored. There's a pitcher of water with lemon on the counter free of charge for customers. I thought was was awesome since it's been extremely outside. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the mood for Mediterranean food.

Sean M.

Yelp
Paid my first visit here recently. Specifically went there thinking they would have matzoh ball soup and was surprised to find that they did not. Ok, so I ordered a cup of their turkey chili, which came to around $7.50 including tax! Anyway, I ate it as soon as I got home. It was barely warm and the chili itself was watery. Very unimpressed. The small piece of bread was the best part.
google avatar

Craig W.

Yelp
Came in for a late evening dinner and was impressed with how flavorful the food tasted. Chicken came with a tahini and maybe a curry? drizzle that gave it a unique taste versus the usual shawarma. And the salad and hummus were very fresh.
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
Everything was delicious top to bottom. This is very high quality food coming out of the kitchen and I appreciated every bite. My order was simple: * chicken shawarma * hummus w/ pita I highly recommend it.

Yelp
I'm not new to middle eastern food and have explored a lot of places in the area but this place was just insipid. A lack of flavor and freshness throughout. I thought the sauce would help, but nope flavorless too. The staff wasn't friendly, not even a smile back but I understand maybe they had a hard day etc so I looked past it so long as the food would be somewhat decent. However, of course it arrived to be disappointing. It was also very very pricey in comparison to other places in the Westfield area. I'm always ok with that ,as long as the food at least somewhat matches it. Unfortunately this place was not even close to matching their mark up. Maybe it was just an off day for them or maybe I've experienced too many better places so my expectations were set higher.. but it was certainly a disappointing experience through and through.

Adam F.

Yelp
Falafel here is pretty bland. The only flavor you get is oil. No hint of spice or really anything else
google avatar

Christopher H.

Yelp
The falafel itself is delicious. The bread is incredible. Everything else that comes with the falafel sandwich is very bland. Tahini sauce has no flavor. Needs acid and salt. The salads need seasoning. Don't be afraid of salt.
google avatar

Myra T.

Yelp
Fresh food and great flavors! Westfield needed something interesting and flavorful and not Italian food. Eat the eggplant, no matter how it's prepared. Even when it's fried, they know how to do it so it's not greasy at all. The labneh is delicious too.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
Manhattan quality food in New Jersey is rare. The pita is so soft and the falafel so crunchy. Flavor comes all from fresh ingredients and not grease like so many other middle eastern places.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Wandered in and glad we did. Food was very fresh and delicious. We didn't have to wait long and prices were good for the quality of food. We got the falafel platter and chicken shawarma sandwich and the tastes and flavors were amazing. We will be back for sure.
google avatar

David Z.

Yelp
The best and most authentic Israeli food. I ordered the za'tar chicken thighs and had leftovers for lunch the next day. We love Chutzpah Kitchen!!

Lily -.

Yelp
Great place, food and customer service! Loved it! Thank you for the mother's day discount as well.
google avatar

Tamar S.

Yelp
I eat Mediterranean food all the time. This place was a huge disappointment. Would give it 0 stars if I could. Ordered the Schwarma sandwich and side of falafel for delivery tonight. Don't ever do that. By the time the sandwich gets to you it will be soggy and cold. Would be better if they packed up all the ingredients separately for the customer to assemble. Also the falafel balls were over cooked and dry to the point where I was coughing for an hour from one small bite, which scratched up my throat. The tehina tasted like paste. To top it off, nothing had any flavor whatsoever. Went straight into the trash! Talk about living up to your name: They had real chutzpah serving that food.
google avatar

Francis A.

Yelp
Surprisingly good. The sammy is technically on the kids menu but so good and works well as a quick lunch option. I've tried most of their apps and really liked them. Any chicken dish is cooked perfectly. If you don't like humus you may not like some of the items here. The only thing I had and wasn't a fan of is the cauliflower.

Sheena G.

Yelp
Delicious food! Great service! Unique, calming, beautiful ambience. I'll be back as often as I can. Loved the carrot salad, cabbage salad, and hummus...Yum!

Brian S.

Yelp
PIcked up for takeout. The Falafel sandwich was incredible. Everything was fresh & delicious. Can't wait to try again.
google avatar

Hoover L.

Yelp
Great presentation, the food is clean! (Good ingredients).. very good service and good prices!

alan g.

Yelp
Chutzpah kitchen is correct. Rude arrogant non customer oriented business. Food is just ok. Nothing special. Expensive for what it is trying to be: Low rent mediterranean. No ambience. Modernistic chairs and tables. Innocently asked if food was kosher (they have chutzpah in the name). Was practically laughed out of the store and made to feel stupid for asking.
google avatar

Debbie L.

Yelp
Great place. Food is delicious. I highly recommend the sabich but you can't go wrong. Also the place is spotlessly clean

Barbara G.

Yelp
Loved the food!! Delish! Wonderful Middle Eastern ( Israeli ) dishes! Large portions and fabulous pita! I'll definitely go back!

Ashley L.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD. Thankful to have authentic flavorful middle eastern food near me! The best! Try everything.

Marco S.

Yelp
Ordered food a couple times and got the falafel and chicken shawarma. Very good, excellent sauces, large portions. Would definitely order again

Michelle P.

Yelp
I was walking by and decided to give it a try. This place is amazing. I had the chicken shwarma sandvicheem and it was incredible. Amazing flavor. I will definitely be back!
