Ciao Bella Coffee

Stopped in for a hot chocolate on a cold day. While the hot chocolate was okay, the experience was excellent. Service was great, and inside the music, decorations, and company was a source of great contentment. There is a disco ball on the high ceiling. A great stereo whose audial glow filled the cafe subtly and fully. It is a comfortable place.

Good coffee, super cool staff and atmosphere and awesome clientele. Comfortable and cozy. Pastries scrumptious, also LEVEL UP: spin your own record or record from the house on their home system!! And BONUS: they are about to set up what looks like a Miss Pac-Man and Galaga kinda set up! Pretty awesome treasure of a coffee shop … 🙏🏽

I was happy to see that Lavazza brand coffee is made here. I tried double espresso and was satisfied. It's a small business and has outside seating areas. Even though there is sometimes loud music inside, the customers who come are working quietly and doing something.

The atmosphere at this cafe was impeccable. Great music. Great service. Dog friendly! They don’t have a full food menu but if you’re looking for a cafe drink and a pastry this is the spot. I didn’t even really know what I wanted but the barista walked me through the menu and had great suggestions. They serve beer and wine at night and have events like comedy shows. I’ll definitely go back.

Always a great coffee, yummy pastries. I love to sit here and read or rush in for my morning latte. I’ve tried all the cafes in walking distance and they are by far the best 😊 Staff is always so sweet and friendly.

I went to my friend Villa’s new apartment and because she knew I like coffee, she says hey Kofa, let’s go to a really cool coffee shop. It’s everything a coffee Café should be. Stopped in for a hot latte, decided to try a toffee nut oat milk latte. I really enjoyed it and the barista made such a pretty design on top. Always looks clean when I visit and it's a popular place for the local community to come together. Although a small cafe, it's always busy. The one thing that wasn't so great, the gentleman at the register was very serious, no smiles, no thank you. That's never pleasant.

I got some hot tea and I like that they charge by the bag and not buy the cup size. Ambience in there was swanky. Definitely a cool place to check out.

I enjoyed my visit to Ciao Bella and can see why this cafe has 5 stars! It's a very cute coffee shop with a wonderful vibe. Shout to Jessica (one of the owners) who is a pleasure to talk to. I loved learning about her why in creating the space. It's a small but cozy coffee shop. While I wasn't working during my visit, it seems like a few people were. There were people on their laptop, taking video calls, having casual conversations with friends and even playing chess. They have free Wi-Fi and also have a printer and phone charging station. There are several tables to work from, a coach and arms chairs in addition to high table window seating and street side seating (not heated or fully inclosed). Based on CJ (Barista) and Jessica's recommendation we tried the pumpkin loaf (vegan) and coffee cake. The pumpkin loaf was delicious and we demolished it. The coffee cake was good but I personally preferred the pumpkin loaf. For beverages, I got an iced hazelnut matcha latte and my friend the s'mores latte. We both enjoyed our drinks. In addition to coffee, pastries and a cute working space, the host events like comedy night and dance classes. They are open every day and are pet friendly. If coffee shops are your scene or you're looking for a nice spot to work from, I'd definitely check this place out!

Time flew by as I got work done here. The bartista was friendly. With a variety of indoor and outdoor seating, their ambiance is reminiscent of Italy. There are a variety of sweet treats to order here. You can purchase wine as well. This coffee shop is great for getting work done, or catching up with loved ones. I love that Ciao Bella stays open later than most coffee shops. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

So glad we decided to pop over to Ciao Bella. Jessica, one of the owners, is an absolute doll. CJ made us some delicious drinks - we ordered the s'mores cappuccino, an iced hazelnut matcha latte, pumpkin loaf (vegan), and coffee cake. Everything was delicious. This is a great spot to work from home. Though small, there's two three distinct seating areas: regular tables and chairs, couches/loveseats around a coffee table, stools at a high bar. The music is low enough to still be able to concentrate or carry a regular conversation without straining. The playlist is also fire -- chill r&b and neo soul. They even have a printer on-site for any printing needs. They host events at night like comedy night every first Friday and have libations for happy hour in the evening. Be sure to check this small but mighty coffee shop out.

Store has good ambiance but a little on the small side. Coffee is good. They have both iced and hot coffee as well as pastries. Staff is friendly. Prices are your typical Brooklyn Coffee shop prices

I love this little coffee shop. There are quite a few near my house but this is the closest. The coffee is absolutely delicious and the baristas always make the drinks the same way (I think this is crucial). The vibe is fresh but old school. Although the shop is small they've made it very cozy. In addition to coffee they also have a variety of pastries that are brought in from Donut Plant. They are not the only place in the neighborhood that imports Donut Plant, but they are the place that imports the most DP pastries. They also have empanadas. I've never tried. I would definitely recommend giving them a chance. They have a lovely outdoor seating area! Inside and outside are dog friendly!

Service was great and ambiance was great RELAXING. Matcha was on point. PLEASE go here if you ever in Brooklyn and close to this cafe.

Ciao Bella is a charming coffee shop in the heart of PLG. The owners here a really friendly, and they have a lot of yummy baked goods. My favorite are the Doughnut Plant donuts, and I usually get an iced chai latte to wash it down. It seems that business is treating them well, as there is usually line and filled with customers that use the cafe as a working space.

Walked all the way there for a too good to go order for them to tell me they were out and the cashier was rude about it too.

Cute neighborhood coffee shop with solid lattes, friendly staff, and a nice selection of baked goods from local businesses. I especially enjoy the brownies and donuts they have here, and I appreciate their selection of flavored syrups (favorite might be the cinnamon roll).

Ciao Bella is so much more than just a coffee shop but also a community space known for hosting live music, salsa classes, and more. There's even a printer for all your printing needs. The quilted leather couch invites you to stay a while, browse their collection of books and vinyl, and browse the art they feature from local artists. The owner himself is a musician, painter, and entrepreneur and is one of the chillest business owners I've ever met. The coffee they have here is excellent, with the cappucino being the most standout beverage on their menu. Their chai lattes are also a real treat and tastes delicious with any of their pastries which include dougnuts from Doughnut Plant, empanadas from a local Brooklyn vendor, and their ever popular pumpkin loaf. They're always sure to stock a lot of these because they're so popular. They also own the brand new pizza shop around the corner called Slice Shop so if you're into progressive dining you could start with breakfast here and have lunch at the pizzeria. A recipe for a great day.

Charsu and I stopped here before making our journey into the city. I was expecting a quick in and out. Honestly, I couldn't have been more wrong. The people here are FANTASTIC! The baristas are friendly and bubbly. One of the co-owners came and talked to every single person that came in. You could tell that he has pride in his business and the community. Quite a few times, when we were talking, he waved or greeted someone enthusiastically. You can tell this is a great local spot. The sense of community and friendship is overwhelmingly positive. Everyone was so friendly. I ordered a sinful chocolate chip cookie. This cookie was moist, crumbly, and delicious. I am still having thoughts about this cookie...it might be borderline obsessive. The cookies are made in house. Some of their other pastries are bought in from local vendors such as the donuts from The Doughnut Plant. (I did get two donuts and they were yummy). I also tried the banana nut pound cake and the cannoli. Both pastries were absolutely delicious. The Banana cake was moist and flavorful. The cannoli was creamy and had a drizzle of amaretto (I think) on top that add extra oomph! They have a chef that comes in during the weekdays to make savory items, such as, empanadas and paninis. I will have to come back for some empanadas :) I also ordered a hot chocolate. I am not going to lie, I was disappointed that they didn't have marshmellowies or whipped cream. However, this hot chocolate was so delicious, it actually didn't even need it. *gasp!* It was perfect the way it was! I would highly recommend this place if you need a sweet treat and/or a delectable drink served by people who care. I would also say stop by if you ever feel lonely or need a break because you will definitely leave with a smile...!

Never again! Drip coffee is terrible. I just bought a cup and couldn't drink it was gross, watered down flavorless coffee. Brought a friend here a while ago and she said same thing. With the quality of coffee out there today there is no excuse. It's a cute place tho lol

This cafe did something no one else could do.... They converted me... I actually...like...pumpkin spice now (Dramatic scream). It's true, their pumpkin spice bread, which is more of a buttery sweet pound cake pillow of pumpkin spice has made me a new woman. I even tried their pumpkin spice chai latter, it was f@#ing good. I also tried their regular chai latte, it was nice and spicy and perfectly sweetened. The last time I had their prosciutto pesto sandwich. It was dripping cheese and pesto and was hot and delicious. I'm so happy they offer sandwiches now as well as soup. Before they offered tea, coffee, and traditional pastries and baked goods. The owners are super nice as well. Stop in. Say Hi! This is a black owned business! Stopped by on my way to a friend's place for some coffee. I had a chai latte with soymilk (they have non diary option). They also carry doughnut planet donuts - I had the tres leche and it was amazing. They also have empanadas (chicken, beef, pizza and spinach) I must say it was very bland - will not get again. The lady was super friendly and said on weekdays a Korean chef comes by and make more food! Will come again!

Love, Love, Love! The staff at this location are beyond amazing! I really am disappointed that my commute doesn't pass this place. Sometimes I add an extra 10 mins on because it is worth it. Good vibes for a small shop!

New addition to the PLG area. Inviting and quaint ambiance. Cool artwork. Welcoming and personable staff.I liked that the owner (Marco) recognized my husband on his 2nd visit. He also makes a delectable cappuccino that I savored slowly. Sidenote, they are also offer printing services.

I really wanted to love this place. It's close to my office and my apartment, it's local, and looks brilliant. However, I consistently receive poor customer service and incorrect drinks when I order from here. Every time I've ordered an almond milk latte, I receive an oat milk one. I'm not sure if this is a routine mistake or intentional. My partner's matcha had almost no matcha powder in it. It looked and tasted only of the milk. The two stars are awarded for the truly delicious pastries which are consistent and fresh without ever tasting overly sweet. It's a shame the drinks cannot meet this same high standard.

Love this place. The coffee is great, the seating is really nice and the staff is super duper friendly (just an added bonus) For all of NYC, this spot is my regular go-to.

Love coming here for a morning coffee or an afternoon pick me up. I mainly get the cold brew because of the smoothness. I would also recommend getting a pastry, last time I got a muffin, delicious, truly hit the spot. Since it's local, there's a lot of people remoting for the location. Very let's get work done vibes.

5 stars for the loveliest neighborhood coffeeshop. Ciao Bella Coffee makes me want to move to this neighborhood. I'd happily take a 20 min bus ride again to spend some time here! I tried the chai latte and got a warmed pumpkin bread slice to go. The chai latte was delicious and actually spiced well; it's supposedly inspired by a chai found in an Italian cafe in Times Square. This is your local neighborhood coffeeshop. Marco, owner of CB (part time drummer, part time coffeeshop connoisseur). chatted me up. Loved talking to him and hearing about his stories. The barista behind the counter & Marco's friend, (I believe Mingyu) is also a sweetheart. They greeted every customer that walked through the door with warmth and were friendly with all the regulars who came in. Indoor seating is currently allowed. Plenty of seating but in a slightly smaller space. I dream of the day we're all vaccinated and can sit in slightly cramped and cozy coffeeshops side by side. Aside from me, everyone took their coffee to go. They also have a couple books laying around to read in case you wanted to leisure around for a bit. Please spend your $8 coffee + pasty allowance at CB over a Starbucks. So much love in this little shop

Such a cute little place! Great vibes, great workers, great drinks, and great food. I hadn't had a chai latte in ages, so I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk, and upon recommendation, a slice of their pumpkin loaf. The chai latte was so creamy and rich, and the pumpkin loaf was an absolute delight! It was so soft, moist, and thick! The top crust has a sprinkle of sugar and pumpkin seeds and the body of the loaf was so delightfully full and tasty. It also wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like some dessert breads are. I would highly recommend trying out the pumpkin loaf if you're ever here!

Awesome coffee and I love their pumpkin bread. They also have decent empanadas for around $3 that take about 10 minutes to heat up. Great space if you want to sit down and do some work. They have a lot of seating indoor as well as an outdoor space.

What a treat! Walking in, I felt so welcomed being greeted by the barista behind the counter. She was really helpful in deciding which pastry to get (they had a nice sweet & savory spread of doughnuts, croissants, cookies, muffins), and at her recommendation I opted for the pumpkin loaf. The right choice! It was rich, sweet, and crumbly on the edges, pretty perfect. I also got a dirty chai with oat milk, and BOY, good stuff. The chai they use here delivers with a poignant spiced flavor and it really complemented their espresso well without overpowering it with sweetness. Pleasant, small shop vibes; a great place to spend your slow Saturday morning. I came as part of a Yelp Elite event, but hope to come back again soon!

Love this coffee shop it's tiny but super cute. There aren't too many of these in the neighborhood. I had the chai latte, the peanut butter cookie and the chocolate croissant. The cookie and the chai latte were amazing. The barista is friendly and pretty quick with your order. They have Wi-Fi and a good amount of seating for the place. I came around Saturday afternoon and it was full. Definitely very popular. There's also a bench and a table in the front to sit.

The vibe was SO CHILL. The service was SO NICE. The music was SO COOL. (Don't know what it was, but it was soft--I dislike loud coffee shop music--and it made me feel like a much cooler person listening to it.) The coffee was SO GOOD. The chocolate chip cookie was ONE OF THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. The gal at the shop said she had made them in the morning, and I believe she should be a professional pastry artist. The cookie was no longer warm at the time of consumption, which is obviously fine, but I point this out to marvel at the fact that somehow, it was MELTY in the best possible way. It made me melt. I will be back every time I am in PLG.

Very nice cozy little coffee spot. A little too overpopulated with hipsters on laptops inside, but the staff is friendly, polite, and good at what they do. Coffee was very tasty.

The vibes here are positive and refreshing. I stopped by after a visit to Kings County and had to get coffee and a chocolate donut that just flirted with me. I was not a fan of their coffee as I prefer stronger tasting coffee... BUT THE DONUT! Ohhh, that was so delectable and as I am writing this I wish I had one again. I'll be back to try more goods. When I went I wished they had more breakfast options like sandwiches, bagels, etc. but I did note that they had empanadas (that take about 10 minutes.) One day I hope to try them out when I have more time and reading the reviews here I think I'll get the chai latte a go. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Cute quaint cafe in easy going Prospect Leffrets. Bigger than it looks as there is seating for dining in or working inside as well. Then there is also another small table out front with bench. Upon entering I was warmly greeted. I opted for the highly recommended Chai Latte and almond croissant. The latte was the best I've had. The spices took it to the next level! So creamy, slightly sweet and then balanced by the sharp spices. Really good! I had it with oat milk but almond, half and half & whole was also available. The interior design remained true to the name Ciao Bella, lots of vintage Italian posters. But there also was pieces of art and music that reflect the neighborhood- old soul records. Gave it a nice homey feel! I also picked up some rainbow sprinkle cookies for later!

Lovely spot with super friendly service - it's easy to see why it's so highly rated, and here I go giving it yet another five star rating. The ambience is catchy and welcoming, they have a variety of hot drinks and pastries, but what really set this place apart for me was the outstandingly friendly service. I feel like at so many coffee shops the person working behind the counter will be friendly, but busy and not particularly conversational - not that I necessarily need or expect that every time, especially if I'm in a hurry myself, but it really does stand out when the person working seems to be in a genuinely pleasant mood and interested in making your day better. That's the vibe I got from Ciao Bella and why I'd be so happy to return. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk that had a nice hint of spice and was tasty for a long walk home. I'd recommend it whether you're a non-coffee drinker like me, or even if you are.

Such a cute coffeeshop hidden in Flatbush the coziness is reason enough to go! The Chai Latte is really as good as everyone says and Mingyu is a gem! Also, small dog friendly!

Amazing cappuccino with almond milk. Great froth. Definitely made my morning. They also have a selection of baked goods. Small shop, but quality coffee. When I went at 8am, there was no line, so good idea if you're in a morning rush.

This visit changed my day. I stumbled in, hot and gasping for breath because I had severely misjudged the temperature outside. I was greeted warmly and allowed to sit, a kindness in this age of Covid is understandably not given often. For that alone, I'm a customer. However, I ordered a latte with oat milk and 10 hours later, I still feel like I could run a marathon so I definitely am a customer of whatever they put in that cup. As we're in the midst of COVID-19 it was refreshing to see staff adhering to mask wearing safety precautions. I had the hazelnut latte with oat milk and it was yummy. I usually shy away from hazelnut as I find it too sweet but this was just right! Of course I also tried the almond croissant because why not?! It was delightful. Great new coffee spot in the neighborhood, I'll be back.

This is the most amazing coffee shop! Not only is the coffee incredible (top quality), but the atmosphere is perfect! The owner Marco is so nice and warm and welcoming--he just opened and already knows most of us living nearby. You won't regret stopping in and letting this become your regular spot!!

If I could rate this place a MILLION stars I would! it would justify more my experience... the Owner Marco and barista Mingyu the greeted us with such care and so much kindness, since this whole Covid story it's been rare going place and being greeted with such level of humanness... truly I am touched, this is THEE BEST! coffee shop ever the environment is kept SUPER CLEAN like (Covid-19 Sanitized), it's super cozy like a relaxing chill vibe lounge in the heart of Brooklyn prospect Lefferts Garden, the wall decor take you into another space, the sitting is very comfortable, it feels like I am sitting in the comfort of my own living room in public, if your looking for a great experience at a coffee shop come here, you will not stop coming. They have this really cool record player ... I was told they will soon allow the option for costumers to choose from their record selections what they would like to listen during their visit I m excited! Tldr 5 STARS, try the espresso and tip them lots of money Okay so here's some context for my opinion here. I've been a barista for years and over the years I've become something of an espresso snob. This place does it right. Perfectly balanced, not too bitter, pulled just for the right amount if time. In my eyes if the espresso is good than I assume any latte or other espresso based drink will be good because steaming milk is the easy part of those drinks. I will absolutely be going back to try some of the pastries they have (brownies, cookies, ect.) Right now during the pandemic they're take out only and honestly it's amazing that they're open.

HEY HEY I can't believe it! It's the best ever coffe shop in Brooklyn. The server, Marco is sooo friendly and the tast of the coffee was just perfect. The place is so bright and clean. It's the place to go.

Great coffee and great vibes! First time trying authentic Italian coffee and I got to say I been missing out!

When they had the Asian server and the black young girl, I used to love coming here! Even the owner was nice, but after they hired some older lady everything went down hill. She has a nasty attitude and energy. My chai lattes were always on point, after she started there they became watery and she would just place it on the counter without saying your order is ready or anything. Prices are quite steep. Too bad she soured everything about ciao Bella will not go back !
