6 Ways Hotels Are Becoming More Sustainable - AFAR
"Owned by the indigenous Jawoyn people in Nitmiluk National Park, the lodge provides immersive encounters with a landscape the Jawoyn have inhabited for thousands of years." - Jennifer Flowers
Really enjoyed our stay at Cicada lodge. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast and dinners in their restaurant were outstanding. But most of all the staff there were absolutely lovely. Peaceful location. A short walk to the catch the boat for gorge cruise. Well worth doing.

Lovely peaceful location on the edge of the Nitmiluk Gorge and 30 minutes drive from Katherine. Good quality lodges and amenities. The restaurant, whilst quite pricy is very good.|Evening cocktails watching the sun go down are thoroughly recommended. We had various early morning visits from a wallaby carrying a joey which was a surprise.|The gorge and national park entrance are only a few minutes walk away. The gorge cruise is a must.

A wonderful location within walking distance to the start of the Gorge River Cruise. |Afternoon drinks and canapés were a treat. Fabulous breakfast! |The dinner menu is a set price for 3 courses which changes slightly on a daily basis. There is an adjacent pool bar with a nice menu! |The staff are delightful. In particular, Neil was so friendly and most helpful with his guidance of the area!

The rooms were luxurious and had everything you would expect for a top priced room. Staff were excellent and service was good. The restaurant was exceptional. Our friends stayed in the cabins and unfortunately theirs had no shower water, but maintenance fixed that by the end of the evening. We also did the two gorge river cruise. Wonderful experience.

Just spent 2 nights in the Cicada Lodge. Wonderful experience. Katherine gorge and surrounding area is just beautiful. |The lodge itself was fantastic. The restaurant was 1st class fine dining and a special shout out to all the lovely staff. Couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful.

Cicada Lodge is truly a fabulous place to stay. It provides the access to stay within a national park. Breakfast, Canape Hour and Dinner are more then expected and truly delicious. The Staff are exceptional. My one criticism is that the resort itself does not take advantage of the views and you can only see dense bushland from the pool and accommodation, yet you are so close to the river.

Look it's expensive and it's worth it. Luxury right by the gorge. Excellent friendly service, good room, amazing food. Hard to find fault - but it is, as advertised, expensive.
