6 of us spent just one night in this well designed luxury bush retreat. Very comfortable rooms with lovely verandah overlooking the bush. modern but very sympathetic to the surroundings. |We enjoyed our welcome drink by the small pool again in bushland setting. |Complimentary sunset drinks were also appreciated. |The chef is top class. The 3 course $125 dinner with 3 choices each was fabulous. The steak and barramundi were particularly excellent. |Our waiter Trung was outstanding. He couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. He really made our stay. A delightful human being. |Some maintenance wouldn’t go astray at the lovely resort. As it is the beginning of the season, I would have thought these would have been done in the off season. For eg. the pool deck needs re staining and the gutters need cleaning and the showers could do with a thorough clean. But apart from these things, it is a lovely stay in the outback.

Comfortable and generous sized rooms. Caretakers were welcoming and gave us a few tips on where to visit. First time staying in Katherine. Would recommend this place to all my family and friends. Enjoyed our stay will be back. Hence the five stars.

Although the place looks very neat, our overall experience was disappointing. We had kangaroo as a starter which was delicious. The main dish was a Barramundi, which was served with a kind of curry sauce. This combination of tasts felt totally wrong. You could not taste the fish and the sauce was too strong. As a desert we had the brownie with icecream, which was nothing special. At the end of the evening we also realised that we got no side dishes at all with e.g vegetables. The waiter was a friendly man, who made our evening slightly better.

What a wonderful place to stay! This is a bucket list location. We were able to get it in the wet season buy 2 nights get 3rd for free. The staff were amazing, my husband had some dietary requirements- Gluten Free & Dairy Free the care from the staff in this area was amazing! If you have dietary requirements this place is for you! Highly recommend it, we will be back. Thank you.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and super attentive. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The dipping pool was refreshing. Breakfast was included and very good. No lunch service but there is a cafe in the visitor centre next door. Free aperitif drink and canapes. Dinner was very enjoyable and the chef willing to accommodate special requests in advance. Very convenient for Nitmiluk Gorge boat tours and hiking in the park. About 20 minutes drive to the town of Katherine. Relatively expensive.

This place is very special and a destination in itself. It is exclusive and professional, the villas are large, well appointed and modern with decks that look through the fragrant bush. It was so peaceful sitting in the cool of the morning listening to the birds.||What makes this place very special though is the staff, from all over the world, they clearly love their job and make a great team. Gee on check in made us feel very welcome and Killian was charming and right on the mark with his service. ||Breakfast is provided as was drinks and canapés for sunset by the pool. The menu is limited as a result of the remoteness and small amount of guests but the quality was exceptional. I had Daniel’s barramundi the first night which was beautifully cooked. This is fine dining. The second night I wanted something light and fresh and Sam the French chef went out of his way to make a beautiful salad for me and a delicious duck with jus for my husband which he raved about. ||The lodge is a short walk to the visitors centre and the gorge tour jetty and the start of many hiking trails.||Thank you to the staff for a memorable stay. Highly recommended.

The service at Cicada Lodge was outstanding! We stayed two nights during our visit to Nitmiluk National Park. Jake warmly welcomed us as we entered even though a tour bus just arrived before us. We settled ourselves into our rooms prior to our welcome drinks by the pool. This was shortly followed by sunset canapé. |The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We were able to hang out as a family in one of the rooms prior to dinner each evening. |We enjoyed two breakfasts and dinners at the lodge. Thank you Nathan, Kilian and staff for your amazing service. The food was pretty good too!
