We found Cider House when looking for a place to stay for a wedding in Waynesboro. The house is lovely, with much of the original charm, but has modern bathrooms. The bath towels were great. The bed was very comfortable. Our room had a private 2nd floor porch, which was great.
Breakfast was delicious (and huge!!) The innkeepers use local ingredients to make it even more special:
Bacon, sausage, jams, pancakes, apples and veggies from the cider house garden/orchard.
John even made an apple pie to have with our 2nd morning breakfast.
It was fun to visit the alpacas and donkeys, and give them treats.
Would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves heading back to central VA. There is a lot to do in the area - plenty of wineries and breweries if that is your thing. A beautiful part of the country.
