Cider House Bed and Breakfast

My husband and I just spent a night here while doing some hiking and visiting a few breweries on the Beerwerks trail. Lovely rooms and home, delicious homemade breakfast, and very reasonably priced! We highly recommend the Coyner room on the 2nd floor with private covered porch! Was delightful to sit out on it and watch an impressive (thankfully short) thunderstorm! Melinda is a very cordial and welcoming host. Highly recommend!!

My brother and I were Melinda’s guests at the Cider House B&B this week for a couple nights as we did some hiking and took advantage of local natural and cultural activities available in this portion of Virginia. Melinda is a charming host and wealth of information on local activities. The Cider House B&B accommodations are absolutely top shelf, with incredible attention to detail in everything from white glove cleanliness to comfortable and homey appointments throughout the property. A bonus is that the Cider House maintains a fully operational farm and orchard – complete with a menagerie of farm animals who love treats! Our breakfasts were completely homemade, masterfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. As plans for the fall harvest fun and activities develop around cider making and the all-important cider donuts are shared, we’d love to make a visit again to Melinda and The Cider House B&B!

A Perfect Stay – Warm Hospitality and Impeccable Comfort I had a wonderful experience at this charming bed and breakfast. The owner was truly amazing—gracious, welcoming, and attentive, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Breakfast this morning was absolutely delicious, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The room was spotless, with incredibly clean sheets and a cozy atmosphere that made it hard to leave! The bathroom was also impeccable—bright, fresh, and clearly maintained with great care. You can really tell that a lot of love and attention goes into this place. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-cared-for getaway. Beautiful property on a farm. The rooms are gorgeous with everything you need to have a great stay. The historic house is beautiful and well-maintained. There are animals on the farm like sheep, donkeys, cows and alpacas that you can hand feed and an orchard to walk through for a relaxing tour of the property. The property is out of the noisy hustle and bustle of the big city so you can enjoy the sounds of nature. Melinda is there to help you with great tips on where to visit or restaurant recommendations. Anything you need is available or a phone call away. Wonderful stay at a beautiful bed and breakfast.

We spent 3 nights at this characterful B&B on the edge of Waynesboro VA, an excellent location for visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains. Melinda, the owner, was welcoming and very helpful. Our attractive accommodation comprised bedroom, shower room and sitting room with view over farmland. Breakfasts were good and varied from day to day. We particularly enjoyed the varied birdlife around us and the fireflies in the evening were an added bonus. I would happily choose the B&B if revisiting the area.

We were pleasantly surprised at the cider house b&b. The decor was just beautiful. Melinda was great. She made 2 EXCELLENT breakfasts for us. Lots of information about the area. We had a balcony off our room that we sat and listened to all the beautiful birds. Great place if you are visiting the Shenandoah valley.

Charming Bed and Breakfast, Melinda is a wonderful host. Beautifully appointed rooms with period furniture. Lovely full breakfast. We enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend. The old farmhouse sits in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.

We were only able to stay one night. The room and bathroom were nice. Location was perfect for us and we got recommendations on dinner spots which were a hit. Breakfast was big, filling and delicious. Out in the country and in a farm setting, was just the ticket.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Peaceful location, clean & comfortable accommodations. So fun to feed some of the animals & even better see the new babies as well. We were served a delicious breakfast of fruit, yogurt, muffins, sausages & pancakes. Coffee & snacks were available at all times. Melinda is a wonderful host. We would highly recommend.

We found Cider House when looking for a place to stay for a wedding in Waynesboro. The house is lovely, with much of the original charm, but has modern bathrooms. The bath towels were great. The bed was very comfortable. Our room had a private 2nd floor porch, which was great. Breakfast was delicious (and huge!!) The innkeepers use local ingredients to make it even more special: Bacon, sausage, jams, pancakes, apples and veggies from the cider house garden/orchard. John even made an apple pie to have with our 2nd morning breakfast. It was fun to visit the alpacas and donkeys, and give them treats. Would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves heading back to central VA. There is a lot to do in the area - plenty of wineries and breweries if that is your thing. A beautiful part of the country.

Wonderful weekend stay. Our host Melinda was super accommodating and gave us some super tips on things to do and restaurants to visit during our stay. We had to leave early on our departure day and Melinda actually served us breakfast a full hour early. The breakfast were all delicious and most of the products locally sourced. Back porch wine was (lots of choices for purchase at a deep discount at the Inn) definitely a highlight of our stay. Highly recommend visiting!

Cider House Bed and Breakfast was absolutely idyllic. We stayed in the Coyner Suite with a long outdoor balcony overlooking the farm. Gorgeous and relaxing place. Melinda, the innkeeper, was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and everything was perfectly in order at the house. Breakfasts were delicious and the animals on the property were sweet and adorable. We had a lovely time.

Stayed here last month when my girlfriend took me there as a surprise when we couldn't get in to our regular places in Charlottesville that were all full. Almost brand new bnb and it was as nice and ran as well as any other place we have stayed. Waynesboro does not have the restaurants that Charlottesville has but there are so many vineyards and brewpubs within a few minutes drive of Cider House. We will definitely go back and see Melinda again to see how things look in the spring at her beautiful place.

The house is gorgeous, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. The property is beautiful and spacious, with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, lovely gardens and a barn with three adorable alpacas (and now a fluffy little baby donkey!! -- huge plus). Oh and the cider is delicious. All of that makes for a highly relaxing stay. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

This bed and breakfast is such a beautiful farmhouse and it is well decorated and spacious. We stayed in the upstairs suite with a balcony that looks out to the mountains and farmlands. Melinda is a good cook and she makes an excellent cider. We loved our stay there and strongly recommend it to you.
