Absolutely wonderful experience here. Staff was welcoming and kind. The tasting tour was great- we did the lunch option & the food was fantastic. We did the tour on a recommendation - cider has never been my favorite drink, but apparently I just needed to try better ciders - I was blown away how good these all were. Beautiful views from the restaurant. I would highly recommend this for an afternoon in Balestrand.

Tuba and her family were great hosts. The food was very tasty. All in all - Unforgetable experience! We were blessed with Aurora 🌌 what else could we ask for!? Tuba is an amazing storyteller!

Excellent lunch spot in Balestrand. Situated in a cute apple orchard with great views of the fjords below. The meat pie might have been the best thing we’ve had on our Norway trip. Definitely try the cider tasting as well, the juices are fresh and delicious.

Pleasant and informative way to spend an hour or two on the cider tour. The host is informative and enthusiastic and you get lots of cider facts - along with a look around the farm, brewery area, and hear the day to day stories. Then you get to taste 5 ciders with food. They were instantly accommodating of our vegetarian needs and also had a tasty non alcoholic option. Overall, a must do!

We chose to do the cider tasting and tour paired with lunch. It certainly did not disappoint. The tour was informative and it was nice that it didn't feel scripted or very commercial -there were only 6 other people in our group. The surroundings are gorgeous so it was really nice to be able to explore them a bit more. When it came time for the tasting, we were even more pleased. Both the ciders and the food were exceptional. We also loved that they were able to accommodate our vegetarian and vegan requests. We felt like they went above and beyond to accommodate this and didn't just leave items off. For my vegan daughter, they made her a beetroot dish that was unbelievable.

Amazing experience top to bottom! Ciderhuset is the type of place that is both defined by the Sognefjord region and is also helping to define it. It’s a must visit if you’re in the region and a travel worthy destination if you’re a cider/food/Norwegian/fjord enthusiast!

Amazing family business producing nice cider, jus and much more. Was a pleasure to visit. Definition must visit place and would recommend to book the dinner or dégustation session, you wil have true pleasure. Be carefully with local limitation - you need to buy cider you like before 20:00.

If you are spending time in Balestrand, you must visit Ciderhuset - I would greatly recommend the lunch pairing. We had a delicious five courses, each with their own perfectly paired cider. The cider was great, of course, but the food was unbelievable. A mix or Turkish/Norwegian that is indescribable, you will leave quite satisfied. The grounds are beautifully situation overlooking the Sognefjord. It was a great way to spend an afternoon!
