Ciel Dubai Marina Will Become the World’s Tallest Hotel - AFAR
"Opening in November, I note the 82-floor property is billing itself as the world’s tallest hotel at 1,237 feet — 68 feet taller than the current record-holder, the 1,169-foot Gevora Hotel — although Ciel representatives said that Guinness had not yet recognized the claim at press time. Designed by Norr Group, the shimmering, needle-like tower occupies an entire 1.1 million-square-foot structure dedicated solely to the hotel; it will house 1,004 rooms and suites across 82 floors, all with floor-to-ceiling windows. Interiors draw on natural elements such as water, fire, and earth, and guest rooms are inspired by the ocean and promise showstopping views of landmarks including the Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Sea, Dubai Marina’s skyline, and the city’s mix of gated communities, golf courses, and desert sprawl. The hotel’s managing director said the property “truly redefines the skyline.” A spa is scheduled to open on the 61st floor in February 2026, rooms start from $337 per night (excluding taxes and fees), and the location offers easy access to nearby attractions with tram, metro, and water taxi stations within a 10-minute walk." - Nicola Chilton
