My wife and I just spent 5 wonderful nights at the Cima Rosa. There are many places to stay in Venice but this has to be a top choice for any traveler not matter the budget. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed. The breakfast is more than ample and is located in a beautiful room with a view of the Grand Canal. The Cima Rosa is located within 100 yards of the San Stae vaporetto stop with no bridges to cross so it is super easy to get to.
The best thing about this place is the great service. My wife developed a mobility problem during our 3 week trip in Europe and I wrote to the hotel in advance of our arrival asking about a wheelchair. The manager, Cora, not only arranged for the rental of the wheelchair but met us at the vaporetto stop when we arrived (at 8 PM mind you) to wheel my wife back to the hotel. It's hard to imagine that happening in too many places. Cora is such a gem with other things as well such as booking great restaurants, helping with tickets to St. Mark's Basilica, directions to various things to see and do, departure suggestions and the like.
No matter you budget, Cima Rosa must be on your list of places to stay in Venice.
