Itinerary for a great day in Singapore: Episode 03 - SilverKris

"A top gin-focused bar housed within a downtown hotel, boasting an extensive selection of artisanal gins (around 500 labels) and a refreshed signature cocktail list; highlights include inventive cocktails such as a gin-and-tea martini with white gingerlily-infused gin and an exclusive Finnish rye gin expression, with options to increase gin servings for a small surcharge." - Rachel Eva Lim

Cin Cin is a stylish bar nestled in the hotel’s lobby, celebrated for its vintage-glam ambiance and gin-forward repertoire—with over 100 gin labels available. The design is “part-classy, part-vintage”, offering an elegant yet relaxed vibe ideal for winding down with a drink. Drinks & Special Offerings The bar specializes in craft cocktails and gin-based drinks, including custom Martinis A neat treat: they launched an Oyster After Hours promotion—3 oysters for just S$5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 pm (with a drink purchase). Experience & Reviews Highly recommended for gin aficionados and those seeking a refined yet inviting space. Design-forward and comfortable—often described as a hidden gem for a quiet night out. An expensive bar with a awful view large windows ground floor faceing backside of buildings on the front of the hotel would get a better foot fall as from the Tanjong Pagar crowd

Waited >40mins for the food in an empty bar on a weekday night. On my birthday no less. Very disappointing birthday honestly. Although the ambience is nice and drinks are nice, don't think I want to come back if the wait time is so long when it's already empty to begin with.

Lovely cocktail bar. Been here a couple of times. Love their gin based cocktails. Happy hour at $16 per cocktail, but only 4 different types. G&T going for $10. They serve great bar snacks. Was told the snacks come from Marmalade Pantry. One of the better truffles fries I had. Buffalo wings was great too. Cozy ambience and excellent service.

Ordered a Tai Tonic cocktail here and was very excited to try it. Unfortunately, it appeared none of the ingredients were included as it tasted like seltzer water, had a straw, and there was no garnish. I asked the wait staff and bartender about this as my partner’s non-alcoholic drink had a better taste and look than my $24 + GST drink. I emailed about this and was told the drink “may not have been prepared as intended” and I could try to visit again. There was no offer of the drink being complimentary. Disappointing. I do not recommend going here.

Truly disappointed by what we had experienced yesterday. Made a reservation for the first seating of the gin buffet at 3pm and at 3.02pm, the place was still dark, no staff, not opened. Approached staff at Marmalade Pantry for help and they kindly assisted to contact the Manager but…. it took almost an hour before we were told, staff on duty was not feeling well, another staff would be making the way down but that would take at least another hour. 😱 We were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday but sadly, what we left with was just… pure disappointment 😞. Seems like reservation or not, it doesn’t really matter. Not too sure how ops is meant to be ran at the bar.

Nestled within the CBD, the prices of drinks at the bar are really reasonable given its location. Great selection of Gin is available, even from the happy hour offer which is available all the way up to 8pm. The Gin cocktails were somewhat of a hit and miss - but the Majulah Singapura was a great hit. Surprisingly, the food served is actually good! The sliders are great, and the cheese platter is nice as well.

Bartenders here are very knowledgeable and helpful. Not a huge gin drinker, but the cocktails were very well made and tasty. They have a free gins here that they have infused with Green Tea, and another that is infused with Chamomile-Tangerine-Hibiscus. Those were very well made and seemed to be tested with care. Please try this place as its top notch!

Last visited in Apr 2024 Have visited Cin Cin quite a few times over the years and their creativity with gin cocktails is worth praising every time. During my most recent visit, we ended up trying quite a few drinks. My favourites were the Kopi Kaki, Bloody Berry, Golden Fox Negroni and the Foxy Badger. The Kopi Kaki drink is a must try in my view. Service is quite good here. Cin Cin is definitely one of the best gin cocktail bars in SG, and if gin cocktails are your thing, this place is a must visit.

Yelp
If you are looking for Gin Gin, then this is your Win Win! Boasting over 100 gins, and accessed through the Oasia Hotel lobby, this specialist gin bar is ideal for gin newbies and connoisseurs alike. They currently have a 5-6-7 happy hour here, where a gin+mixer goes for $5 at 5, $6 at 6 and $7 at 7. At the time of writing the happy hour gin was The Botanist, which is a remarkable multi-layered gin. Described by it's creators thus "22 hand-foraged local island botanicals delicately augment nine berries, barks, seeds & peels" - so it's not your typical well/house pour. For smokers there is easy outside access as you can simply walk straight from the bar into the sidewalk surrounding Oasia itself, where there are conveniently located smoker's bins available for the durry munchers! The interior is fairly clean, medium-sized with enough tables for a group get-together or work party, but it does fill up fairly fast post work with stressed workers looking to get a quick tipple on before heading home. Behind the bar itself itself is an impressive collection of gins from all around the world, meticulously lined-up against crisp, clean glass. There are some interesting snack options - I tried the gruyere mushrooms recently - and I'll bet my bottom dollar there is something on the menu that has truffle (or truffle oil) on it, in it, or made from it. The service here is OK, and that's probably a solid reason why this isn't a 5, but there is a more compelling reason why this is more of a 3.5-4 star bar. The bar has a sterile feel to it, and this stems no doubt from the impeccable placement of everything (not a bad thing necessarily, and certainly not a complaint). However, this then lends itself to a lack of atmosphere, and it is why it is a great happy hour place, or even a great date starter - but wouldn't be a place where you spend the entire night.

Yelp
I'd give this place 3.5 stars but you can't give half a star so.. Here we are. I liked the selection of gins here and I enjoyed the cocktails even if they were on the pricey side. Even the truffle fries weren't bad. However, the service was dismal and getting the attention of the waitstaff was just impossible. I enjoyed their drinks and would love to go back for a G&T since their gin selection is quite extensive! There are also monthly gin bottle promotions so if you visit in a group, that seems like a great deal.

Yelp
Had the Dr.Earl Potion which is a mixture of citrus with malty sweetness. I like my drinks sour so this is fantastic. Bartenders are friendly, cool vibe place, Instagram worthy interior and exotic whiskies placed at bar for a perfect unwind moment
