Google
One of the oldest airports in the US. The remodel must have happened when it was a major hub, with the planes so far away from the terminal. The artwork is something else. Only real complaint is the TSA lines and the security system overall. It looks cool, but super slow.

Google
Most amazing thing about this airport is that it has a big prayer hall where you perform your Salaah because as a Muslim you pray five times a day. One of the best airports in USA

Google
Pretty nice, clean, and appears small, but not too small airport. Terminals are far apart from each other, but there are a lot of walking bands and even a train woww, sorry never seen one in an airport before!! Good selection of fast and specialty restaurants. I was here for a few hours on stop scale so can’t rate TSA security!! Friendly personal, good experience!!

Google
CVG Clean, spacious airport. Variety of airport eateries a long with smaller spaces for snacks, magazines, apparel, electronics. Be prepared to walk to get to concourses. Thankfully, there is a train. You can also use the conveyor walkways. Kids will find this to be fun. Be mindful of someone behind you wants to pass you! Rental car access is convenient. Restrooms are common, and they are clean and spacious. Drinking water dispensers are also common. Information desk staff are helpful. Airport signage getting to and exiting are clear and well placed.

I had to drive from Chicago all the way to CVG Airport because I missed three flight trying to head home from Market Days in 2023. That was a interesting ride, and I'm not taking about the road trip either. There was really not much to see there but I was able to stop in Gary Indiana to ass the childhood home of Micheal Jackson. That was shocking to see that therere places in America that are falling apart at the seems. But CVG airport was a life saver. I was able to get home, security was easy, it was pretty easy to find, it was a pretty well designed Airport as well to be in the middle of nothing and no where. If you find yourself near by I highly recommend this wonderful airport.

Google
2024 SEP As airports go, it's not too bad Big place with people and security and overpriced stuff in the concourses. Parking is rough, but the layout is logical and it's not too bad to do a pickup or dropoff. Plenty of long term parking companies with shuttle service nearby as well. TSA has some new equipment which means you don't have to dump your entire bag for inspection - just drop it in the bin and pick it up on the other side. Sweet! Interesting displays in the concourses (Museum Center has fossil Mastodon and such currently).

Google
Awesome experience. The airport is very well marked from the moment you exit the interstate. Parking is easy to navigate and fairly convenient for terminal access. Check in with American Airlines was fast and friendly. While American Airlines does not offer a lounge in this airport Amex offers a nice well appointed lounge in terminal B. I highly recommend this airport.

Google
I really love this airport. I haven’t been to many so I don’t really know what to compare it to lol. It’s huge, the trains are cool . The employees were nice . The exhibits/ art were absolutely fantastic.

Yelp
Big airport. Lots of parking. Many flights are less expensive from here than other area airports. Huge selection of destinations.

Yelp
I like this smallish airport. It's a manageable size, it feels clean, and I like that there are small exhibits from the local museums. On our visit, they had extinct animal casts, including one of an American mastodon. The kids loved that! We flew in after 8PM on a Friday, and the place was almost empty, and most businesses were closed. On our flight out on Monday mid-day, the place was still not very full. This is an underutilized airport, but I'm not complaining! All the rental car companies are located connected to the airport, which is nice. They have TSA pre-check and Clear, and doing either makes a huge difference in getting through security quickly.

Yelp
I love CVG because it is on the smaller size and really easy to navigate, yet is still an international airport with flights all over the country and world. I also love the availability of lounges and food choices. I often arrive early enough to enjoy the Priority Pass lounge, which has lots of great food and drinks, AC, power outlets, fast wifi, etc. I also find parking at the airport to be pretty easy. There is a cell phone lot if you are waiting to pick someone up, long term parking for a reasonable price, and many affiliate parking options, like Fast Park, who shuttle you straight to the airport.

Yelp
The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport is a nice enough place to travel through. It's small and incredibly easy to get around, which makes the whole experience so much less stressful. While you're waiting, there are interesting displays of fossils and artifacts from the local museum that give you something fun and unique to check out. There's also an adorable little library where you can relax and browse, which I thought was such a nice touch. Plus, the airport is pretty quiet overall, which was really nice for my early morning layover.

Yelp
The Cincinnati airport has a lot of walking once you get past ticketing and security. There is a train to take you to the A or B terminal but it's not a bad walk if you have a longer flight to get some steps in. There is a Starbucks in terminal A but be prepared to wait. The security line for tsa pre check was short and took maybe 3-5 minutes at the most. I can't speak to baggage claim.

Yelp
Great small efficient and friendly support. Shuttles go to the terminals but you can also walk it with moving pathways. They have a nice history display here that's interesting where it started w $2 million to open this airport granted by the president. Many major and discount airlines fly out of here and both Kentucky and Cincinnati Ohio areas this airport is near have great nice people. The food scene is nice also ... just a bit salty most of the food. They have 2 priority pass lounges in Terminal A and B. So for a small airport they have everything you need. Uber and Lyft come here and there are buses that go downtown for $1.75. Enough charging stations even if it's not all over the airport and enough updated areas. But mostly I appreciate the kindness of the staff who work here. Keep it friendly CVG! Thank you. No space for mean and negative attitudes like some big cities.

Yelp
It was a connection here and we stayed maybe 2 hours around. Overall small airport and wasn't difficult to navigate around. A bunch of eating options were there near the gate too. Not the cleanest airport but overall not bad as well. During our visit it was not that crowded too and the lanes were wide enough.

Yelp
Has CVG had a glow up recently? I don't fly in enough but I was definitely impressed during my latest visit to Cincinnati. I flew in through Southwest and the airport is clean, bright and open with plenty of seating and dining options. On my way in I easily made my way down to baggage claim and then to the rental car area. I LOVE that the rental cars are attached to the airport and walkable, instead of having to find a shuttle. It was so easy to go from the baggage claim, grab the car and head out. AND on the way back I had just as easy a time. On my return trip I was able to drop off my rental car, head to the Southwest Kiosk to tag my checked bags and drop them off and then head to security. I was there at about 7am and the security lines were LONG. The regular lines were bleeding into the ticketing area and they could definitely use some updates for this. I went over to the TSA precheck line and it was long, but not crazy, I was through it within 20ish minutes. There was some frustration from people in line around me that I overheard as there are now multiple forms of upgraded security checks, so they were bringing people into the TSA pre-check line and letting them cut to the front which slowed things down too. Once I was through security it was easy sailing. The airport is clean, open, and easy to navigate. I found my gate, was able to use the restroom which was clean and had plenty of stalls, and even headed over to Terminal B to grab Skyline Chili for breakfast. My gate had plenty of seating, room for people to get into the Southwest lines without feeling like sardines AND it was air conditioned and really pleasant in the terminal. My biggest tip would be to come early, like earlier than you would normally and enjoy the extra time with some tasty food.

Yelp
Headed overseas and decided to fly from CvG instead of Indianapolis because it was a little cheaper for the route we wanted. Monday morning and not too busy. TSA was pretty quick and the agents were friendly and accommodating. Then a quick train ride to The Gate. Nice and open. Lots of food choices quick serve counter service and full service. The airport is in good shape and has a nice contemporary look.

Yelp
It's an airport with a bourbon bar - not much better than that! Ok, in all seriousness this airport is a sprawl of an airport that ensures you will get your steps in. I was very grateful for the fantastic way finding signs because without them I am positive I would had been lost and frustrated. There were a lot of turns and going up escalators that I didn't anticipate but the signage ensured I made it to my destination. The TSA pre-check was empty when I arrived and I found the TSA agents in this day in this airport to be the friendliest I encountered. I was a bit wary of how friendly they were! I never had a ton of time here but I found the restrooms clean, the space well managed, and everything felt crowded. I could not find an empty seat near my gate an hour before departure so I sat at the nearby bourbon bar and drank a dram while discussing bourbon before boarding. It is a fine airport.

Yelp
Solid 4 star experience every time I fly in/out of CVG which is just about monthly. With the exception of an early morning departure, wait a checkpoint is usually under 10 minutes and even as low as 5 minutes. Once thru security the walk is not terrible to either of the concourses or you can wait on the train which most of the time is a longer wait than walking. I almost always fly out of Concourse B on Delta or American. Vendor options are getting better (but not as good/plentiful when Delta had a hub here). There is more focus on drinking that eating at this airport so if you have a connection here that could pose a small problem. Also, for the early departures, lets say before 6:30am and after 8pm there is not a lot to choose from that is open. The airport itself is growing a little bit with more non-stop flights in markets that can get you where you want to be.

Yelp
I've never walked so far in an airport in my whole life. Apparently, they've built an addition and that's where you go to pick up the long term parking shuttles. So you walk from your gate a million miles (past the shuttles) to baggage claim then back again to the shuttle. It seems like a very clean airport with plenty of signs and restrooms. Restrooms are essential in the airport. So are directional aids. I wish my phone were charged. As we walked from gate to luggage there were several models of old steamships and paddleboats. Friendly airport. Hard to get lost, even though not a whole bunch is marked. Just don't be in a hurry. 08/23

Yelp
I really like this airport. Often called just Cincinnati airport, but actually is located in Ky across the river close to the Ohio border. Its not a really large airport, but yet bigger than many regionals like my home airport in Norfolk, Va. Both American and Delta have a presence which helps me. I think they have two terminals. There are a few full service food options, but really not much. However the ones they have are not poor either. It's clean and never seems overly busy. It also has a fresh newer feel. The restrooms are well maintained. I also really like the rental cars are on site. Passengers can take a short train to baggage claim or walk. They display some cool prehistoric animal statues in the main corridor which is certainly unique. As well as neat modes of transportation that's on loan. I will have many more trips in the future through Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky's airport with my daughter living nearby.

Yelp
It's been a while since I used to fly out of this airport regularly. Today I came only to return a one-way rental car. It's clear that there have been lots of upgrades to the facility since the time when I frequented here probably about 7-10 years ago now. The new rental car center is extremely nice, well organized and well lit. All of the photos I uploaded are of the pathway that brings you from the rental car center into the airport. It's really convenient to have the rental car area connected to the airport rather than a shuttle ride away.

Yelp
Beautiful airport with really cool monuments around as you come in. So far I have only flown in, and will be flying out in a few days, but the staff is friendly and helpful and the airport itself is beautiful!

Yelp
Excellent new airport. Much of it appears to have been redone. Really like what they've done. Has and lounge for Passport Select members and that is where we are going next. We arrived at CVG economy parking and the shuttle was convenient. It took less than10 mins to get to the airport from economy parking. Next stop, Minneapolis!

Yelp
What a wonderful airport! I was not expecting for this airport to be so up to par! First of I want to say THANK YOU for actually having working moving sidewalks! (Unlike CLT) and THANK YOU for not using carpet flooring! (Unlike IAD) And THANK YOU for having wide walkways and clean restrooms! And overall the workforce is fantastic, very joyful employees. FANTASTIC JOB CVG!

Yelp
We flew out of here to head home after a Bourbon Trail trip that ended in Cincinnati. In contrast to pretty much everyone in my home state of NY, including myself, everyone we interacted with in this airport was very nice. I don't remember being bitched at by even TSA if you can believe it, they were ALSO nice and cracked a joke with me. What planet is this airport on? I saw that our first flight was delayed and due to fear of missing our connection, I spoke with the check in agent about changing my flight to a nonstop to an airport a little further from my house but well worth the extra distance in this circumstance. He was able to change my flight without issue. We use clear and I'm always happy to see it, knowing that my security experience will be a touch easier. We had a little bit of extra time so we went to the clear people to get them to redo GF's biometrics (it literally never recognizes her it's such a hassle) and they spent a bunch of time redoing it. Hopefully now, it works well. We went to a mini centurion lounge after security. When I say mini, I mean literally the smallest "lounge" I have ever seen. It was like a studio apartment version of a lounge. The food was better than you would expect, they even had a vegan sausage polenta dish, which is much better than I've seen in "bigger shit" lounges. Again, the staff here were very nice. The gate agent was also very respectful and friendly, she honored my request for an upgrade to first class due to my airline loyalty status. Boarding was seamless. The only thing I would say is bigger lounges/more options
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
A very convenient medium sized airport. Extremely clean and contemporary interior with a wide variety of dining and shopping options. A Centurion lounge partner lounge can be found here in the B gate area. The terminal is bright and airy with many windows and lots of natural light. Gates are a bit distant from the baggage claim and checkin in areas, but moving sidewalks as well as an automated train are available. I was very impressed by the organized security lanes with both pre-check and Clear available. I was through security in five minutes, and the TSA personnel were actually friendly! Signage is extremely clear, and the complementary WiFi was fast and easy to use. I'm impressed with this airport!

Yelp
Flew into Cincy because the prices to fly into Dayton were crazy (MIL lives in Kettering). Decent airport. Small and you only got A or B terminal. Easy access to the tram if you don't want to walk between the terminals. My only complaint was food options, but it is what it is.

Yelp
Y'all - this was a wild experience... and disclaimer: almost every review I write is four or five stars, so a one-star review coming from me means that there needs to be improvement... STAT. We flew with a newborn to England and back, and let me tell you - that is not for the faint-hearted. We arrived at the Cincy airport from London at around 10pm, exhausted from a long journey. The customs line was quick and the agent was probably the friendliest we've ever experienced. Awesome. After we got past customs, we were ushered to the baggage claim. Totally normal. The staff were bringing over dolly carts for everyone, as everyone had a ton of luggage / strollers / car seats / etc from such a long trip. Everyone started exiting baggage claim with all of their belongings piled high, eager to leave and get home. However, we all walked through the doors with our loaded-up carts and were told that in order to leave the airport, we needed to drop off ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE again on a carousel, go through security, take out all of our liquids/shoes/etc, and wait in line to do so. Everyone was so confused that no one moved. People started saying things like "why would we have to go through security to exit the airport?" and "we literally just got all of our stuff, why are we checking it all over again?" You can imagine that people were furious. More so, it just didn't make any sense at all. We all just wanted to exit the building and there was no sign or warning that this was coming. I've flown so much and to so many different countries and have never experienced something this illogical. While re-going through security, they were telling everyone that no liquids could come through. SO many people had bought alcohol, perfume, etc through the duty-free store in London and were so confused. One group had just been on a golfing trip in Scotland and had to give away $700 worth of Scottish whiskey that they had bought. The reasoning behind it all is that the terminal we got dropped off at is a further one that connects back to the airport, so the security guard was telling everyone that we could've gotten something out of our checked bag and walked back into the airport. I'm all for safety, but WHY was this layout ever created this way. Why is there no warning for everyone and why can't they restructure it so there isn't a public mutiny every time this flight lands at the airport? It felt embarrassing too because there was a big "welcome to the USA sign" as the backdrop as everyone was finding out the news and getting so mad. It wasn't the first impression I'd want for our country for all of the international guests that are arriving. The security guards were just doing their job, but they said they really hope that the airport restructures in the future and I hope so too. We were so excited that there's a direct flight from Cincy to London, but this really tainted the experience as it felt almost like a social experiment or prank.

Yelp
Traveled to Cincinnati for business in May 2024 and had plenty of time to get my steps in after my arrival, and prior to my departure a few days later. Actually, I thought the airport would be bigger given the size of Cincinnati. They have several stores and dining options but not as much as bigger airports. I checked out both terminals for places to eat and ended up doing fast casual rather than sit-down both times. Seems easy to navigate once you know where your gate is.

Yelp
Good Airport. Nice shops and comfortable and friendly service. Well done and good selection of goods

Yelp
Its a small airport that will put you out of breath. I had my direct flight from BWI. This airport is small, yet clean. Theres a BUT, theres a lot of walking here, Not many dining options here, Subway, Starbucks ( my saving Grace), Blaze pizza ( create your own pizza) and some other places. Im glad theres a walking ramp, cuz my body was already exhausted from my dreadful flight on Southwest. Lots of places to charge your device. Clean bathrooms, they are like mini stalls. Signs are a bit confusing to exit. Its like about a 8 minute walk from the exit gate from GW (A5) After I got my Starbucks, I followed the signs that said Ground Transportion. A lot of walking, going through the stairs, and another walkway. I finally made it to baggage claims, got my luggage, and met my fam. The airport very well kept. Nice airport personnel. I believe they only handle 2 airlines and they only handle domestic flights, lots of flights to Denver, Chicago and DC area.

Yelp
This airport is a midsize airport with a very nice food court. They have a Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Wendy's, and a few other familiar restaurants. It is fairly clean. The seats have charging ports so you don't have to stand against the wall. I love all of the prehistoric skeletons. Very cool!

Thomas H.

Yelp
I've flown in and out of this airport 4 times this year and they have by far the rudest TSA agents in the county.
google avatar

Lori B.

Yelp
This is a small airport with two main terminals. Both terminals/concourses are bright & airy, and very clean. If you look around, some cool art can be found. The seats at our gate (& I'm assuming all gates) had both electrical & USB outlets under every 3-seat groupings. At CVG, you can visit both concourse A and B without exiting security, so all of the food & shopping options are available during a layover. That said, choices are limited. The restaurants with table-service offer nearly identical menus, unless you want to spend more on Outback (we didn't, bc Outback is all over Tampa & we can eat there any time). The QSR restaurants in Concourse A were limited but B had Gold Star Chili, McDonald's & Chick FIL A (& a bagel place). Transiting between the concourses was fairly easy, by walking or using the tram. My biggest complaint about this airport is that they don't have a smoking area anywhere in either terminal. The only option was to go through security to exit the building, and then go back through TSA to re-enter. I don't smoke but had to listen to hubs complain about this for almost 5 hours during our layover. He may have found a work-around, according to my nose. Another complaint is that I could only get alcohol from a bar or Smashburger. Hubs planned to snooze through most of our lengthy layover so I wanted to get a drink *to-go* & sit with him near our gate - I ended up with an aluminum bottle of Bud Light. Aside from my privileged gripes, this airport was exceptionally clean. The bathrooms were plentiful, stocked and very sterile (in a good way). The wifi was decent, & in spite of me being spoiled at larger airports, the food vendors were good for an airport of this size. I probably won't cringe if I find myself at this airport again for several hours. Fun fact, this airport is not in Ohio.

Yelp
Not a bad airport for a former big hub. It's spacious with lots of room to spread out in. All Delta flights go out of Concourse B whereas most other airlines go out of Concourse A. It's good to be aware of this as most of the good food options are in B. So if you get here early and need some grub, I think it's best to go straight to B. They have the chili!! Take the underground tram if you want to get there a bit quicker. It's quite a walk from the main terminal to B. I feel like security is great here. Recently flew out of Seattle and Newark and they do not have the updated security equipment that CVG has. You do not have to take out your electronics. I get through security much faster here. But depending on the logistics of flying, security can either be quick or lots of line waiting. Had a bad experience recently unfortunately. We landed at 11:15 pm on a Tuesday and just short of the gate, we had to wait for nearly 10 minutes for ground crew to escort us in. That was frustrating! Only bad thing that's happened to me here though.

Yelp
Often our business and leisure travel airport of chioce Miss Comair and C terminal Comair permitted us many US airport direct options We are confirmed members of Marriott, and the nearby Marriott property has a policy that we may park free for the extent of our visit from 3 days to 6 weeks Always love CVG Outback or nearby Bonefish Grill CVG is a great alternative to DAY

Yelp
Air travel is not as pleasurable or glamorous as it once was, but some airports offer at least a reasonably convenient experience. This airport is easy to get around and although there's a bit of walking involved, there is a train that services the remote concourse to speed you through. It also has a couple of third party lounges (The Club, Escape) along with a Delta Sky Club for those flyers. The airport recently completed its addition to accommodate on-site car rentals so you can now rent and return vehicles inside the terminal building rather than taking a bus shuttle to a remote lot. Overall, it's a clean and modern facility that does what it should fairly well.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Great! Easy clean airport. It's easy to get around and do what you need to do bathrooms are clean. Walkways a. Roomie, everything is fine
google avatar

Juan Pablo S.

Yelp
Security is very slow. TSA is never friendly. Lines are long. The airport is small but I actually like it. Use this airport more than warranted possibly. The food options are limited but they have the basics including Graeter's Ice Cream.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
Very clean and efficient airport. It is large so you do walk a lot but it nice. They have a great view of the city and the staff is helpful.

Yelp
Came here while on a layover. I love airport souvenir shopping so I enjoyed perusing the various shops. Very easy to navigate and clean.
google avatar

Yelp
What a dump pole of an airport. It took 23 minutes to get through a TSA pre check line that had four people. Complete incompetent fools that work there along with screeners and anyone else that can't manage bags through a scanner. On a different note, the Starbucks is the worst I've ever had, and seen throughout the United States. The staff is completely rude they give you the wrong order, and they have nothing nice to say. Avoided at all costs.
google avatar

Siobhan D.

Yelp
This airport is bright, clean, well organized, and staffed with nice people! I moved quickly to baggage claim and rental cars! I super appreciate rental cars being on site!!! No shuttle to offsite center needed, so that was a nice surprise! Very clean, like, extra clean! Shout out to the cleaning staff! The whole place was bright, cheery and spotless. Oh, and they have both a Subway shop and a Subway vending machine!!!! I love Subway sandwiches on flying days!! Well done to all.

Yelp
That's a nice airport that my family and I waited that before boarding to go to Orlando. It is a rather small airport that is easy to walk around which I appreciate it. I did offer a few murals in statues to look at take pictures of and have good quality restaurants in the establishment.

Yelp
TLDR: People here are friendly. Pack light if possible because claiming bags can be a pain here. The airport is quite long to get across and layout isn't the greatest. Signage could be better for where to get a taxi or oversized luggage. Prepare to check your roll-on luggage at the gate. Some say CVG is an efficient airport, you only need to arrive 1.5-2hr in advance, and that's plenty of time to make your flight-- I'm here to share my experience of spending ~7hrs+ at this airport due to American Airlines' multiple delays. This is an experience from a Canadian (Torontonian) who usually flies to International airports... sorry, I'm not a fan of this airport. Arrival Cincy is a regional airport, not an international hub, so most flights in and out are smaller and do not support a rolling carry-on on the overhead compartment. Despite my luggage being the universal carry-on size for international travel, I had no choice but to check in my carry-on at the gate and line up with all the passengers to pick it up at the foot of the gate upon arrival (no baggage claim was needed). I also checked a separate bag, which exposed me to how long and inefficient the layout of this airport is. I walked from one side to the other on the top floor and went downstairs to walk the other way back to the baggage claim area. I waited until everyone except me claimed their bag, only to find out that my bag was considered oversized and not on the turnstile, and there was a separate oversized bag claim area on the other end of the baggage claim area. No signage on this. I had to ask to find out. I usually take a cab from the official taxi station at the airport to support local licensed cab drivers instead of Uber. Sometimes it's slightly cheaper than calling an airport Uber (no airport fee). No signage of where it is. I followed directions from an airport employee and went to an area with shuttle buses but no clear designated area for taxis. One person there pointed to where it was and tried to lead me there. It didn't look official to me because it was dark and looked a bit sketch with people's personal cars instead of licensed permits clearly labelled on the taxi cabs. No one officially directing passengers to vehicles. I was the only one waiting for a cab. I'm skeptical if those cars are official cab drivers, so I called an Uber to be safe. Departure Foodwise, there is a bagel shop, Starbucks, Mcdonald's and Chick Fil A (closed on Sunday though), to name a few. Finding a healthy spot to buy a salad is challenging. Only a few shops to explore and shop, like a candy shop and a Tripadvisor souvenir shop. The only highlight is the people there, from the enthusiastic bagel shop employees that served me, the lady that helped me get into an earlier flight (I would've been delayed longer than 10hrs+) and the retired lady from Cincy sitting next to me on my flight. She was so lovely and we chatted the entire flight from Cincy to Charlotte! She doesn't have social media, so I didn't really get her contact on the rush out. What a missed connection.

Yelp
I flew into CVG airport from my hometown of Charleston (through Baltimore) and flew home (through Chicago/Midway) via Southwest Airlines. The airport is actually just over the river in Kentucky, but public transit is available to quickly get to Cincinnati. On our inbound flight, our checked bags were off the plane and onto the carousel quickly. On my outbound flight, security was fast- and the guard didn't even make me take my sweater off like the Charleston TSA did. Even at 7 AM on a Sunday morning, Subway, Starbucks, and other food options were open. The Southwest employee who helped me gate check my bag was in a great mood and helpful for an early Sunday morning flight. The airport is large but not crowded. The wifi is free and easy to use, and the seats in the boarding area have USB and plug outlets for charging your devices. Having a good airport close by makes me likely to travel to Cincy again.

Yelp
It's the airport near home, not too big also not too small. Clean, neat, organized as always. Free Wi-Fi works great! 2 terminals, places to eat, shops, also bank with ATM. It has everything u will expecting for airport! I just hope more flights came out of here internationally.

Yelp
We actually live much closer to the Dayton Airport, but we always choose to fly out of Cincinnati instead! There are always way more flight options and destinations and they are usually much cheaper. We like to fly out early in the morning (between 6-7am) because you don't hit the Cincinnati traffic and there is no line at Security. It usually takes 10 minutes or less to get completely through security. Once through, the airport is always clean and well maintained, especially the bathrooms. There are plenty of food options and we can usually grab a quick snack before we have to board. We usually park in the Value or Econo Lots depending on how long we will be away. It is much cheaper than the garage and they have shuttles running constantly back and forth. We plan on using this airport as our go to for any future vacations.

Yelp
While I do think the airport has a loooooong walk between terminals and baggage area, they do have shuttles running every 4 min or so. Now the long walk doesn't end there if you have to go west for hotel transportation. This airport seems massive compared to how many people are actually using it. Upside is that TSA line is very quick. The airport is clean and well maintained. Food options are kinda limited. Terminal B has Chick-fil-a, Outback, McDonald's and Gold Star Chili in the center. They also have Starbucks and a salad vending machine. McDonald's always has a long line but you can use app and order ahead. Workers are generally nice (could be slow at times) and price is reasonable. Besides the walk, I think CVG is pretty decent airport. Good job CVG!

Yelp
We went to Starbucks before our trip! We were in desperate need of some coffee. We had an early morning flight (so did about a million other people)! There were probably 20 people in front of our line. We did a mobile order on my mom's phone. We got our food and drinks in about 25-30 minutes. I got a coffee that had cinnamon in it. It was awesome I also got egg bites YUM! This is kind of a flying tradition that I will never quit!

Yelp
Security lines way to slow. Parking is always full it's just not worth the hassle to fly from her

Yelp
Great airport! Several parking options including valet. Ticket desk and luggage drop off agents are so helpful. Security is well organized. There are many places to eat and shop. The restroom are clean.

Yelp
I found myself venturing to the Midwest to see a friend, and lo and behold, Cincinnati Airport (CVG) was the closest port of travel. Who would have thought that the Cincinnati Airport is in Kentucky? (For those of you wondering, Ohio boarders five states. The Midwest is a fascinating place.) So...I am an East Coast girl through and through. I'm used to Newark/New York (EWR), so of course I will be comparing them. (But if you're an East Coaster like me, you'll get a good feel for this place after this review.) Obviously, they are two very different airports. EWR is a massive international hub, while CVG is definitely more regional. Sure, it has international flights, but the amenities speak more regional. It's got about 80 or so gates spread out between two concourses - meanwhile. EWR's Terminal C has 80 gates alone. So yes, compared to where I am from, CVG is a cute little (but not TOO little) airport that's got some nice character. Everything is clean, and the people are friendly. TSA had short, calm lines and polite security. (Meanwhile, in EWR, you get screamed at for not taking your shoes off fast enough. IYKYK.) This airport is LONG. It's a long walk to and from security to the concourses, it's a long walk to the baggage claim, it is a long walk from concourse to concourse. Yes, they have trams and moving walkways to help, but even with that assistance, it is LONG. I nearly got all my steps walking back and forth between concourses a few times. Even the concourses themselves are long - if you wanted to take a stroll all the way down the concourse to see food options, you will be walking. But I think that is important - you CAN walk from concourse A to concourse B, it's just a few minutes. Keep that in mind if you have a connecting flight. I got to experience both concourses because my cousin flew out of B and I flew out of A. They have distinct differences. Concourse A is narrower, and has more sit-down restaurants from breweries to Mexican and bourbon bars, with less fast options - although they did have Blaze Pizza and Smashburger, but I wasn't feeling any of those options. Some of these options are right up the escalator - for the majority of the food options, you will have to walk the length of the concourse to get to them, which can potentially be a long walk from your gate. Concourse B is wider and has more fast-food options, like Chik-fil-A, Earl of Sandwich, and soon-to-be Skyline Chili and Wendy's. (Both terminals have Starbucks.) These options are all within the center of the hub, with a few more branching out on either side of Concourse B. I would like to see some healthier options for the future -like a Jamba Juice or a froyo place, as everything seems meat-and-carb heavy or deep fried (but we are, after all, in the Midwest.) You can hop back and forth between the terminals if you want, however, just keep in mind you would be walking - don't miss your flight! And! Terminal A (at least, I am not sure for B) has a robot that you can order food and get it delivered to your gate. Is that crazy or what? I was dropped off and picked up both times, so I can't speak to parking - however, the drop off and pick up was easy peasy. Baggage claim was easy enough too - all my bags got to one place very quickly after my flight landed. Overall, a pleasant experience at CVG. While it's not the largest airport, it gets the job done.

Yelp
It's not my favorite airport in the U.S., but it's definitely not the worst. Honestly, I would even have given it four stars, if not for a Thanksgiving travel horror story. But I'll get to that in a moment. CVG is clean, easy to access, and not typically busy. The way the airport is laid out is kind of a pain, but putting in the trains and moving walkways should mitigate that ... emphasis on "should." Most of the time, one train is shut down, and at least one side of the moving walkways are under construction. So you're stuck walking from one end of the airport to the other. I think CVG likes to pretend it's still a big, bustling airport, but since it's not a Delta hub anymore, it's tough to get a good direct flight out. More often than not, you'll have to connect through Chicago, Denver, or Charlotte. That's no problem when you have plenty of time to spare ... but more and more, my fiancé and I find ourselves looking at driving to bigger airports nearby (CMH, IND, etc.) if we know there's going to be a substantial amount of layover time. OK, here's what you've all been waiting for: my Thanksgiving travel nightmare. My fiancé and I had flights out of CVG at 6 p.m. the Wednesday before Turkey Day. I left work a little bit early so we could make it to the airport with plenty of time ... only to get a text as I was driving home to pick him up that our flight was delayed until 8 p.m. OK great, no problem, we don't have to rush as much. Shortly after that, I got ANOTHER text saying that our flight was delayed until 11:30 p.m. That's QUITE a jump ... and I realize none of the delays have anything to do with CVG ... that's all the airline. Sooo, we decided to make the most of our situation. We went out for a nice sushi dinner, and didn't even bother getting to the airport until 10 p.m., since we know it won't be too busy at that time of night anyways. Well, we get there, and to our surprise, there's absolutely no one there. Security is closed, the ticketing agents are all gone ... the only person we could find to talk to us was a custodian, who rudely informed us that TSA closes at 9 p.m. Our flight didn't take off for at least another hour ... and we literally had no way to even get to the gate. I called the airline immediately, and the customer service agent said he'd never once heard of something like this happening. We got re-booked for early the next day (Thanksgiving) ... not to mention, we'd Uber-ed to the airport, so then we had to Uber right back home ... and then do it all again the next morning. We'll never make the mistake again of thinking that security will be open when our flight still has yet to even board. Although I will say ... even if we had arrived the advised "two hours" before our flight took off, TSA still would have been closed. All that said, I won't count CVG out when booking travel plans ... but I do take the times that a flight leaves into serious consideration before booking out of this particular airport.

Yelp
I moved back to Cincinnati from Columbus several years ago, so now my air travel is out of CVG. I have to say that the CVG Starbucks is the worst Starbucks I have ever encountered. Slooooow, so so sloooooow - and somtimes rude to customers. At first I thought this was due to the labor crunch left over from Covid - but how do you explain what has been the same set of issues for years? Poor management standards? Poor training? Please please fix this staffing issue!

Yelp
Airport. It's an Airport. TSA is there. So are airplanes. Not sure what a Yelp review will do to sway your choice of Cincinnati area airports, but CVG is one of them unless you want to drive an hour to DAY, 90 min to LEX or LOU. 2 hrs to Columbus is not worth it, unless of course you live in Columbus and it's closer then than CVG would be... your call. It's a "good" airport as the planes come and go from here darn near close to their schedule. They have food and tables too while you wait. (Picture below)
