Cinco De Mayo

The food was really good, and the service was amazing. Only downside is the parking lot, and the place kinda hidden. Service always great and the margaritas are delicious.

This was the absolute worse Mexican/American food I've ever had, and it's my favorite type of food. I have no idea how this place has 4.6 stars. I asked for cheese enchiladas topped with queso instead of enchilada sauce and they filled the enchilada with queso.. obviously it ran out so I had an empty soggy tortilla with queso only. We did get queso as well and it was near flavorless. I think they only use white American cheese. My daughter took two bites of her food, my husband ate one of his three flavorless tacos, and I had 2 bites before leaving our leftovers behind. I let the manager know that it was terrible and he just said "okay". No explanation why they don't use cheese instead of sauce inside a cheese enchilada. The chips and salsa were good, but not enough to improve our overall experience. We will not return and I would recommend against this place to anyone who asks.

Excellent meal! I ordered the Tacos de Birria (Quesabirria Tacos) and it came with beans, rice, three tacos, consommé, and a lime salsa. It was delicious! The tables were rustic and the grounds were clean. With a glass of water, my bill was $16.99. Definitely worth the trip.

The food was amazing! I needed a taco and I needed it bad and this place did what it needed to do. I wish I could give 5 stars but my server was terrible. She laughed, she smiled, then she straight up disappeared. Not to be see again until the end when I got my check and paid with every other member of the staff, all sweet as pie. Super weird tho. She even laughed about how bad her service was… idk. Food amazing. Joy? Needs a different job maybe but as someone who LOVES to tip good service your loss girl. Enjoy that $2.67.

Recommended by one my co-workers, the food is excellent. I ordered carnita tacos plate. The meal came with rice, beans, chips and salsa. The green sauce that came with was really tasty. I will definitely be making a return visit in the future. Excellent food

Delicious food! You can tell they use quality ingredients. The service is very fast, and the staff is helpful. Cinco de Mayo is clean and festive. The queso is a nice blanco cheese, and the beans are fantastic. There is plenty of room and patio seating. Enjoy!

My husband and I ate here on a weekend lunch date. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were out of Oolives for our bloody Mary's but they were still good. My favorite part was the outside patio. It's really made the experience lovely.

My husband and I came here on Saturday. Staff was very timely and friendly but the food was not impressive. My husband got what was the equivalent of a burrito bowl and he said that the ground beef tasted "off". I had the spinach and mushroom chicken quesadilla with a side of beans and rice. Rice was pretty basic, beans tasted like they had come out of a can (metallic flavor) and my quesadilla was super salty because they added too much to the spinach. The salsa was good though buy not good enough overall for another visit.

Honestly, I was completely unimpressed with this place. I ordered a margarita with orange juice and it tasted only like orange juice. I had to send it back and I try not to do that but I couldn't drink it. The queso taco was not good. I ate one and left the other two. There wasn't much cheese. The picture looked good but execution was bad. The rice and beans were good. Service was just okay. The lady tried to seat me in an area by myself. No ma'am. My server was slow. I had to have another person bring me a drink. My server didn't tell me I had to pay at the front. I was sitting there waiting for him to pick up my card and he never returned. Another server had to tell me. I wasn't happy Ambiance is cool.

I was in town for work and Cinco De Mayo was across the street from my hotel. It was already pretty late and there weren't a lot of restaurant options nearby. So we might not have stopped in here normally but I'm glad we did. My coworker and I arrived about half an hour before closing time on a Sunday night but the staff was friendly and accommodating. We got our chips and salsa and ordered food. I had the camarones a la diabla. This is a dish I order fairly often and it was spicier than normal, which is not a complaint. The sauce was flavorful and the rice and beans and tortillas tempered the heat. I had a bite of my dining companion's salmon and it was well cooked. We were reasonably hungry after traveling all day but the plates were HUGE and neither of us were able to totally finish. What I especially appreciated was that the people were nice and not hustling to push us out the door. Would return if in Jefferson City again.

The food was amazing. I had a fresh margarita with patrón. It was excellent. I also really enjoyed the light, crisp chips and slightly spicy salsa. The lime tilapia was delicious--I loved it. My friend ordered a bowl of fish soup thinking it would be a light dinner. It was HUGE and piping hot. The server didn't really understand English too well so my friend had to figure out what red wines they had by the menu. We got our checks and sat at the table for a long time, not realizing that you pay at the register on the way out.

If you're looking for a place where you can indulge in some seriously good food and secretly celebrate the Karen in all of us, Cinco De Mayo is the spot. We went for the chicken chimichangas, and let me just say, they were chef's kiss delicious - crispy, juicy, and smothered in all the right toppings. But the real star? The Karen Platter! A bold, audacious move by the restaurant that had us laughing and, yes, lowkey honoring all the "Can I speak to the manager?" energy out there. Bravo, Cinco De Mayo, bravo. If you're looking for fantastic Mexican food with a side of sass, this place is your new go-to!

Another great time last night. Once again the food, drinks and service were excellent. They all treat you like family. Salvador did a great job of taking care of us.

First thing you notice is the atmosphere, it's great! Now the food is the best I have found in the Capital City. The waitstaff is very professional and knowledgeable. The drinks were refilled with out asking and the chips were as well, very attentive waitstaff. Overall a very good experience.

First impression is very good. Margaritas are fantastic and the free chips and salsa are outstanding. The salsa has a little kick to it which you don't find at a lot of Mexican restaurants locally. Awaiting our meals but have no doubt they too will be beautiful as you can see here.

A hidden gem! Couldn't believe we could find good Mex in Jeff city. Being from CA, always in search of good food, this one hit the mark. The Margie's and fajita salad were very tasty. Went back again for the steak nachos!!

This place is new in Jefferson City. The service was great. Everyone was very kind and attentive. The food was ok. I ordered the Tijuana style tacos. The meat itself didn't have much flavor and the dipping broth was really oily. The plate my rice came on was extremely hot to the touch, but the rice itself was luke warm at best. Not a bad place, just not my favorite.

Jeff City's newest Mexican restaurant is located in the old Arris's Bistro location. It's nice and large and didn't take long to start filling up for lunch. It's clean and casual and the service was prompt and very friendly! The salsa was fresh and delicious, as were the queso dip and the guacamole. My friend had the birria tacos and said they were delicious. I ordered 3 street tacos - carnitas, asada, and al pastor. Carnitas are usually my favorite but theirs was more of a shredded roast than the chunky, crispy carnitas I prefer and there wasn't a ton of flavor. But the asada and al pastor were both very good. Their green salsa is also amazing. I'd put that on just about anything. The prices are a little higher than some of the other places in town and I didn't see a ton of lunch specials but the food was good and service on point. Will definitely be returning to try some other dishes!

The food was really good and it came out fairly quick. Descent price as well. Service was great and made sure they were checking on us like normal and friendly. I liked the atmosphere being there for the first time it fell nice and cozy and pretty good distance between tables and it felt intimate. I would definitely go back and would recommend.

The amount of choices is astounding. My wife and I both had the El Bandido. Steak, chicken, shrimp, and BACON, served on a bed of rice with a creamy cheese sauce on top. OMG! The portions are sizable; I ate all of mine, she took some home. Service was fantastic and the food arrived very quickly. We had not devoured all of the chips and salsa. Usually we start on a second basket of chips before the food arrives. Spacious seating and lots of it. Not your typical Mexican restaurant decor, but nice. We can't imagine a better experience.

The food was amazing and the service was to die for. They have plenty of room for parties and lots of tables. The shrimp tacos were my favorite with a nice hot jalapeño sauce and again the service was great!

I'm enjoyed this place. I have been a couple of times now and the ok nky drawback is not having kint for the mojito--but that allows for trying other drinks. I have had the carnitas which are very good. My wife has had the pastor tacos--also very good. The staff are.friendly and helpful.

The food and margaritas were delicious! The queso and salsa were very good. The salsa tasted fresh and had a strong cilantro flavor, which we loved! We got the tacos de birria and the pollo con chori and everything was 10/10! I asked for a side of jalapeños and they came grilled which is exactly how I like them! So glad we tried this place and you will be too!

Food is excellent and staff always attentive. Had the fajitas and the meal was more than I could eat, so I brought it home. Great frozen margaritas! Changed their salsa recently and they really need to go back to the original salsa.

The servers were the best part of the experience, friendly and attentive. Would they only have a chef with similar expertise and talent. The food was very mediocre and bland. We had chicken soup, chimichanga and Chile relenno. Can't recommend any of them. Refried beans were thin and watery. Chips an salsa ok. Perhaps for a better experience you should load up on on the margaritas, first.
