Cinco Rodavento (Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Valle de Bravo, the charming lakeside town two hours’ drive to the southwest of Mexico City, has its fair share of devotees, attracted by the colonial atmosphere, the lush valley, and the waters of Lake Avándaro. This is a town with no fewer than three very fine boutique hotels, all of them doing business under the Rodavento name. This one, Cinco Rodavento, is the largest of the three, and the one that most resembles a proper urban boutique hotel — though in Valle de Bravo, “urban” is a concept with fluid boundaries." - Tablet Hotels

Impossible to relax in one’s home with this house music playing at full blast. I thought a boutique hotel was someplace to relax but with their illegal roof top music blaring, don’t think even the guests relax. No need to go and check out the place.

Not a 5 star property. Since I made my reservation I was charged 50% for my stay in advance and upon checking in the rest which is not customary as I usually pay the bill at checkout. ||While the room was big, the decoration is tasteless and the TV has no signal. There is no minibar as well and the Nespresso machine is only provided with 3 fake capsules per day. Moises could be heard from above in the morning. ||Breakfast was also bad. A carrot juice diluted with water and the second day a dirty carrot juice. And every meal had to be paid as signing the check did not seem an option. ||The pool is the size of a jacuzzi and when we wanted to use it, it was cold which is unacceptable. 3 hours notice was required to heat it. ||The service was ok as is in all Mexico. The hotel should be downgraded and priced accordingly.

This review is for the restaurant. We found it while on a walk. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The service is very good. The staff was attentive and cordial to all needs. The menu was varied and we were able to modify a dish to out daughters liking. The food was very good, I had the salmon, husband the caldo tlalpeño and daughter the fettuccine Alfredo. They were all delicious. I also tried the mixed drinks, the sirena. It was delicious. Highly recommend.

Researching CR I’m glad I selected this hotel. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, ab laundromat, and a Oxxo to a name a few. ||Exiting our taxis we were greeted by Gaspar who welcomed us and took our luggage. Guadalupe (FD) welcomed us with a huge smile and stated our rooms were ready (11:30 AM). King Studio is very spacious (500 sq. ft.), soft towels, comfy bed, and great bath products. Yeh service we received was that of a 5 star resort thanks to employees (Alejandro & Ulises the best bartenders in town, Zeferino & Ricardo solid servers, Araceli the most upbeat and sweet Housekeeper, and Danny Soto Supervisor. It’s shows Danny and his team are on the same page and same level of providing solid hospitality. A standing “O” to mentioned above. ||Would definitely stay at CR again when I’m Valle.

Cinco is part of Rodavento great offering in the area. They know what they are doing and offer a great overall service, quality rooms and vibrant atmosphere. Cinco in particular is their modern, quirky and pet friendly property in town. Expect a welcoming staff (in general, reception do need some work…), luxury rooms and great food & drinks. The master suite is very good, just be mindful it can get noisy because Rüf (rooftop bar) is just above it! I would highly recommend having the gourmet experience here (NOT in Nuestro… see my review). The head chef was very friendly and the waiter was great too! They get you a well placed secluded table, warmly candle lit experience and amazing quality overall.

The restaurant hosted a welcome dinner for us and the food and service was impeccable!!!!! Desserts and delicious appetizers! It was a taste of Mexico like nothing I could've asked for. The hosts really showed us the best time. We were blown away by the experience. I will absolutely be coming returning soon! I can't wait to come back!! The rooftop was so romantic, the view, the sunset, the service it was magical!

This is for the restaurant. The place is really pretty and they were very nice and accommodating. We asked whether or not they could serve us breakfast items at 2 pm and they did it for us. We called in advance and when we got there, the food was already waiting for us. The servers weren't that nice or friendly, though. The place is like a terrace overlooking a garden. Very nice and peaceful. The French toast is spectacular. They also have a really nice rooftop terrace.

Great hotel very well located in Valle de Bravo. I didn't expect how nice it was. First, the rooms are stunning. Spacious, tasteful, comfortable and very clean, with a special mention to the bathroom (amazing shower). The breakfast at the restaurant is very good, with choices of juices, hot and cold dishes (loved their french toast). Last but certainly not least, the rooftop is fantastic, with great views over the lake, ideal for a mid-morning coffee or a pre-dinner drink. I can't wait to return.
