What a lovely experience, it was so nice to have experienced a film here it was such the ideal spot for movie lovers. They had popcorn nachos and so much other options. The theatre itself was sooooo nice, but the couches were a bit uncomfortable, the screen and sound system were great tho. Overall great experience.

We stopped by Cinema Akil just for a coffee. Mine came out cold at first, but the lady was really sweet and made me a fresh one. We also had a look at the movie theater, it was nice but had a bit of an off smell.

Amazing unique cinema for who wants different experience, especially film gurus Go there if you wanna travel in time. Good service, good food and drinks .. etc No complicated procedures and everything seems like you are visiting a friend’s home The only cons that we faced are : 1- The area is bad specially for parkings the district security didn’t allow us to park inside the district so we had to park too far outside in the main street and walk to it. 2- I don’t recommended to watch black and white or very old movies because the audio system is calibrated for modern movies with clean audio .. our experience with audio was loud , distorted & bass is exaggerated ( 12 angry men ) Definitely will come back.

My fav movie theater for the quality of the movies proposed compared to the commercials one you can find in the city. The deco is also very beautiful. Feels like a jump back in the time (in the past century). It’s a must do if you pass by Alserkal Avenue.

I visited this place forna coffee, I've never heard of this place until a friend of mine informed me that I should give it a try. It is a new idea as a cinema cafe, I didn't try the cinema, but I tried the coffee shop outside. If you decide to visit this place, you will like it for the below reasons: 1- The atmosphere is nice where they have photos of old singers and old photos. 2- The employees are nice and provide good service. 3- They have a small, calm outdoor seating, which you will love when the weather gets better. 4- The area is nice where it's full of restaurant and coffee shops. 5- The Karak and the coffee are good, but not the best. I can give it a 6/10. I will visit the place again to try the cinema experience.

The atmosphere here is lovely. And people working here are also very friendly and helpful. But something is not right with the sound settings in the cinema hall: volume is low, and voices of actors can be barely heard. Also nobody can seat on the most comfortable front rows and watch movie because they are too close to the big screen. I believe these flaws can be fixed, and this place will become a real gem!

I visited Cinema Akil for the first time. Since it was my first time, I asked at the reception if there was parking for the cinema because I honestly didn’t know. There were two guys at the reception one of them with glasses, was super kind and helpful, but the other (short, skinny with short black hair) spoke to me in such a rude and dismissive way. He told me in a very unpleasant tone, without even looking at me, “there’s no parking here, you’ll have to pay for RTA parking.” It felt really disrespectful and unnecessary, especially as a first time visitor just asking a simple question. That said, everything else about the experience was excellent. The cinema itself is amazing, we loved the atmosphere, the food was great, and the movie was fantastic. Overall, it was a memorable evening, I just wish the reception experience had matched the rest of it.

This place is such a vibe! If you haven't been and you like retro artsy places this one os for you. Project Chaiwala has great drinks and bites and is even better now with their collaboration with Lipton. You can try some unique tea blends that you won't be able to get anywhere else!
