This is a clean friendly location to see a nice movie in San Francisco. During the afternoon the movie cost is discounted to a very fare price. There are power recliners with comfortable cushion inside the movie theater, including incredible surround sound creating an awesome environment.

I came here to see Elio at 6:40 pm and after I saw the movie the water was so hot in the bathrooms that it almost burned my hand! Ouch! The faucets were also hissing and the water was steaming hot! Please get the water heater checked! 😡 Today November 28 2025 one hour before the movie the water was hot again and I got burned on my left hand knuckles and the bathrooms and I had to put on my hand on my cup to cool the burn! Ouch 🤕

Google
This is a review specifically of the IMAX theater room (room 10, I believe they only have one IMAX screen at this location). It was TERRIBLE. The seats are worst then airplane seats. Absolutely no let room. The seats DO NOT recline!! Which is different than the other theater rooms that we usually frequent, which have seats that do recline. There is no space for people to walk in front on you to get to their own seats. People literally have to stand up and exit the row itself to let others through. You cannot get through without bumping into the seat in front and behind you. The other theater rooms at this cinemas are much better, even though they lack the IMAX sound system and screen. The chairs recline and there’s plenty of space. I will NEVER go to watch IMAX here again. Do not recommend IMAX at this location.

Google
It's an iconic multiplex for our area. Good food options nearby. Not the biggest theater out there, but a good sized one with IMAX and good parking all around.

Google
Great place for matinees. Not crowded or expensive. Good snacks & free parking! Safe setting! Nice staff. 2023: Excellent remodeling. Theater 8 has nice reclining stadium seats. 💺 🏟 I like half price Tuesdays. Their 🍕 tastes good.

Google
Free parking in the parking lot next to it. IMAX theatre was amazing, the screen was so big and the surround sound is next level. The seats aren’t as comfortable, it’s hard to get in and out once people are seated but the quality of the images makes up for it. I would come here again for the Tuesday special ticket deal.

Google
Watched Tron: Ares. Great Big ol' theater! I always find the prevalence of Cinemark Movie Theaters across the state I've visited to be comforting. You can find a familiar feel and the same movie magic wherever you go.

Google
My mom had a blast at this theater. She loved how the popcorn was recently popped and warm. She loved the ice cold soda she drank. The staff was very courteous and made us both feel extremely welcome.

Yelp
I love that all the seats here at this theater are the luxury recliners. It makes for a super comfortable theater experience. There is also plenty of space between each of the row so that if someone needs to get by, there's no awkward scooting or tucking in of the legs that needs to happen. The facilities are always well maintained and clean. They have 3 levels and you can purchase concessions at the main concession stand on level 2 or sometimes the stand on level 3 is also open and there's no line. We got a large popcorn and a large drink for our family to share which was about ~$20. You can get free water cups to fill up at the fountain versus purchasing bottled water which only racks up your bill. The popcorn with butter was yummy - a savory treat to enjoy as you're watching the trailers waiting for your movie to begin.

Yelp
We drive all the way from San Francisco to come to this theater, and it's always worth the trip. Cinemark Daly City is well kept, super clean, and offers tons of snack options--everything from your classic popcorn to some surprisingly great hot food options. But what really sets this place apart is the customer service, and I have to give a massive shoutout to Brian, the manager. He was an absolute life saver. My daughter and husband got stuck in parade traffic despite leaving over an hour early for their movie. We were stressed and thinking they'd just miss the film entirely, but I called the theater and Brian immediately helped us figure out a quick and painless solution. No grief, no hassle--he got us into another showtime the next day, and made sure we were taken care of. The way he handled everything with kindness and efficiency just sealed the deal for us. Thanks to Brian, we're forever loyal customers. Customer service like that is rare these days, and this theater clearly gets it right. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My mom and I visited Century 20 to watch the remake of Running Man in IMAX, and it was worth the price due to the huge screen and superb film quality. As a Cinemark member, we often visit this location and the Century in San Mateo. The facility was clean, and the snacks we purchased were fresh and tasty. I recommend trying to go during matinee showtimes for the best experience.

Yelp
I like this movie theater because: 1. Friendly and nice staff 2- Clean and cozy theater 3- Super convenient with a free parking lot 4- Many theaters with many available movie options 5- Remodeled with super comfortable and reclined chairs Highly recommended!

Yelp
That I love to experience Cinemark XD with moving seats and alot of experience i can't tell how much I love to experience this!!

Yelp
I been going to this movie theater for the past 20 years until now recently watch Leo and stitch. Yesterday Drop my ticket between the seats trying to find it to look under the seats. Very disgusting health hazards that needs to be reviewed by the health city and inspectors in all rooms all the rooms may not be clean and maybe be at risk staff members LAZY don't clean the seats very sticky and very dirty from the under the seats. This is unnecessary laziness from the staff. Something needs to be done ASAP until this be fixed. I'm taking my business somewhere else. No one needs to deserve this type of experience And some my friends have experience also told me the same thing. All the seats in the auditorium are filthy. Didn't believe until I saw yesterday.‍

Yelp
Been coming here since I was a youngster. Love this location. But can I get one ticket refunded since my brother fell asleep during The Monkey, lol!

Yelp
Very comfortable lounge chairs inside most of the theaters except the IMAX Theater. Good customer services and staffs were friendly. Free garage parking.

Yelp
We never buy anything to eat at movie theaters. Such a rip off. But if you're into throwing away $50-60 on your in - theater movie experience, they actually have call ahead, pick up, pre pay, so no line wait. We book reserve tix through Fandango. Occasionally there's some knothead already in your reserved seat. Generally just takes a few moments to sort out. Great comfy seats, most recline electronically, also some have speakers and tactile / vibration built in, for the extra experience. ALWAYS 12-16 irritating trailers to upcoming features you probably don't want to see. Jesus Ch***. I'd pay extra just to skip the trailers. Unfortunately, not a ticketed option. Generally clean, still pretty modern and in good shape. A satisfying movie experience.

Yelp
Nice clean theater. Nice comfortable chairs. Nice Soda and popcorn. Great Sound. Nice even temperature. Lots of parking.

Yelp
I've never had a bad experience at this movie theater, and it was the perfect setting to relax and enjoy watching A Quiet Place: Day One this past Sunday. Comfy recliner seats that fully lean back with leg rests that extend all the way out, perfect view of the screen, great picture quality and sound, clean theater, lots of snacks at the concessions stand offering a wide range of beverages and desserts, including beer, wine, frozen cocktails, hot chocolate, starbucks coffee beverages, ice cream, and fancy milkshakes. We simply opted for some buttered popcorn, and it was all we needed to top off a great experience at this theater over the weekend. Interaction with staff was minimal as we purchased our tickets online, but everyone who helped us provided efficient service, hardly any waiting for anything. Parking garage is only steps away as well.

Yelp
Watched inside out 2 here and the d-box seats were super fun and comfortable. I watched another movie here, I think Barbie and wasn't a big fan of the other seats but these changed my mind Service: didn't really interact much with the people working here but front entrance was pretty straight forward D-box seats: we did not know what to expect and thought the movement would be distracting but it was actually a great complement to the movie and did not get motion sick. Also prob one of the most comfortable reclining seats in a theater and u get ur own space (the seats aren't touching)
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
This is always my go to spot for movies because most of the theaters have reclining seats which I love. They get three stars because there is always something wrong with the concessions I receive. Whether I order online or order onsite there always seems to be an issue. The folks that work here do their best but it could be better. Still it's good enough to visit. I usually go around twice per month and utilize the movie club membership.

Yelp
Great comfy seats Good service Good food Good sound Good level of busyness Clean enough I hope they never go out of business. More ppl need to come to this theatre

Yelp
This theater is my go-to spot because it's close to my house and has a convenient free parking garage next door. The theater is always clean and usually not crowded, which gives me peace of mind regarding Covid. The seats are comfortable, and it's typically quiet with minimal chatter from other patrons. Although the theater shows a lot of commercials and previews before the main movie, and the snacks are pricey, these are just part of the theater experience. Navigating the theater can be a bit tricky due to the dim lighting, and the elevators are slow, but these are minor inconveniences. I visit this theater several times a year and always have a good experience. I recently saw Furiosa on the Tuesday after Memorial Day and got a great deal--only $41 for three people. The theater wasn't crowded, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I'm grateful to have this theater nearby. It's incredibly convenient, and the added bonus of not worrying about car break-ins, which are common in San Francisco, makes it even better. Driving to Daly City helps us avoid that headache entirely.

Yelp
Recently watched Wicked here in their IMAX theater and had an enjoyable experience. Garage parking is plentiful and available within a short 2-3 minute walk to the theater entrance. Seats are very comfortable (IMAX theater doesn't have recliners though but they are cushioned/slightly bigger seats). Appreciated that they had added very early morning shows since the movie just came out!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Is this a movie theater or school? Rude staff. Gross bathrooms and dirty seats. Screen quality not the best but I guess it's still better than my phone.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
This is a nice, big theater! The bathrooms are pretty clean and I've never seen the theater dirty. I went to go see "Lilo and Stitch" on opening day in hopes of getting some merchandise, but I was told they had sold out of it 2 days prior? I don't think it makes sense that they sell the movie merchandise before the movie even comes out. I was able to order what I wanted online so I guess it made up for it. But other than that, I've never had a bad experience here.

Yelp
I came over from San Francisco to see the movie Sinners very comfortable seats they upgraded since I've been here the seating was very comfortable thanks for a good show
google avatar

Yelp
Nice theater, several screens, huge snack bar area. Free Parking is in the large lot closer to John Daly Street. Still pretty empty, but attendance is picking up. Senior discount on Monday! Thanks for that! Big plaza outside to meet friends. They play first run movies and have those luxury lounge chairs- so nice - feet up if you want.
google avatar

Yelp
I've now been to this theater three times since coming to SF--although the drive out to Daly City is somewhat further than the local theaters within SF city limits, this theater makes it worth it with recliner seats in almost all theaters and a broad showing. Pro tip: try to come by for discounted tickets on tuesdays, where it's about $7/ticket!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I had an enjoyable time. I watched Lawrence of Arabia, one of my all time favorite movies. As a kid we used to watch this movie with my mother, so when I saw it was going to be on the big screen I had to attend. The theater had leather recliner seats and they were comfy, I almost fell asleep a couple times. I ordered popcorn and coffee and they were to my liking. The bathroom, walkways and theater were clean and staff was very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Lorelei R.

Yelp
We usually reserve our seats when we watch movies there. Yummy food. My husband usually get the big bucket of popcorn for me and i usually finish it. Love their popcorn with extra butter. Staff are friendly. Pretty clean establishment. Comfortable reclining seats.
google avatar

Caitlin J.

Yelp
This theater was very clean and had convenient free parking downstairs. The seats are all leather and reclining. We didn't get any of the snacks so can't speak on them, but I wish the staff were friendlier and more willing to help. They had a person downstairs to scan tickets and they were very unenthusiastic to tell us where our showing is located. I hope they can add another person upstairs to also be a guide.
google avatar

Yelp
I came here during the week and it's a very nice theatre in the second floor. They have a bar/coffee bar! We got the lounge recliner seats! It was comfy and not as packed!
google avatar

Greg T.

Yelp
WOW! An absolutely gorgeous movie theater venue! I was amazed to see an actual bar in the snack area. The motorized reclining seats are so comfortable, I want to find out if they make those for home use! I ordered my ticket via Fandango, and was very impressed to be able to reserve the exact seat I wanted ahead of time rather than having to get to the theater early to get a good seat. The video and sound quality are astounding here. I guess they'd have to be with the level of home audio people have these days. I'm seeing "Godzilla Minus Zero" here tomorrow, so I'm definitely going to bring earplugs as I suspect I'll be subjected to earth-shattering noise levels as Godzilla stomps across Japan. This is definitely my local go-to movie theater from here on out!
google avatar

Eunice C.

Yelp
Go for the reclining seats! I like the reclining seats here better. The seat has full back support, very comfy and spacious. If only it had a tray table to put my snacks and stuff on, it would've been perfect - the chair at least. With all that said, the theater is showing age. Same old carpets, concessions and restrooms. Not a lot of food choices. There's Tomo Sushi and Teriyaki, Cold Stone Creamery, and Westlake Coffee right before the box office ticketing counter. My movie partner opted to order ahead at Gilman Brewery (next door building) and got a box of Joyride pizza. Yes, outside food is permitted. I couldn't find info anywhere on the website by the way and just decided to risk it. Parking is still free. There are 2 parking structures so you'll surely find a spot.

Yelp
During the pandemic this theater did something smart, they upgraded to their seats to recliners. They also upgraded the audio, indoor lights, it's a huge win in my book. It is a bit of a drive from where I live, but so worth it. Bonus are the two free parking garages. This location serves the best tasting popcorn. Their bathrooms are clean and operational. Staff have always been super nice. I don't have anything negative to say about this theater. See you soon Daly City Century theaters.
google avatar

Yelp
I like the small movie theaters in the city occasionally but I prefer the larger complex like this one which was convenient parking as well. They have 3 floors and the staff is pleasant and professional. The theaters are clean and the seats are comfy. Now choose a good movie and enjoy!
google avatar

Morgan V.

Yelp
I have been to this theater a few times and always have a great time! It's clean and there a bunch of snack options! The staff is friendly and the theaters are sooooo nice. I also like that there is free parking nearby! My go to movie spot
google avatar

Yelp
Inside out 2 movie was kinda of short movie but the food there is too expensive. No pizzia or ice cream(s) also.

Yelp
March 2023 There was this super popular Hong Kong Cantonese movie that I wanted to watch and I was so surprised they were showing it in theatre here. There were not many theatres were showing it but this Century in Daly City did which was not too far from me. The theater is quiet big with many movies showing, the recliner seats are comfortable, the space is clean, plenty of parking and the lot is just next to the theater and it is totally free. No complaints.

Yelp
We went here yesterday to see the movie Luca which is one of my son's favorite movies. I knew going into it that this would be a challenge. He's a toddler and he's autistic and often struggles with sitting still amongst other sensory issues. But I thought maybe because he loves this movie and he loves popcorn that this could be an opportunity to expose him to something new. Public outings are almost always extremely challenging and people can be so unkind that it makes it that much harder. We got there and he sat for maybe 5 minutes. Then he wanted to walk around so his dad went to walk around with him. I told him I would text him when the movie started. About 25 minutes later they came back in (previews) and as soon as was inside the theatre I could hear him screaming and crying. We waited a minute hopeful that seeing the movie would help to calm him but with no luck. We decided to leave. I felt my heart sink. This may sound silly to some people, but even doing simple things like this is so difficult. As we were leaving I didn't think we'd get a refund but I thought maybe it wouldn't hurt to ask for at least a credit. When I spoke to the manager, Nate, he was so incredibly kind. I explained to him what happened and he didn't even hesitate. I became a little emotional because I was already bummed out at this failed attempt but I also wasn't expecting someone to be so kind and understanding. He went above and beyond. He went out of his way for us and he even walked me to the front where my son and his father were waiting for us. Thank you so much Nate. Ever since my son's diagnosis it's been really hard to leave the house and take him places. I want to expose him to new things but it's so challenging. I know he won't learn to get through situations if he's never exposed to them so I have to get over my own fears and anxiety and try no matter how difficult it is. Thank you for being so understanding. I was so emotional when we had to leave but your kindness restored my faith in humanity and I left there with my heart feeling a little bit lighter because of you. I may not have had the experience I wanted with my son but the experience I had with you is one I will always remember.

Yelp
Came here with my family last night. The escalators still closed, probably not many people watching movies. That's why. They don't check our vaccine card when we get in. I guess it's not "required" now??? The staff was nice, the seating was comfortable.
google avatar

Polina L.

Yelp
The BEST popcorn here. It reminded me of the movie theater in San Mateo with those leather comfortable seats, but with one difference - the size of the place is bigger. For a room like this, it's pretty clean, which I think is worth noting. It's good to go with a group of people because you can hang out there and feel free from any disturbing.
google avatar

Dharma M.

Yelp
Nice XD cinema. Love the massage chair experience. I think it is too intense if we set to max. Love the big screen. It is pretty clean.
google avatar

Yelp
The movie we saw was avatar and if i were basing the review off just that movie it would be 5 star lol. the theatre was great, good location, we had no trouble with parking, and since we picked our seats ahead of time we got in very quickly with Mobile scan QR codes. we got popcorn on the mobile app to save time, def recommend. drinks were priced great! the one thing a theatre like this needs is lazy boy chairs in the big theatres!! go seee a movie its a fun date night and cool theatre!

Yelp
5/5 Support your local theater Since Netflix and streaming at home it's been about 2 years since I went to watch a movie brick and mortor. Walking inside The escalator is well lit and the smell of butter and freshly popped popcorn fills the air. This location has renovated recliner seats that make lounging more home style. Super easy to control features on the sides. db surround sounds had the walls shaking Free parking nearby at the garage which makes it even all better

Yelp
I always have a good movie experience here. They always have a good selection of movies to choose from when in Daly City. I finally got to review this place after watching Oppenheimer here. It felt relaxing on their reclining chair for after 3 hours of movie watching.

Yelp
We had coupons for this theatre and used them to get D-Box seats for a movie about a haunted swimming pool. They look like single person couches, and rock around while vibrating during the show. As a man, it was comfortable enough and added to the experience. For my wife, the vibrating was the only thing she was interested in. The movie began with a child getting eaten by an angry pool demon. The vibrating in this opening scene really hooked my wife into the action. The chair continued to please her for the next hour and a half. I hurried her out of the movie immediately once it ended because I saw the fire in her eyes. Our marriage has had hard times recently but that was about to change. Luckily the parking garage here has multiple levels and the elevator was out of order, so you basically have the top story to yourself if you're willing to climb a few flights of stairs. We made a real honeymoon of the night before even turning the car on to head home. We will be enrolling in the Century moviepass subscription and frequenting the theatre.

Yelp
We went to this theater for the first time on the 4th of July to see Asteroid City. The movie was strange as expected, but the theater was great. We pre-ordered out popcorn and beverages with the Cinemark app and they were waiting for us when we arrived. We found the power reclining seats to be very comfortable and they provided great views of the screen. The sound levels were more than adequate, and thankfully not dangerously loud as we've experienced at other theaters. The sound quality and voice intelligibility from the JBL audio system were also excellent. We're so happy to have such a great theater so close to our home - we will be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
Sat at Auditorium 16 this time, enjoy the comfy seats and how close I am to the bathrooms. This is the theater I go to the most even though they're understaffed and cleanings are spaced apart
google avatar

Yelp
Even though I live in SF, I always love coming to this theater to watch movies. I haven't seen an IMAX movie here yet, but for their regular theaters they have reclining seats even in their smaller theaters. Seats are reservation based, so definitely buy your tickets online beforehand to reserve a good spot. Parking is super easy since there's a huge free parking structure right next to it. We have cinemark movie club, which is soooooo worth it - highly recommend it even if you only watch movies occasionally since the discounted tickets roll over and can be used for other friends too (and discounted concessions). The popcorn is always good, and I've never experienced noisy kids disrupting the movies (which are definitely present in other places). No complaints at all about this theater, and I've been here many many times!
google avatar

Mel A.

Yelp
It's such a convenient location to find parking in the nearby garage and watch a movie. Located right off the freeway, it's easy to get to. We went to go see The Batman movie in IMAX. It's been years since I've been to this theater again. The theater had great seating and although the seats didn't recline, the seats seemed new, spacious, comfortable and plush. There was also lots of your regular movie snacks l, foods + beer on tap and bottles of wine you can purchase. Great experience and everyone was super chill. Will be back for a movie night when we want to get out of the crowded theaters in the city
google avatar

Galen T.

Yelp
This place kicked out one of our party for not having a ticket even though they did. They were too embarrassed and shocked to cause a scene and our group did not realize what had happened. They also did not want me to talk to the management after the showing. This was really upsetting for my friend. I tried calling the theater, all it has are phone tree options, so I emailed them and as of this writing have gotten zero response. I will not be going back to this theater and recommend that you avoid it Updated: I called their general customer service number and spoke to Christopher, it sounds like they are genuinely trying to get to the bottom of this and coach the person who ejected my friend. Can't give them 5 star but at least they seem to be taking it seriously.
google avatar

Liz B.

Yelp
Nice clean, free parking, IMAX screen, comfortable lounge chairs, snacks, I have been coming here for years, go check it out.
google avatar

Kathryn Y.

Yelp
The good: This theater is conveniently located next to BART and has free parking nearby. Since there are 20 screens, you can usually find any movie you want playing here. I think that all the rooms have large recliner seating so you'll be very comfy. The bad: We've come here 20+ times over the past 6 years and some aspects of this theater have gone downhill. The bathrooms are almost always a disaster area, and the popcorn is never hot. Sadness in a bucket. I used to be a Cinemark MC member, but I've now switched over to Regal for the reasons above. I hope that if enough people complain about these issues, maybe Century will improve things!

Yelp
You know those zombie movies when the small band of survivors flees to a deserted mall before they decide, "We need to get OUT of here to survive"? This is how I think of Daly City Century 20 Theatre: There's almost no one here. It's eerie. The concession stand, so oddly organized, I don't get it. No one in the lobby -at all. No one in the restroom, either (and happy to report it's very clean). Lots of screens, not such great prices ($10.75 for a kid's matinee ticket?) and friendly staff at the concession stand. Free parking is a plus. It's an oddball place to see a movie but convenient for us.
