There is a new roof terrace that has an amazing view of Kongens Have. You can also watch movies on the roof (Himmelbio) - I'd recommend to dress as warmly as you can, as Denmark is windy (there are blankets available if needed). Also don't book too close to the back row as you might be right next to a speaker and get unbalanced sound - if it's not full you can move seats though. Incidentally my phone died and I couldn't show my digital ticket but the guy on the front desk kindly printed my ticket for me. Wonderful place!

Cozy place for movie film screenings and film events. A plus for the themed months for worldwide cinema abd documentaries, from well known blockbuster movies to lesser known indie films on a shoestring budget. Hidden gem in the city of Copenhagen just across the king’s garden and a skip away from multiple cafés, museums and castles. And the library inside on the first floor is worth a visit!

DFI - The Danish Film Institute's Cinematek shows a wide range of film. Check out the monthly program. Recently they opened a new open air cinema, café, restaurant etc. on the roof top with a beautiful panoramic view. I recomment you check it out - it's awsome 👍

Amazing place for all generations, and especially Børnebiffen short films for the youngest audience is an enjoyable step towards developing passion about quality cinema. The ambience of film-lovers hive mind, beyond nationalities, cultures or age. A cosy cafe with everything you'd need, incl. ginger ale. Can't wait to visit the rooftop terrace to be opened this year

Went in there for browsing their merchandise. Staff didn't even look up from their computer/smartphone when we said hello. even when we left and said goodbye they ignored us. Great customer service. Good thing i didn't spend any money in your store. Too bad since some stuff was pretty cool. Even leaving a fart would be a waste.

I love the theaters and the coffee, and the coolness of people who attend. A memorable moment at the Cinemateket was a morning screening of a French movie from 1938: Quai des Brumes. It was incredibly beautiful. However, I am often disappointed in the programs. I wish the Cinemateket would put more classics. For instance, the programmation of Parisian cinemas like the Christine Cinéma Club, Le Champo, the Reflet Médicis are so cool and Copenhagen could really benefit from a place grasping inspiration from them! I feel like Cinemateket focuses a bit too much on the ideology of movies, on having a politically progressive and correct schedule, when really the beauty of movies is also very important. Lastly, I get really confused by the website. If I remember correctly (the website is down rn so can't check) the titles of all movies are displayed in Danish, even US or Italian ones. I don't like that.
