Cinnamon Bear is so charming! It was cozy, cute, and well kept. It's not far from the main part of town. The staff was friendly, the room was a good size, and the bed was comfy. I appreciated the simple, but delicious and filling breakfast. Would be so delighted to stay here again ☺️

The room was absolutely adorable and cozy. They accommodated us pretty last minute and even allowed us to check in a little early. Staff is incredibly kind, and the location is wonderful in downtown Mammoth.

We had an amazing stay at the Cinnamon Bear Inn—cozy rooms, great location, and genuinely kind staff. It had that rare mix of charm and comfort that made us feel instantly at home. The complimentary breakfast was a perfect start to our days on the mountain, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and relaxed. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Mammoth!

Great salsa, fine quesadillas along with other delectables at breakfast. Hot drinks whenever the office is open. Unlike the Jacuzzi, not so hot when it's open. Thank goodness one could retreat to hot water in the shower to makeup for Jacuzzi chill. Industrial part of town. Even so, the exterior could be appealing with vines, bushes and trees. Add inexpensive level1 electric vehicle charging / Get grants and funding from the state and feds-put in level2 charging to increase revenue and entice me to return.

The room is good—neat, clean, and quite new. Breakfast could have been better. But, there are few important things that need improvement to make the stay more comfortable: 1. No WiFi in the room: We were told the room is too far from the router, so the WiFi doesn’t reach. On top of that, mobile signal in the room was very poor. It became quite difficult to manage, not just for us but especially for our kid. 2. Mini heater placement: The heater is placed near the kitchen corner, so the heat doesn’t really reach the bed area. We couldn’t move it ourselves, so the room felt cold by early morning. Maybe repositioning the heater would help. 3. Curtains issue: The blackout curtains have gaps at the top, so light comes in during the morning. This kind of defeats the purpose of blackout curtains.

I booked a room here, now I'm in Yosemite National Park. The road to the hotel is closed! For technical reasons! I called the hotel and explained the situation that we can't get to you because the road is closed and asked to cancel the reservation. The girl said it's not our problem! How should I understand this? How should I get there? If the road is closed!

The lobby was so comfortable while we waited to check in, the staff were so friendly and answered each question timely, the breakfast was just what we needed to fuel up for a day of fun! Also the beds and pillows were so Comfortable and soft, perfect place to rest after camping!

Loved staying at the cinnamon bear inn, it’s in a perfect location super close to town and super close to the bus stop that will take you to the slopes. The free breakfast was amazing, it’s home made and different every morning! So nice to not have to worry about breakfast before hitting the slopes. Their prices are super affordable as well. And the board/ski storage outside of the room were also great. Only thing to note is if you’re in one of the hotel style rooms downstairs, you can definitely hear people through the walls above and beside and outside you. However they do leave earplugs for you and with those I slept just fine!

Yelp
This place would be a 5-star rating if you couldn't hear every footstep and conversation that happened outside your room. After the first evening, I understood why there were earplugs in the room. They could also do a better job clearing the snow from important walkways. As careful as I was, I fell down the last few stairs, I saw plenty of people slip on the ice sheet of a walkway and two people fall. BUT.... If you put yourself in the mindset that you're going to have some clueless noisy neighbors and be really careful of the ice - this place is good. The Inn provides breakfast, which is a rarity based on my searches. The parking is appropriate- plenty of spots that are accessible even with snow. If you use the transit system (which I have grown to absolutely LOVE in the winter), there are bus stops less than a 5 minute walk away. Yes, it's an old property. The rooms are a bit dated and the decks and stairways show the wear that a real winter has on a place. Every staff member I've come into contact with during my 4-night stay has been great. I would probably stay here again.

Yelp
What a lovely little rustic bed and breakfast! Let's be straight, it's an older building, so if you're looking for something fancy and updated, this isn't for you, but for the money, this was a great place to crash for one night on our roadtrip down from Lake Tahoe and to explore Mammoth and the trails/lakes surrounding. The facility: We booked a King standard room which was in the A frame building in the backside. It had a cabin feel with a nice patio facing towards the forest, so a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee. The walls are definitely thin but we had no issues sleeping as our neighbors were fairly quiet. It was clean. The bed was comfy, and the room had everything we needed. We utilized the hot tub and it was a lovely way to end the day. Breakfast: Lovely hot breakfast, which changes daily. This morning was scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes, Sausage pattie's, and chorizo with potatoes. They had a fresh homemade salsa too that was a must! Cereal, oatmeal, and toast were also available. Again nothing fancy, but it was better than your typical hotel continental breakfast. The staff: We only interacted with 2 people at checkin and checkout but both were friendly and helpful. Checkin and checkout were quick. The location was an easy walk to places to eat, drink, caffeinate, and more. Quick drive to the slopes and the main village and old mammoth.

Edgar R.

Yelp
Guest service was no good, my wife got bad attitude from lady "helping ". The cabins are little, outdated, floors crack and are loud every step you take. They didn't even plow the snow that good, they especially did a poor job cleaning a pathway for us to walk to our cabin. Overall experience sucked.

Yelp
How do you put into words a place where they make you feel like family. Waking up in the morning and being able to walk into the lobby with fresh hot coffee and breakfast is like being at your grandmother's house. We picked this Inn to stay at due to our dog, we wanted a place that would be welcoming for pet owners. This place fit that bill perfectly. There are board/ski storage closets right by your room and the place is just cozy and inviting. It's on Center st and just a tad bit away from the Main St. If you walk directly across the Inn and through the shopping center, bus stop 13 will be across the street going towards the village and Main lodge. You'll be dropped off at the closer stop on the way back to the Inn. It's extremely convenient. We didn't want to shovel our truck out everyday so the bus was amazing. The first one in the morning is around 7am, runs every 20-30 min depending on the day. This Inn is perfect for those who want a pet friendly place with home made breakfast. The cinnamon roll pancakes were my absolute favorite! Thanks again to the innkeepers our stay has been wonderful!

Yelp
The hotel is an older building, ever since we stepped foot inside, there was an odor in the lobby/breakfast area. We checked in and a key to our room was given. We went into the room and the rug had a large stain in the middle. Once we got back to the room and we were getting ready for bed, we noticed an excessive amount of hair on the sheets. Upon further inspection we noticed stains and dirt on the sheets and comforters, and our socks were completely black after a few minutes of walking in the room. We called the after hours line to let them know and someone came in to change our sheets, it took them 3 attempts to find clean sheets to put on the bed. To make matters worse, the walls were very thin so we could hear everything from upstairs, and we had trouble sleeping. For the inconvenience they offered a bottle of wine, however we never received it. We did not have a good experience, and for the amount we paid, we should've gotten better conditions, we will not be returning.

Yelp
Room smelled like sewer and mold had to sleep with the windows open at 30 degree temperatures at night. The room I rented smelled like a sewer. I got in late on check in day after the office had closed. As I approached my room I could smell a sewer smell. I opened the front door to my room and was hit with a wave of sewer smell. I attempted to contact the staff by phone call and text message but no answer. I complained to the staff on my 3rd day (my second day was fully booked and was out of cell phone range) and asked for a different room and was told the manager would call or show up at my room. No one showed up and I didn't receive a call. The smell was so bad coming from the bathroom we had to keep the bathroom door shut and sleep with the hotel windows open during 30 degree temperatures at night because the smell made everyone in my party sick. Headaches and stuffy noses from the sewer and mold smell. The staff would not call me back and did not even offer us another room. I requested to be moved to another room and the staff said a manager would call me back. I asked when and the front desk said they did not know the time frame of a call back. I never heard from them. The smell was so bad I had to go out and buy candles from Rite Aid down the street. I told the front desk this and nothing was done or resolved. I never heard from anyone. Do yourself a favor spend your hard earned money somewhere else. A simple phone call and move us to another room could have resolved this. But they chose to not respond.

Yelp
My husband, dog and I booked this Inn for a trip to Mammoth Lakes. The person at check in was lovely (in fact, everyone we dealt with was lovely). Our first room, the one I booked was clean and neat, a bit small but you get what you pay for :). I slept very well but my husband did not. There was road construction at night (not the hotel's fault). My husband also complained of hearing people going in and out of the room next door where the spa towels were stored in the morning. We spoke to the front desk and they upgraded us to a lovely, premium suite at no additional cost and I thank them for that. I would stay here again and would recommend it knowing that it is an older property and you aren't going to get all the luxury (like sound proofing) of a chain hotel. If you're looking for charm, here it is.

David H.

Yelp
Booked this location on Booking.com! First problem was that the photos and description of this inn are completely different from reality! There is NO hot tub in the room or any room for that matter. There is a hot tub for general use outside! The room we were given accommodated a King bed, loveseat and tv, tub/shower and toilet were so crammed into such a small place if you are claustrophobic don't bother! To top it off the ceiling was an A frame and that probably didn't help with the small size of the room. The room was dirty with old furniture and a front glass door that didn't really feel as if it closed all the way. The staff on location are understanding and very apologetic to the situation and offered a full refund when we found a more accommodating place!

Rebekah T.

Yelp
We recently stayed here for 2 nights and I was pleasantly surprised with how warm and homey it felt. The front office staff was very friendly and the lobby feels like a friend's cozy cabin. Our room was clean, quaint, and comfortable with everything we needed after a long day skiing. If that wasn't enough I was overjoyed with the yummy hot breakfast that was served! Perfect way to start the day!! I highly recommend staying here and I look forward to my next stay!! Thank you Cinnamon Bear for being our home away from home for the weekend.

Tony W.

Yelp
Excellent location, walking distance to restaurants, bars, fishing outfitters, ski/snowboard outfitters & even a local dispensary! Cozy beds & the included breakfast is hardy. Owners/staff are sensational. Prices are best bang for your buck in all of Mammoth Lakes. I'll stay nowhere else when visiting the Mammoth area.

Yelp
BEWARE Fraudulent Charges! I booked a stay through Hotels.com. The contract stated $0 due today, with the entire cost of the stay due at check in. Five minutes later, the hotel charged me $375. I called Hotels.com, who verified that the room I booked did not require a deposit. They contacted the hotel and they refused to honor the terms! I couldn't believe it. I have screenshots and everything. It's not ok to tell someone you won't charge a deposit and then charge $375! I have written the hotel with no response yet. Hopefully they'll take this opportunity to make it right and honor the deal they made available to me. I'm really bummed - this looked like a cute place to stay. But unless they make this right I just don't trust that I won't be overcharged.

Mar G.

Yelp
Place is relatively clean and staff is super friendly and helpful. However there is no AC. You have a fan you can plug in but the rooms get HOT. The shower doesn't drain that great and they just paint over water damage. Overall for cleanliness and location, it's a decent place, just no AC, so be warned for summer months

Djemina B.

Yelp
This place was so cute and charming in every cozy way . Very clean room , wonderful staff and excellent breakfast. Usually when they say breakfast it's not something appetizing, but this place didn't disappoint.

Jasmine L.

Yelp
We came in from out of town to this cozy little bed and breakfast. Super cute rooms included a microwave and mini fridge. Hot tub was out of order at the time which I wanted to relax in, and there are no AC in the rooms. They provide a portable fan in the room but it's rather loud to have on while you watch tv. The breakfast wasn't appetizing but they did provide coffee in the lobby.

Greg m.

Yelp
Outstanding value. Great location and awesome host. I would highly recommend staying here.

NK T.

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights on my recent ski trip. The room was a cool, fairly spacious cabin that looked like it had been recently redone. It had a new TV that allowed access to many platforms such as Hulu, netflix, YouTube, etc. My favorite part about staying here was the lobby where breakfast was served. It's the coziest interior that looks like you're in a lot cabin. There's comfy seating and the buffet style breakfast was pretty good with hash browns, eggs, sausage, french toast, yogurt/granola, peach, cereal, tea, coffee, milk, and orange juice. Everything you'd want for a breakfast. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would love to stay here the next time I ski in mammoth.

Heidi V.

Yelp
Such a steal! Adorable, cozy rooms, nice outdoor jacuzzi and breakfast. Close to ski resort and all with a reasonable price.

Craig N.

Yelp
The whole experience was incredible! Great service, good food, nice hot tub, comfortable bed with really cute rooms. Katie who works the front desk gave us fun advice on a near by scenic hike.

Arnel E.

Yelp
Traveling on a Thursday after Veteran's Day 2020 certainly had it's perks as we got a text before noon that our room was ready as it was unoccupied in the last 24 hours. Ice and snow were already blanketing the street and parking area so navigating the short stretch to our room was tricky. Checking in was contactless and an envelope was left outside the inn's closed lobby with information and room key. Room was toasty upon arrival and we had to turn down the thermostat to it's lowest setting after a while. Staff suggested to open a window and it will cool down real fast. Also cracking a window open can be a fridge subsitute to chill drinks and whatever fits in the window shelf. Room and furnishings were dated as what we've seen in posted pics, the bed was comfortable enough and the closets were spacious. Staff were prompt with answering questions and request via text so that was certainly a plus. Having ordered our breakfast for tomorrow certainly requires an update and a pic for this review.

Eric C.

Yelp
A real cozy place with comfy beds and incredibly friendly staff that really made me feel welcome! There's yummy hot breakfast in the morning and the coffee is good, so there was no need for me to go elsewhere before heading to the lifts. I would definitely try to stay here again the next time I'm in Mammoth. The room we stayed in was well equipped with heater, microwave, refrigerator & freezer, cable TV, and WiFi 6. As mentioned, the beds are comfortable. Ideal place to stay for easy access to the village gondola and Mammoth Mountain. Plenty of local businesses within walking distance. Shuttle stop #13 is very close by and about 5 stops from the village.

Troy T.

Yelp
The rooms are clean and the people working there are really nice and helpful. What's really impressive is the quant living room and breakfast that's next level compared to any other place that includes breakfast with the room! The rooms also use a stove style heating unit which is super cool and you're located close to many amenities from wine, brewery, grocery, massage, and laundromat!

Alex H.

Yelp
Here's a story about my stay at Cinnamon Bear Inn, and it's a decent one, but some downfalls happened to make it a 3 star rating, and I'll jump into it. I arrive at about noon to Mammoth Lakes, do some work I needed to do, and hoped to check in a little before 3. First time I went in I asked if I could check in, got a hard no. Came back an hour and a half ish and asked again, at first got a no, then the guy went outside to check, came back in and said okay fine. I stayed in room 9A. So this review is a headsup for people who book on Hotel Tonight, cause that's what I did, and this is the room I got. This room should be ONLY FOR ONE PERSON. I can't imagine 2 people being in this room because it is TIGHT. Old furniture basically falling apart, a chair, and a bed that was not comfy for me, I tossed and turned all night. This place is OLD. Not sure how old but you can see that it is on the verge of falling apart. The boards creek, the room is dated, and the walls are so thin you can hear people breathing in the next room. On the other hand, the shower heat worked and had a nice shower, the breakfast in the morning was good with nice staff and a roaring fireplace, and it is centrally located to great things like walking distance to an awesome bar and restaurants. So those were the pros. This was the best economical value I found for Thursday-Friday at 100 bucks for the night. Compared to other things at Mammoth, during a Film Festival, it was a decent pricing. 3 stars out the door, decent.

Danika H.

Yelp
Cute little B&B close to Canyon Lodge. This was my second stay at Cinnamon Bear. I was solo and stayed in one of their micro rooms, like last time. The room had a fridge and microwave, always appreciate that as I travel with my own perishable snacks. The heater worked well, and the bed had a memory foam topper. The jacuzzi was steaming, as was the breakfast they serve every morning from 7-9. I like to get some of the first turns at mammoth so an early and hearty breakfast is appreciated. The owners are a lovely family that do a great job making the Cinnamon Bear a comfortable place to be, as well as the best value that you'll find in Mammoth. It's centrally located to anything you could want, some within walking distance and the rest just a short drive away. I will return!

Rusty A.

Yelp
2 visits in a month I've been told the jacuzzi is working. 2 visits in a month, show to a broke down jacuzzi. Told they won't refund or discount my room since it's less than 72 hours. Very disappointed with the service I've received in a place I used to recommend.

Michael G.

Yelp
From they moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the two running the place and they immediately made it feel warm and friendly like home!!! The rooms were perfect and clean! And the FREE continental Breakfast was excellent. Clearly made with love for the guest. They definitely do it right here and have a great vibe. And they allow dogs!!! My two border collies were in heaven! Thank you very much and I will spread the word and be returning. -mike

Yelp
There is no AC, which is advertised and we were expecting. What they don't tell you is that there are no screens on the windows so if you try to get some air flow you are also inviting billions of insects. So either sleep in an oven or get eaten alive. I was more comfortable in my tent the previous three nights. The shower was also terrible. It is impossible to get the water at a comfortable temperature. If you do finally dial it in, you will be met with blasts of ice cold water followed by blasts of scalding hot water. I'm not joking, it is dangerously hot. The toilet was also leaky and old, so when it refills it sounds like someone is drilling into the wall. This happens every 30 minutes or so. They were also not open for breakfast as advertised. We packed up and left and will be seeking a refund. As much as I want to like this place, there are way too many shortcomings to be overcome by aesthetics and smiles. Very disappointing.

M B.

Yelp
I'd give this a thee out of five since the building is quite dated , there were a few minor maintenance issues, and one of the beds was quite uncomfortable with a really squishy mattress. The staff, however, (particularly Lani), pulled it all the way to a five. Lani was both friendly and really helpful with advice about the area and the mountain. The advice really made our visit much better. We all enjoyed the breakfast. On one of the days they had a grab and go burrito option for those heading out early to the slopes. We also enjoyed the hot tub. One thing to note about the hot tub is that it is in a courtyard in the middle of the rooms. When guests blew through hot tub hours (staff were gone by then) it was pretty loud and hard to sleep.

Jazmin K.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love to stay here! We're on our 4th or 5th stay with the Cinnamon Bear Inn now. Sure the amenities may be a little basic but they make it up in customer service. Jeremy and Lannie are great hosts. They are very accommodating and provide a wonderful breakfast. Anything you need they are there to try and accommodate you for a better stay. Stephanie is also awesome. She has a great attitude whenever we were staying in the lobby/living room area. Prices are reasonable and in combination with fantastic staff, we keep coming back pre- and post-COVID . PS. they have 3 adorable little dogs. I mean come on it's like home away from home.

Cedric J.

Yelp
I've stayed at multiple location within Mammoth over the years and this place by far is the warmest and friendliest place I've stayed. The stay makes you feel welcomed and at home. The room are nice as well, you can't beat this place for the price. Definitely will be my go to for my future trips.

S C.

Yelp
We came to the place because of high review. Came by end of April and the snow was still piling high. The heater came in form of fire place which was awesome. Unfortunately the good stops pretty much there. The beds are squeaky, the walls are paper thin, the bathtub drains water way slower than the shower so you'd always be showering in a pool of dirty water, faucet knob was stiff to turn to set temperature, breakfast was mediocre at best, and we tried to reach out to the inn keeper and got no response. We always wanted to support small businesses and we understand the times are tough, but we have to have SOMETHING to support with!

Mackenzie T.

Yelp
We have stayed at this cozy cabin hotel multiple times and it never disappoints. This is our go to every time in Mammoth. The staff always is incredibly friendly and accommodating plus the food and coffee were delicious. What I absolutely love is that they are dog friendly!! Make sure when you check in to mention them. The room is equipped with an old school fireplace that turns on by the thermostat which adds a nice touch to the cozy cabin feel this place already gives. As well as a microwave, refrigerator & freezer, cable TV, and WiFi. And as people who love to snowboard, we really appreciated the storage space they provided for our gear just outside the front door of our room. The lifts are a quick drive with plenty of food and shops within walking distance. Overall, I always recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Mammoth. Thank you Lannie (hope I got that right) and the rest of the staff! From- Matt, Mackenzie and Kona (sausage with legs)

Yelp
WOW! Spent 5 nights here June 20-24 2020, The owners/staff are Amazing. Such a nice B&B breakfast served to my door daily with an egg sandwich, fruit, coffee and OJ. It was my birthday on the 21st and when we got back there was Champaign on ice waiting for me. The level of attention was beyond what I expected! Another positive thing is that thay are Dog friendly.. my pup even got a goodie bag... thank you for such a nice place to lay my head....

Jim M.

Yelp
Cinnamon Bear Inn is a Fantastic B&B! Our family of 5 stayed and loved everything from the room, to the service, to the location. Location is walkable to nearby stores/restaurants, and you're just minutes from some of the best ski lodges in town. Staff was friendly and the ownership clearly takes pride in delivering a great experience. Highly recommend!

Niki M.

Yelp
I haven't even stayed here yet but I felt so compelled to right a review. My buddy and I came up for two days to ski, and unfortunately he lost his car key in the snow. A lot of misfortunes throughout the day and we ended up heading home early. I canceled my hotel stay at 4pm (knowing that I more than likely was not going to get a refund.) And the customer service was so kind and supportive. They sought out immediate support to try and sell the room to someone else and provide a voucher for a future time. Even before all the cancelation occurred, they were on top of it with hotel communication and the details of our stay. I am very much looking forward to my next trip to mammoth staying at Cinnamon Bear Inn, and I hope this encourages you to book a visit with them :) Thank you for the helpful customer support!

Mo A.

Yelp
Great customer service. old inn that could definitely use a makeover but the staff are absolutely wonderful and great

Ted B.

Yelp
This was a really nice place to stay in Mammoth. It has a cozy bed and breakfast vibe. It's in the center of town on a side street. Our room was nice and homey. Everything was good. The free full breakfast was a plus. The Jacuzzi was my favorite. It was nice, clean, and the perfect temperature. We met some cool people in there. I would definitely stay here again.

Kerry K.

Yelp
I'd booked two nights here (9/10-9/11/2021), I ended up with vehicle issues as well as coming down with a fever, I left two voice messages which were never returned kindly asking for a refund. Today (9/15/2021) I made a third call and finally was able to get through to a live person, I believe her name was Lonnie. I explained that even though my vehicle issues were resolved, since I was feeling sick and there was no place in Bridgeport, CA to get a COVID test on a Saturday, I would like a refund. I was offered a potential voucher ("I'll need to check with Expedia, I'm not sure how it works") good for two non-holiday weeknights only. I told Lonnie in a calm voice I wasn't interested in a voucher and that I would be giving them a one star review. She replied, "Excuse me, Mister, you're not going to threaten me, goodbye and have a nice day!" I told her I wasn't a threat, nor was I making a threat, and that writing a negative review is not a threat when the reason for the bad review is legit, but she hung up on me. A completely unresponsive business with terrible customer service, uncharacteristically late check in time (4:30PM), early check out time (10AM), and an easily offended staffer who hung up on a customer who paid $260 who thought he might have COVID. I got a test when I returned home and it was negative but I wasn't taking any chances and Lonnie certainly wasn't giving me any. I feel they took advantage of me and were unsympathetic to my situation. I'm glad I didn't, and will never, patronize this establishment nor will any of my friends who regularly visit Mammoth throughout the year.

Yelp
Arrived here after a drive from Death Valley. The place is a cute wooden building with a nice forest/mountain style. The reception and common area is very cost and the lady working there offered us red and white vine in several different types of grapes. Really cozy. The rooms are very nice and clean, comfortable beds and we slept really good. The included breakfast is homemade and very tasty. The location of the place is also nice. It's not out on the main road, but behind the row of buildings next to it. A real gem!

Mr. O.

Yelp
First time staying here with some buddies. I would let go of the old reviews as there seems to be new ownership and it appears they are taking it seriously. They had breakfast sandwiches and coffee ready early, thankfully. Cool little jacuzzi going while the snow was coming down. Jeremy the manager even dug out my car from snow which was epic, although I don't think that comes with the room rate, but I was stoked. If you've not been here, give it a try. It's location was also a plus. I didn't have to drive anywhere. Food, boarding gear, bakery, pizza, bus stop to the lifts, cannabis store, gas station, liquor store, literally all within walking distance, one, two blocks max. I would think it would have been a bit more pricey for the location and comfort feel but I'll take it. Having stayed at the village lodge in the past I'll likely switch to this spot in the future.

Gary C.

Yelp
The room we stayed in would only be a 3 star, but the manager, Lannie, we dealt with everyday for our week of skiing is definitely a five star. She is the reason I plan to return. We had plenty of opportunity to see her in action because the mountain was closed due to wind for the first part of our stay, and we played hours of cards in the main lodge which is quite cozy. If anyone would like a lesson in hospitality, just watch her interact with guests. Friendly, helpful, positive, thoughtful, kind, and makes a great breakfast to boot. The banana chocolate chip pancakes she made one day are to die for. I happened to meet her mother one day who was visiting and she said Lannie has always been like that. Kinda restored my faith that there are some really good people out there.

Yelp
Stayed for President's day weekend. Feb 15th-18th 2019. Not a good experience in "economy room" 10B. I should have listened to previous reviews. I paid $575 for 3 nights and the shower was ice cold every night, room was the size of a jail cell, and the bed was hard as a rock. I let the staff know about the water issue each night and they claim it was fixed. I had to drive 2.2 miles to a friend's condo to take a shower every night. I know how to use a shower, H is Hot, C is cold. Both put out ice cold water. First night around 12am i was forced to take an ice cold shower. It was pure torture. No microwave, no refrigerator. Remember the high price I paid. The room is so small that when you open the bathroom door, it hits the side of bed. When you open the folding desk, it is almost touching the foot of the bed and you can't put a chair in front to actually use the desk. The walls are very thin and all you hear at night is foot steps, tapping, clicking sounds, the shower or toilet next door. The heater makes clicking sounds at night. Very annoying. All that noise and the hard bed made for an uncomfortable night. Im mostly a side sleeper and all the pressure was on my hips and shoulders. Breakfast was ok and they change the menu daily. Portion was just right and coffee and OJ is offered. Pancakes the first day were slightly undercooked and tasted a little like raw flour but edible... second day omlette and potatoes were alright. I've been coming to Mammoth for 6 years in a row and have never stayed at a place that was so bad. On the third night I called the owner and at first he offered another room or a free stay voucher. The bed was hard as a rock so I declined. At the end I was offered a $60 credit back to my debit card which I accepted because I was tired of complaining and arguing. I should have get at least half of my money back. For $575 I expect hot showers and a comfortable bed. Why is there a desk if you cant actually use it? Overpriced for what you get. Room is worth $50 a night at most. In fact, an actual jail cell is probably more comfortable. At least they have hot water lol. Never going back again! I'd rather stay at the Rodeway which is also old and run down but at least they have hot showers and comfortable beds. I have honestly snow camped in 20 degree temps inside a tent and been more comfortable. While camping, i can at least boil water to shower. The yelp app isn't showing me the photos and videos i took of the room and shower but im telling the truth 100%. A friend even came to witness the cold water himself. He didnt believe me but when he saw how cold the water was, he was pissed! Do not stay here. Go camping in Bishop for $14 a night or stay at the roadway inn. Update: $60 was refunded as promised on 2/20/2019. I still will not ever go back. *Cold showers/Noisey/Hard Bed/cramped room* Be Warned!

Yelp
Russ Harrison no longer owns The Cinnamon Bear. New owners Aaron and Dave are wonderfull. They are two young men with a lot of great ideas to bring The Cinnamon Bear into 2022. New beds,New paint New floors. It is not all happening at once but it is happening. If you are a frequent guest a returning guest or a first time guest I can guarantee you will be pleased with the upgrades. Make your reservation now. Mammoth still has a lot of great snow. Roads are clear and dry. Always check current weather and current road conditions. Hwy 395 Hwy 203

Yelp
If you're looking for a great bed-and-breakfast centrally located in town, look no further! The staff is amazing, the rooms are clean and you can literally walk to all the stores and restaurants within five minutes. Plus you get a free breakfast every morning!!

Yelp
Loved this place! Would definitely come here again on my next mammoth trip and would highly recommend to others. The location is great, close to the free bus stop across the street (in front of the post office) to take you to the mountains, room was clean, bed was perfect combination of soft and firm, and although I didn't get a chance to enjoy their breakfast, they had omelettes and pancakes and sausages. The dining area was also very cozy and inviting. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Staff is fantastic, they went above & beyond to help with anything they could! Location is great, right off the mountain, and walkable to a lot of restaurants. Room had a cool fireplace, breakfast in the morning including omelettes/eggs cooked to order. I would stay here again, largely due to the staff & location. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Absolutely fell in love with The Cinnamon Bear Inn. It is beyond charming. The room was modern and a great size. We had two closets not to mention an outdoor closet to store our boards. The made to order hot breakfast was an amazing way to start the day. The wine and cheese was a great way to end the day after riding so many hours. The location was perfect. Walking distance to many yummy restaurants, a grocery store and only one mile to the Village. We parked our car the 3 days and walked or used the tram. So easy. The best part was the large and very hot, hot tub. It soothed our aching muscles at night. Cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Overpriced for cold rooms with heaters that don't work, pet stained carpets, water stained ceiling from where the upstairs bathroom previously flooded, paper thin walls that you can here every footstep of your upstairs neighbor, you can even hear them when they pee. The place is an absolute dump and not worth the prices they are charging.

Yelp
Found this place last minute and was super glad I did. Apparently they had just replaced the beds, perfect location by lots of good restaurants and bars walking distance. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There is parking and had breakfast available in the morning. Looking forward to my next trip up there.
