Here's a story about my stay at Cinnamon Bear Inn, and it's a decent one, but some downfalls happened to make it a 3 star rating, and I'll jump into it.
I arrive at about noon to Mammoth Lakes, do some work I needed to do, and hoped to check in a little before 3. First time I went in I asked if I could check in, got a hard no. Came back an hour and a half ish and asked again, at first got a no, then the guy went outside to check, came back in and said okay fine.
I stayed in room 9A. So this review is a headsup for people who book on Hotel Tonight, cause that's what I did, and this is the room I got.
This room should be ONLY FOR ONE PERSON. I can't imagine 2 people being in this room because it is TIGHT. Old furniture basically falling apart, a chair, and a bed that was not comfy for me, I tossed and turned all night.
This place is OLD. Not sure how old but you can see that it is on the verge of falling apart. The boards creek, the room is dated, and the walls are so thin you can hear people breathing in the next room.
On the other hand, the shower heat worked and had a nice shower, the breakfast in the morning was good with nice staff and a roaring fireplace, and it is centrally located to great things like walking distance to an awesome bar and restaurants. So those were the pros.
This was the best economical value I found for Thursday-Friday at 100 bucks for the night. Compared to other things at Mammoth, during a Film Festival, it was a decent pricing.
3 stars out the door, decent.
