I recently had dinner at Plates Restaurant at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. The dinner buffet offered a remarkable variety of dishes from authentic Sri Lankan delicacies to a wide range of international cuisines. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The seafood and grill sections were absolute highlights, with perfectly cooked dishes and a great selection of options. The live cooking stations added a lively touch, and the chefs were more than happy to cater to individual tastes. The dessert spread was equally impressive with everything from rich cakes to traditional sweets that made it hard to choose just one favorite! A special mention must go to the amazing staff who made the evening even more pleasant Mr. Chaminda, Lakshitha, Ayoma, and Chamodi. Their warm hospitality, attentiveness, and professionalism truly stood out. They ensured everything ran smoothly and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. With its top-quality food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere, Plates at Cinnamon Grand offers one of the best buffet experiences in Colombo. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Friendly Service. Excellent Staff. We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Cinnamon Grand. The food was delicious with a great variety. Guest Relations Manager Dumith and the front office staff supported us to stay long. Specially Mr. Dumith introduced GHA Discovery Rewards System and it was very useful.

The Best Omelette of My Trip – and Outstanding Service from Aveesha! 🥚✨||I stopped by for breakfast more or less by chance – and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The omelette was absolutely perfect: fluffy, freshly made, and beautifully seasoned. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into preparing it. It wasn’t greasy at all, just light and full of flavor.||A special mention goes to Aveesha, who provided truly outstanding service – warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made the whole experience even more enjoyable with her friendly smile and thoughtful attitude.

An amazing experience, we came here on our first night of our trip and it was a great introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and ensuring we had the best time. Milan was especially helpful and took the time to explain all the different foods and fruits available in the buffet. Amazing singers and performers aswell which made the whole night an evening to remember. Would definitely recommend!

I visited Plates Restaurant on the evening of 19th October to celebrate my son's birthday, and I must say — the experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding and the food was simply delicious. A special mention must go to Dilan, who took care of our table throughout the evening. Dilan’s service was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and professional. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for our celebration. Thanks to him, the evening became truly unforgettable for our family. We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Cinnamon Grand. The food was delicious with a great variety, but what truly made our meal special was the outstanding service we received from Gimhan. Gimhan was incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly throughout our entire meal. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and always served with a warm smile. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it!
