We had a wonderful lunch buffet experience at Cinnamon Grand Colombo. The spread was impressive, with a wide variety of well-prepared dishes. Everything we tried was flavourful, and it was truly a satisfying and relaxing dining experience. Also special thanks to Chameesha who welcomed us. She was incredibly warm, polite, and professional. She kindly gave us a tour and made sure we felt comfortable and well-informed throughout our visit. Her hospitality and friendly attitude really stood out and made our experience even more memorable.

I stayed at Cinnamon Grand Colombo for three nights and overall had a very pleasant experience. As a GHA Platinum member, I was kindly allowed a late check-out, which I truly appreciated and found very thoughtful. I would especially like to highlight the excellent and professional service from Natasha and Dumith. They were proactive, attentive, and communicated with me clearly, always offering reasonable and helpful suggestions that made my stay much smoother and more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Nuga Gama, the hotel’s Sri Lankan buffet restaurant. The setting under the large banyan tree created a wonderful atmosphere — relaxing, immersive, and truly unique. The experience felt both authentic and fun, and it was a memorable way to explore local cuisine. The only minor downside was that the room facilities felt somewhat outdated, and the humidity level was quite high. That said, the bed was very large and extremely comfortable, which helped ensure a good night’s sleep. Overall, the warm service, dining experience, and hospitality outweighed the shortcomings, and I would still recommend Cinnamon Grand Colombo to travelers looking for attentive service and a touch of local character.

My stay at Cinnamon Grand Colombo was truly exceptional and set a high benchmark for hospitality. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Colombo, making it convenient to access key business districts, shopping areas, and coastal attractions. The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and offered a perfect blend of comfort and modern amenities, ensuring a relaxing experience after a busy day. What stood out the most was the professionalism and warmth of the staff ( Especially calling out Mr. Dumith Nonis from the Guest Relations). Every interaction from check-in to dining and concierge support was handled with efficiency and genuine care. The breakfast experience was equally impressive, with an excellent variety of cuisine options and outstanding quality. The overall ambience of the hotel, combined with its world class facilities, excellent service, and attention to detail, made my stay both comfortable and memorable. I would highly recommend Cinnamon Grand Colombo to both business and leisure travelers visiting Sri Lanka, and I look forward to staying there again.

I want to thank the entire hotel staff for looking after us and our baby so well. We had sooo many clothes in our room but our room attendants, including Prabath and Amal tidied it so beautifully every day. One time they even nicely placed some cash notes that we forgot to put in the safe - so trustworthy. And the ENTIRE executive lounge were incredible - too many names to mention. They gave baby so much love and it really felt like home there - thank you! (Great food and drinks too). Speaking of food, Ashan Bandara (hopper chef extraordinaire!) made us the most delicious egg hoppers at the breakfast buffet, and is such a kind person as were the rest of the staff at Plates restaurant. And speaking of restaurants, London Grill is one of the best fine dining experiences in South Asia (seriously, food is exceptional and service was top tier, they treated baby like a princess). We can’t wait to go there again on our final night. Honestly, we’ve never experienced a hotel with such kind staff, everyone felt like family. And finally, thank you to the senior hotel management - they are real pros. I don’t believe there’s a better hotel in Colombo and we’ll definitely come back.

I recently visited Cinnamon Grand to gather insights for my academic research on how leading hotels in Sri Lanka highlight and preserve local heritage within their brand experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Mr. Diyan Fernando from the Front Office. Even though it was around 5:30 PM, he didn’t rush the interaction or treat it as just another inquiry. Instead, he genuinely took the time to understand what I was looking for. He kindly walked me through the hotel, patiently explaining elements that were relevant to my research and sharing valuable insights along the way. What truly stood out was his enthusiasm, it never faded. He was energetic, charismatic, and clearly passionate about his role. It was refreshing to experience such authentic Sri Lankan hospitality, especially from someone who takes real pride in representing the hotel. Hats off to Cinnamon Grand for having team members like Diyan who truly go the extra mile. Experiences like this leave a lasting impression. Highly appreciated!!

Turning accomodation into an experience is done with professionalism at this hotel. The Executive level provides amazing service. Damith, Wasanthu and Upeksha, make every guest feel as if they have their undivided attention at the 9th floor facility. Tasty morsels are refreshed three times of day and drinks are available in the evening. The room overlooks the Beira Lake and pool area. Furnishings are tasteful and the environment quiet. It is a refuge from the bustle of Colombo and a wonderful place to relax in conversation with friends and family. Worth every cent, this dimension should be considered when booking. Samantha found in the lobby area will help begin your journey and direct other staff to meet your needs. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

His attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care made a significant difference to our experience. It is rare to see such proactive guest engagement. Overall, an excellent experience. We would certainly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Colombo.

This was my first time visiting Sri Lanka and the team at Cinnamon Grand quickly became family who made us feel at home in Colombo. The team ensured I had a memorable stay. The hotel facilities were great and the lounge allowed me to relax and unwind with beautiful views for both sunrise and sunset. The vast selection of restaurants within the hotel allowed us to have the opportunity to experience different cuisines. I was also able to experience several local Sri Lankan vegetarian delicacies with were packed with flavours. The location was amazing and walking distance from the Galle Face Beach where I spent most evenings absorbing the Colombo buzz whilst admiring the stunning sunset. There is also easy transport access from the hotel if you wish to travel around in a Rickshaw. Dilshanu welcomed us on first day and sent us off with a selection of teas on our last day. Service with a smile with Masala chai everyday and fruits for Shivratri. Damith gave lots of Spiced and Ceylon Tea on first day. Also ensured we had a vegetarian sandwich selection with fries for the high tea. Upeksha assisted with amenities across the hotel and restaurants across on site Chenul shared his knowledge of Sri Lanka providing us with lots of tour info for our trip. Prassan spoke of the old Oberoi becoming the Cinnamon Grand working from 2008. The executive lounge has to be one of the highlights of the trip. The first day of our arrival was filled with a food marathon and my first experience of fresh real coconut milk (not the pre packed stuff) which was a game changer. I look forward to coming back here when I’m next in Colombo.
