I am a National Tourist Guide Lecturer, and I have visited Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo many times to check in my guests. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the service provided by the hotel staff.
On several occasions, there have been multiple service issues. Most recently, on 09 March 2027 at around 2:00 AM, I checked in a group of 32 guests, and we experienced several problems during the check-in process. Some of the room key cards were not working, which caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience for the guests.
In one particularly serious incident, the hotel provided a room key to one of my guests for a room that was already occupied. When the guest opened the door, another guest was already inside the room. This kind of mistake is unacceptable, especially for a hotel that operates as a five-star property.
I respectfully request the hotel management to review and improve their front office and room management system, as the current level of service does not reflect the standards expected from a five-star hotel. As a professional guide responsible for international guests, such experiences create serious inconvenience and affect the reputation of the destination as well
