Cinnamon - Now Aladin

Initially, we didn't plan to dine here. We wanted to go to Aladin (next door), however, they were fully booked so simply moved us over to this place. We weren't very convinced but the food tasted good so no regrets. Staff could be a bit nicer but that's all.

I came here for my 40th birthday dinner with friends in October… I had a lovely time here the staff were excellent and friendly! They even went over the road and got us cheaper drinks which was lovely of them. The food items led was amazing, I couldn’t fault the service or the kitchen staff at all. I will surely return back here soon! Thanks again to my brothers in the restaurant who made it a special night for me. We were a party of 7

Great indian food, nothing outstanding. Came here for the great reviews and masterchef renown, and we tried the special chef’s dish (chicken tikka blast) which was supoosed to be out of this world, but.. it was alright. We’ve had better even on brick lane. The disappointing part was the misunderstanding too: my wife asked for medium spicy, and i asked for very spicy.. both came out as zero spicy, none at all. Could not feel anything spicy. At the end, I told the waiter and they told me that I should have asked for “indian spicy”, so they know I really want it spicy, as they cannot risk with tourists to make food too spicy.. well, it was a bit too late and I was very disappointed. Should have told me before!

Excellent service from a waiter called jazz who i believe is a huge asset to the business went out of his way to insure I was well catered for as well as being full of charisma and jokes made a good addition to the already good vibes from the evening. My friend doesn't always order lamb meals out as often chewy but gave it ago from Jazz advice and it was lovely clearly slow cooked in prep as it fell apart perfectly.

It was a nice and affordable meal, although nothing mind blowing. The service was good. Most 'medium' dishes were not all that spicy, but you can ask for extra chili. Don't forget to bring your own beer.

A standard curry along Brick Lane. The staff had something to be desired. They weren't very friendly and give the impression they just wanted to hurry us along. The food was tasty and is what would be expected. Reasonably priced and I would go again. The toilets are not wheelchair accessible. I went in a group of 9 and we enjoyed what we ordered.

Went for dinner tonight after looking at the Google rating but not reading the Google reviews themselves. Turns out, the reviews are fake (or at least are of a steak restaurant). We ordered the butter chicken and paneer makhani. They were the worst versions of these dishes I have ever had - and the paneer makhani I was served was actually paneer in white gravy. Bland, incredibly sweet sauces in both dishes. Service was terrible (took a long time to get a water and a coke), we were over-charged (the bill total didn’t add up to the sum of the items, and we were told the overage was a “service charge”). Would give 0 stars if I could. Noticed too late that the 4 restaurants right around here share the same photos on Google Maps (including a photo of interior decor that doesn’t match any of these restaurants). Do not come to these restaurants and look up places on TripAdvisor, not google!

Great curry!! But more impressive is the duck tape craftsmanship to keep the hand dryer on the wall. Top work fellas
