Cinnamon Red Colombo

Cinnamon Red Colombo was our first experience staying at a Cinnamon brand hotel, and overall it was a very good introduction to the brand. We got an amazing room overlooking the south side of the city, opposite the Lotus Tower, with a great city view that made the stay feel special. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with good amenities and a nice contemporary vibe that feels more like a business-lifestyle hotel. Breakfast was not bad at all, with a decent variety of local and international options, fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. It was a solid start to the day and well organized, although not the most luxurious spread we had on the trip. The rooftop pool area looked really cool and had a great city view, but it is not heated, which might be a downside for some guests depending on the weather or time of year. Overall, a very good stay, great value for money, and a solid city hotel.

My family and I stayed at Cinnamon Red for 4 days and 3 nights and we had a wonderful experience. The service right from the front door to the breakfast buffet to the room service was phenomenal. ||Siraz was our driver from the hotel travel desk who went above and beyond what we ever expected of him. He was incredibly kind and caring, and his communication is so good and his knowledge is so vast that it made the time spent commuting very enjoyable. Our itinerary was quite tight and we were short on time but he made a great effort in ensuring we got to see everything, even going to the extent of calling places ahead of time to ensure that they’ll remain open for us. He also participated with us at our request he saw our enthusiasm is wanting to know more about this beautiful country. He was by far the best driver/tour guide we have ever had on an international trip and would highly recommend him and his company to anyone wishing to visit.

I experienced the beauty of the room and the city view. That's great. But I have to mention that some facilities are not good for the money we spent. No welcome drink, We had to wait on the counters until our check-in process was done. Didn't see any baggage service, Room cards didn't work well sometimes, and the website displayed the final amount for 1 night 100$ (tax inclusive) but thay chaged 106$ from my bank card. So overall, the experience was good.

This is my first stay at Cinnamon Red and I was pleasantly surprised by its charm. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, a good variety of food, from Sri lankan, Indian and western choices along with a substantial choice of pastries. The room was spacious, the bed and sheets were anazing! Great views too! Suranga, the room cleaner was always helpful, courteous and friendly. He was efficient and such a delight to deal with. The room was always well stocked with tea, coffee and essentials. A really wonderful hotel and I really enjoyed my time here.

Positive: Location is a major plus point. It is a short tuktuk ride away from all major tourist points. Room I stayed in was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. All toiletries and tea/coffee supplies were available. The rooftop bar was a nice place to chill after the day. Negative: The door to the bathroom is frosted glass door which does not have a latch and so cannot be closed properly

Had a wonderful experience at Cinnamon Red Colombo. The hotel has a modern vibe with stunning city views, especially from the rooftop infinity pool. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. Food was delicious with a good variety. Perfect place to relax or enjoy a city getaway. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay overall. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely view, a pleasant smell, and AC that was quiet. The king-size bed was very comfortable. We also appreciated the security: the elevator is accessible only with a key card, which made the hotel feel safe. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was mediocre — not many new options, mostly the same selection every morning (tip: the apple juice isn’t worth it). Dinner is available at an extra cost (for two people buffet was 38 euros), but for the price the taste-to-value ratio felt low to mid. Still, a solid choice in Colombo for comfort, cleanliness, and safety.

The location and view were pleasant, adding to the overall experience. However, there was an issue with the seating arrangement. We were given a round table for 8 people, which did not provide enough space to dine comfortably. Although we arrived early and requested an additional table closer to the buffet, our concern was unfortunately not addressed by the staff. Overall, it was a good experience, but better attention to seating arrangements and customer requests would improve it further.
