Yelp
The staff was so wonderful, courteous, and extremely helpful, so that is the reason that I am giving two stars. The hotel falls short on every level after that.
The phone cord was broken; therefore, we could not call room service and had to go to the front desk whenever we needed assistance.
The room had a horrible mildew order. It was so bad that we had to but scented candles.
The closet had one hanger which posed a huge problem because I was not able to hang my dresses, hence my next issue.
The iron was burnt so badly that it was beyond use. We were afraid to use it for fear that it would stain our clothing.
No electrical oulet in the bathroom so forget about using your curling iron, hair dryer, waterpik, etc.
The refrigerator was small like those used in college dorms, which would have been ok, etc it was stocked with mini bar items. We were not able to add items of our choice like baby formula because there was no space.
The shower rod and curtain was only half the length of the shower stall, so I had to shower with my back facing the faucet to keep from wetting the floor. And to make the situation more frustrating: the water flow was so slow that I had to hold it on one section of my body for at least 2 minutes to remove all of the soap.
There was a one cup coffee maker, but no complimentary coffee or tea.
The dishes and eating utensils were old, dull, stained, mismatched, and scratched up.
The hotel is located in a less than eye friendly neighborhood, and not near the beach. Not being near the beach was not a deal breaker for me, but it was frustrating when we got to the beach and was not able to get a spot because every area was designated for the hotels located on the beach.
The fitness center had a weight machine that was missing the pin, so we were not able to adjust the weights, the treadmill sitting in the corner collecting dust was not working.
Cleaning service came to clean room, left one towel for two occupants. When we requested additional towels, we were told that our towels were being washed. Really? No, extra towels?
There was no holder for the toilet paper... So I thought at first. The holder, we discovered, our last day was behind the dingy guest robes hanging in the bathroom that we never touched. (Which were a couple of feet away from the toilet so you would have to rise up to reach the paper.)
If you want ice, you have to go to the restaurant on an upper floor. No ice if the restaurant is closed.
Located a few miles from the beach and does not have a designated area for its guest, so the guests of the hotels located on the beach occupy all of the space.
The staff was wonderful, but overall, this place is below less than ideal.
