Took a reformer booty and core class with Kristina today and I really enjoyed the pace! She’s very encouraging even with the challenging moves! I loved that she walked around the room really checking our form cause that made all the difference with some of the moves 😅 Also loved that this studio has a cold plunge and lil sauna

I just completed the 30 day challenge and Circuit Works definitely made that much easier. I’m not a fan of HIIT but the routine they have keeps you moving that class goes by quickly. I did mostly morning classes with Nick who is great. He makes a lot of jokes and is very good about form and making adjustments. The studio is really well kept, the cool temperature keeps me from overheating. I also love the amenities - infrared sauna and cold plunge, the body scan, the trackers so you see how you do during your workouts. If you’re really serious about getting in shape definitely go for the circuit works 30 day challenge.

Voted Best Gym 2025 in Santa Monica and it truly is!!!! HIIT is supersonic fun!! Raphael and the whole team are absolutely and utterly incredible from HIIT & private training to Yoga & Pilates. More importantly, the community is so awesome, positive and inspiring, there is just nothing like it. I have always been a workout-holic who prefers to workout or train alone as I think that is serious, but therapeutic personal time to get the job done especially towards a specific goal. And I do have the discipline and perseverance to begin with, so I don't necessarily need the motivation from outside source. I did train for 6 marathons basically alone ( with my dog Choco's help except for runs over 13 miles and with some additional speed work & pointers from a trainer in order to quality for Boston). Now, all that is said and done, and behind me. But then upon discovering CW, I was blown away and inspired by Raphael, the team, and everything in it including the spanking new studio/gym space, which is nicely designed coming from me as a licensed architect. My 14 yr old son has been doing weight training alone for the past year but is ready to train with some help and directions. Here is a clip how he smashed his pushup record to 120 only during the 1st assessment ( not to scare anyone lol). Thanks to Raphael!!!! He has since been even further inspired, and is embraced by Raphael & CW community. Go check it out as I know you will be inspired as well!! The energy there is totally infectious for anyone who needs the motivation or not!!!! Updates: Best HIIT in LA!! As my personal trainer, Raphael also helped me tremendously to cure the neck pain ( pinched nerve) I have been dealing with for the past 6 years ever since my concussion. My nightly pain has gone to a minimum, and I am forever grateful. My son Vale is also seeing amazing results as he is growing into high school. Updates: My neck condition has been improved much further and sustained by even stronger muscles day by day. Sauna & cold plunge 2-3 times a week is definitely assisting on this “miracle healing” ❤️‍🩹 Updates: My home away from home with everything in 1 place from HIIT to Yoga to Pilates to personal training to open gym to sauna & cold plunge to health & wellness. Let me remind you that the studio is stunning with a whole lot of daylighting for personal comfort and wellness. To me, it’s very important to support local, quality small business with a solid, engaging, supportive, & caring community!!

First day at circuits works and loved it ! Great class, easy to understand yet offered different levels to challenge you. After class you can recover in the sauna and cold plunge.

I started my Curcuit Works Challenge after not working out for a couple of years. Not only do the classes provide an incredible workout, but the Instructors are kind, patient and super knowledgeable! They are there to guide you and offer support, especially for people like me who are just getting back into it. I am excited to be able to see my growth and improvement with each class! I definitely recommend Curcuit Works to everyone!

I hadn’t seen Raphael since I was a child—an old friend of my father's whom I probably last saw when I was around 10 years old. Ironically, I signed up for a 30-day fitness challenge without realizing he was the owner. Once I made the connection, I felt even more motivated to fully commit—and I’m so glad I did. The results I experienced were truly incredible. I grew up running track, doing gymnastics, and cheerleading—always athletic—but I can honestly say that now, at 32, I’m in better shape than I was at 17. The balanced diet provided as part of the program made a noticeable difference in how I felt and performed. Raphael’s energy as an instructor makes the classes fly by, and the next-day soreness is the kind you’re proud of—it’s proof you showed up and put in the work. He’s hands down the best accountability coach I could have asked for. This experience reminded me that everything really does happen for a reason. #EverythingHappensForAReason

taylor is amazing -- she is knowledgable and informative but also succinct and Fun! i aways say -- it's easy to make a hard workout, but hard to make a fun workout and she has it down perfectly. she's got the perfect balance of coaching and energy -- i am always so grateful to begin my day with her class <3

Love this place. Everything you want (and more) with nothing extra. A breath of fresh air from big chains. The circuit training is the best I have tried as far as maxing out effort without injury (you use wristbands to stay in the goal HR zone for the whole session — which includes weights, stations, and treadmill). They also have reformer Pilates, and hot + yin yoga, as well as sauna/plunge and kickboxing/open gym. All the staff is great — shoutout to Jamil and Sydney for helping me train without injury. Also love the total variety in age/gender/build of the ppl who train here — probably bc the workouts are really well suited to all levels. Everyone is super friendly and it is not …culty lol. I love the progress and consistency I’m able to achieve here, and 45min goes farther than in other gyms. Very thoughtfully designed place and workouts! They also have a free run club open to non members. A gem.

Yelp
I'm hooked ! What a great place to workout at. It's a combination of amazing trainers, great leadership, sense of community and intimacy run by a very. Experienced dedicated and wonderful person.

Yelp
This place is a closed knit community of fitness. Everyone is wonderful. Coaches are friendly. The only hard part is finding parking after 6PM since the free street parking is closed off. But besides that, I love coming to the place. Raph always greets everyone who comes. People here work so hard. Totally recommend it.

Yelp
Circuit works is an amazing way to start your new years. The facilities are state of the art and well maintained. Raphael's personal training sessions are great and will whip you into shape!

Yelp
Their hours of operation online say from 6am-7:30pm so I tried to book a 6:30 am sauna session. Absolutely no one was at the front desk. Nor did anyone answer the phone, and the front door was locked. I was outside waiting in the dark and mind you---this isn't the safest area and suspicious people were walking by. Please change the hours of operation online if they're not reflective of when someone can be present or when customers can enter the facility.

Yelp
Please, for the love of god, turn down your bass You are gym, not a club. Look, I get it. Woo exercising! You wanna pump people up! Loud music does that. But there's a limit to everything. You can't just be infinitely loud. I'm not sure if you are aware, but your business backs up against a neighborhood, where, ya know, people live. In their homes. Living across the alley from your gym is like living on top of a club that is constantly thumping, all day, every day, starting at 5:30 AM. Thump-thump-thumping on an incredibly loud bass, on top of someone shouting "FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!" every 5 minutes. There is no longer any such thing as a moment of peace in my life in the morning. Again, it's my home, where else am I supposed to go? It's driving me fucking insane. (You try having someone thumping a bass all morning every single day of your life..) This shit just doesn't need to be that loud. I'm certain if you turned down the bass and the megaphone at your gym, everyone would get just as good a workout as they always have. Just please, have some consideration for the community that you exist in. I'll delete my review if you do.

Yelp
I cancelled my membership over the phone and they keep on charging my credit card without my permission every 2 weeks. I stopped going to their gym since more than 2 months and they keep on charging my card. Be careful don't trust them.

Yelp
First time at circuit works and I love everything they have to offer. Very clean and accommodating in every way. Don't miss Marissa's yoga class on Wednesdays, great way to work up a sweat and stretch while getting personalized instruction.

Yelp
I love the new location off Lincoln! There's so much more space. Me and my girlfriend do the full body circuit class. We've had a chance to work with 5 different Circuit Work coaches but our favorites are Taylor and Jibril. We are on an every-other-day cadence so we try to sync our work calendars with these two coaches. Taylor is super engaging. She's quick to jump in with corrective action to avoid any injury (THANK YOU TAYLOR!) and freakin' love her playlists. Jibril keeps class super fun. He's incredibly motivating and energizing and will also jog across the room if he sees you slipping or struggling with form. Appreciate you both- you make working out go by quickly - and the results of feeling fitter and faster are also appreciated. :D

Yelp
I love that Circuit Works has a good mix of all different types of workouts, but one that really stands out is yoga with Malena. I've taken yoga classes at a lot of studios, from vinyasa to hot to sculpt, and I've yet to have an experience as transformative as with her. Malena has not only mastered the physicalities of yoga, but is visibly in touch with her spiritual and meditative side, transporting me to a space where I can recenter and connect with my body. I have endless good things to say about my experience with her, one of the most kind, hands-on, and intuitive yogis!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this new location and great instructors. It is a hard workout but not something you can do every day. But still recommend it for people looking to tone and burn lots of calories.

Celine C.

Yelp
I took a hot yoga class with Malena, and it was AMAZING!! It was my first class here, and I will definitely be returning because of her. Her class left me feeling motivated, stress-relieved, and connected with my body again. She is the best and I was so impressed! Love her energy and spirit as well. I HIGHLY recommend taking a class with her!

Yelp
Love circuit works! Not only can you do circuit training but also Pilates reformer and yoga. I haven't tried the infrared sauna or cold plunge but that's Available too. Great environment, not pretentious like some places can be in LA.

Yelp
Never went to the gym but they are relentless spammers. I have no idea how I got on their list. I don't even live in LA anymore.I have unsubscribed and blocked numerous times but they never stop spamming.

Yelp
Absolutely love! The coaches are all fantastic, encouraging and warm. I never thought I'd like HIIT classes, but the classes here have made me love them (and the changes I'm seeing in my body/stress levels).

Yelp
Circuit works is awesome interval training without the pretense of other "trendier" fitness studios. The crowds here are chill and noncompetitive, yet the workouts are challenging and effective. I love the structure of the classes at Circuit Works. You alternate between intervals on the treadmills and floor exercises, and I love that those intervals are SHORT. You are usually on the treadmill for 2-5 minutes, depending on the instructor, and then switch to a floor exercise. There are usually about 10 floor exercises, some involving free weights, others on machines, and there are ipad video instructions at each one so there is no confusion over how to do any particular exercise. Because the intervals are so fast, the one hour class is over before you realize. Compared to other HIIT classes, Circuit Works is the most painless and I never dread it like I do other tough classes. I've taken classes with all the instructors and they're great. They all have their own style. Some very professional, some very fun, some easy, some hard, but all motivating. My one gripe is that parking can be tough. There are only meters and many of the meters are only fifteen minutes! Be sure to read the signs carefully or risk at $$$ SM parking ticket!

Yelp
Logan was a great coach. My friend Dave also highly recommends it. Loved the atmosphere as well

Yelp
By far my favorite Classpass option. I always burn 400-500 calories here, which is twice what I get at the more expensive and pretentious Barry's Bootcamp. Lots of great instructors, but I notice that the higher energy ones definitely push me to work out harder and burn more calories. Bevin is especially motivating.
google avatar

Yelp
I have never written a review Before. especially a bad one. I know in times of Covid it is important to keep things clean. But they are using bleach during every rotation to clean. My skin is swollen, my eyes burn. I'm nauseous And my outfit is now pink. From my understanding it is not safe to inhale this much bleach... I also, being new, felt very confused. The trainer was pretty helpful but i was still very confused.

Yelp
Amazing workout that anyone can jump into without any pretension. I came here through ClassPass as part of my first week back at exercising in general after a few months off. I walked in fearing that I would not be able to keep up with the class, get intimidated by the equipment, or get an injury from the quick pace of circuit training. I walked out feeling WIPED but also totally accomplished and energized from finishing everything with proper form and burning 500+ calories. Daniela, the main instructor, was super welcoming and motivating throughout. A side instructor walking around to give adjustments + tips was also incredibly understanding and helpful. Starting and ending with yoga/stretching was refreshing and good for preventing injury. Most people were there from ClassPass, but it had a surprisingly friendly community vibe which made me want to come back! One Yelper mentioned dangerous instructions given here, mentioning that she had an injury from jumping on an unexpectedly moving treadmill (that wasn't turned off by a previous user.) This studio may have read her advice and taken it into account, since when I went the instructors were VERY loud and clear after every circuit change about saying "make sure you hit that stop button two times" before getting off the treadmill. I felt safe and supported throughout my workout as someone not used to gym equipment. My minor complaints about working out here are logistical and have to do with being a first-timer. When I walked in, I was kind of confused about where to go first and had to approach one of the trainers (who were super nice when I asked!) The classes are small enough that after check in, you should be told where to go and what the format of the class will be. Also, I got an email about filling out waivers for class about 30 mins before getting to the studio. I filled everything out, but when I got to the studio I had to fill every waiver out again. Not really sure why I had to do it 2x. Overall though, highly recommend!

Yelp
A lot to like about the CW workout. Coaches are proactive about correcting your form, the energy is positive, and the music is solid. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Shiva E.

Yelp
The workout is similar to Barry's bootcamp but the intervals are much shorter, which is great for people who don't like running for a long time consecutively. Parking is hit or miss. If you arrive a little early there is usually street parking. But sometimes it's full and you'll have to walk a couple blocks to get to the class. It would be great if they had their own parking lot. I love that they have heart monitors and everyones heartrate is projected on the TV screen throughout the class. It gives you an extra boost to keep your heart rate elevated.
google avatar

Stacy H.

Yelp
Circuit Works provides the ultimate workout with a combination of tread running and full body strength training. Each class offers something new which keeps you on your toes and leaves some part of your body sore the next day. Trainers are awesome and the music is always great. I highly recommend Circuit Works if you want to take your workouts to the next level and see and feel a noticeable change to your body.

Yelp
--LOCATION-- Facing West on Main Street. --PARKING-- Metered parking. I noticed a lot of 3 hour max parking for $1/hour --FACILITY-- Overall very small space. The lobby area is tight, but the workout space is more manageable. They make the space work for them. +bathrooms are located in the back next to the water fountain. If you're in the waiting for a class to end but gotta go, you'll have to find a right opportunity to sprint to the bathroom without disturbing the class. +bathrooms have hair ties, deodorant sprays, make-up remover, nail filers, cotton swabs, toothpaste and toothbrush, and feminine care products! +snacks and drinks available in front lobby (not complimentary). Check in on FB for free water I think? +cubbies available in gym space to leave your stuff +no lockers +towels available for workout --GYM/WORKOUT-- High intensity workout! You will split your time on the treadmill and on the floor. There were 10 floor workouts total. You alternate between these floor workouts and treadmill runs They are a fully equipped gym. Here are some that I remember using/seeing: +11 treadmills available +TRX +leg machines (leg press, squat rack, etc) +free weights, weighted bars +benches +resistance bands +yoga balls +mats +kettle balls The workouts you have planned will be demonstrated on screens around the rooms. It's convenient for when you get to your next station but totally blank on what you have to do. It's also very handy to check your form. --HEART RATE MONITORS-- YESS this was awesome. They have these for you to wear during your workout. You can see your name and condition on a big screen the entire time. It also helps distinguish how hard you're pushing yourself by color coding. For instance, if your heart rate monitor is saying you're working yourself at 90%+, it'll be shaded RED. If your instructor tells you to run and get into the red zone, you adjust your treadmill to the speed you can perform at that level. It's very catered to your body and capabilities. --OVERALL-- The class itself is fantastic and I liked our instructor. She came around to check our forms and pushed us hard the whole way through. I wish the facility didn't have such a cramped space and the bathrooms being so inconveniently located.
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Such a great workout. I had been to other circuit workouts and sometimes there are too many students to coach. This had about 10 students to 2 coaches, and it was perfect to watch for our form, and to push us. I liked the heart rate monitors that we put on our arms. I was able to tell if I was striving enough and how hard I was working. The tv monitors with our names on it was motivational and I liked the instructors a lot for their inclusiveness and attentiveness.
google avatar

Wei L.

Yelp
The studio was on the Main street and parking is easy to find. 2 hours meter parking all around. The studio provides clean towels and a heart rate monitor which you can buy or rent. It is a HIIT workout, 2 min intervals, the treadmills are on one side of the studio and the 10 stations/floor work are on another side/around of the studio. Each station has a little monitor to demo the moves. The bathroom is clean, lots of supplies. There were other trainers beside the main instructor helped to adjust forms and very friendly. The TVs on the walls showed results during the workout by names. In the end, showed summery by each person. The floor is kind of hard and during the class, I worried about my knees. I wish that were pads to use throughout the class, not only at the end of the class when stretching.

Yelp
A cool, high tech workout without being completely over the top. Circuits and running are my two workouts of choice, so I'm happy to have found this welcoming gym that combines the two. I signed up on ClassPass and suggest showing up 10-15 minutes before your first class here. The front desk staff is super kind and will help get you all set up with your waiver, photo, heart rate monitor, and an informational video. The gal at the desk then walked me into the workout room and showed me where I could leave my phone, grab a towel, and get started. I took Sean's class and he did a great job of both explaining things before the workout and keeping everyone motivated throughout class. Class starts with a treadmill and body weight warm up and then splits into two groups: floor and treadmill. There are about ten exercises on the floor that range in focus--if you're confused as to what you should be doing, they have an ipad showing you the move and even give weight suggestions. I especially liked the treadmill portions which surprised me, as I usually hate treadmills. Instructors here have to organize and motivate a bunch of people doing different things at the same time--Sean made it look easy (and had killer music to make it all more fun). The heart rate monitors are pretty cool and show you how hard you're working throughout class. I honestly didn't pay much attention to the scenes during class as I wasn't sure what the points meant, but I love that they send you a post-class recap so you can take a closer look. The metrics here make it really easy to set goals and see improvement. I could definitely see myself getting a full membership here--thanks for an awesome first class, Circuit Works!
google avatar

Angel B.

Yelp
Love love love Circuit Works!!!! Especially RAPHAEL. I used to come here before Covid and stopped when Covid hit. I am now back and after being here for just two classes, Raphael has encouraged me to go beyond my limits and I am starting to become more confident because of him! Great combination of cardio and weights. Their music is always on point and you can easily find street parking. Can't wait to get toned after a long year! Definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Angela R.

Yelp
Fabulous workout with a friendly front desk staff and fun, entertaining instructor named Sean. My first clue that I would like this place was when I went in on my ClassPass membership for the first time and after trying to get the heart monitor thing to comfortably fit around my torso and not succeeding, they didn't mind if i just didn't wear it. I'm not a fan of gadgets when I work out. That being said, you are supposed to wear it, but I loved that they didn't give me a hard time about not doing so. The inside of the studio is small and easy to navigate around and the class is a one hour circuit workout in which you go from station to station and alternate with running on the treadmill. It felt very individual so you could just focus on yourself and get a great workout in. At the same time, you are working out with a group so there's that group mind and motivation. Plus, they pack a lot into the hour, so you're not aimlessly wasting time. I loved it! A little bonus is the fully stocked bathroom toiletries section. There's no shower per se, but I was impressed by the offerings for freshening up after class...and the floor! I want! See my pic for more. They give you a towel to use during your workout and sell water. I think if you check in on Facebook they even give you free water! They definately give you a free bottle for your first class!

Yelp
MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES!!! As a veteran of Orangetheory, I've heard from their classes hundreds and hundreds of times- DO NOT JUMP OFF YOUR TREADS WHILE THEY ARE STILL RUNNING!!! In a HIIT class where people are switching from the floor workouts back to the treads, it's super dangerous for both people sharing a treadmill if someone jumps off while it's still going. Well being that there was no announcement made like this of any sort, and the instructor didn't even make the people stop their treadmills to watch his half assed demo... I got hurt. The guy who I shared a treadmill with left it running and in the daze of a hard workout I went to jump on... and fell down hard and my water bottle went flying into the girl who was running on her treadmill next to me. It was so sad that I had to ask the instructor to say something to the guy and make an announcement to the class. He said something to the guy and without an announcement to the entire class about how dangerous it is- of course the guy did it again. The instructor encouraged me to stay in class and just take it easy, yet his assistant kept coming up to correct my form... I finally said I was in pain and to back off. I really enjoy the pace of this class, the studio and the instructors even... However, I feel that their lack of safety announcements and policies are what is causing them to struggle!! That isn't the instructors fault, it's the gyms fault and to make matters worse-- there was no incident report taken on my behalf, no phone call the next day to see if I was okay... nothing. Overall, I'm sad it happened and hope this message increases safety measures in the future.

Yelp
If the owner's character reflects on his company you can be assured to be in great hands. This man is an angel and deserves the best. This is a great franchise opportunity with someone you can trust. Thank you!

Yelp
I took two classes here at Circuit Works. The one hour class consists of alternating between the treadmill and work out stations to high energy music. There are screens on top of the treadmills that shows images of what each station consists of. Circuit Works is fairly small with one room and a restroom. They also provide lockers for personal belongings and provide towels as well. During my first class, I was completely lost. I'm new to this whole interval/circuit training type of workout. I didn't even know how to navigate the treadmill options. As for the work out stations, I had to keep referencing the screens on the wall for each work out station. Stations consisted of weight and resistance training. The second time around, the class was at capacity. I was still lost at some stations because I didn't know how to use the equipment and had to flag over the instructor for help. Overall, I can see how people would be a fan of this place. In one hour, you can get an entire body workout to super fun music and high energy. It is definitely a fun place to change up your workout from your typical gym routine. However, I can't see myself taking a class here no more than once a week and Circuit Works is quite costly. It also would have also been nice if they provided some type of quick intro for newbies. As a warning, parking is tough! There is a free public parking lot across the street, but it is always full. Your best bet is to come early and scout for metered or residential parking.

Yelp
I took classes here when I lived in the area 10 years ago. I have unsubscribed from their email list multiple times and sent their emails to my spam folder in Gmail, but they keep emailing me! Ten years! Jerks.

Yelp
Worst experience at a gym. I decided to try it out via Class Pass as I LOVE training at Orange Theory and HIIT training in general, and was hoping to find a closer gym. Big mistake. I was given no orientation upon arriving for my first class and therefore had no idea what to expect from the flow of class. Once class began I could barely understand the trainer on the mic. About 10 minutes in she came to correct me during which time I told her I was given no instructions on how to go about class prior to it starting. She tried to be helpful from that point on, but again, I couldn't hear her clearly on the mic. She also kept calling me "babe" and "darling" which was not appropriate given I was already close to walking out. I decided to stick it out, wanting a good workout. I did sweat. Too much. There were no fans or AC on. In a tiny space. With about 15 people sweating. There were no wet wipes being used between equipment swaps. Just old rags. Everything was dirty and smelly. And everyone's treadmills were breaking throughout class. The treads also has no way to change speeds and incline quickly, you have to hold the arrow down which is counter-productive to interval training and fast-paced classes. The weights were color coded but did not just say on them how heavy they were. Overall I found this to just be one of the worst experiences ever at a gym. No clue where they're getting the good reviews from. Especially at the price they're charging. Go someplace else.

Sandie B.

Yelp
I'm completely addicted to this workout now. I'm not sure I've ever sweated so much in my life. 90 seconds sprinting on the treadmill seems like no big deal...until you're doing it for like the 3rd or 4th time. The class is super high energy, the music is great, and the workout seems to get almost every muscle as you rotate from station.

Liz C.

Yelp
Great studio!! I've searched around for work outs that challenge me and are beneficial to my well being. Nothing beats this place! Wonderful energy. Clean facility.

Yelp
I hate running. It is the absolute worst. But if you want a banging slim physique, you do it anyway, right? Well, I was pleasantly surprised that Circuit Works incorporates this dreaded-yet-necessary torture exercise in a really fun and efficient manner. Today was my first class that I attended through Classpass. You show up early, sign the waiver and watch a short little tutorial with cheerful people exercising. I had to rewind the video and rewatch a few parts because I was so distracted by watching the previous class seemingly suffer through the glass doors. You get a free heart rate monitor with your first class and then it's $3 to rent / $60 to purchase. I ended up not even using mine during the class because it kept coming undone. We then met our sweet and energetic instructor and got a brief explanation of each station. Each station has a number and video of the exercise so that you know what you're doing. You rotate through stations (ours included TRX mountain climbers, weighted pushups, seated pullups, battle ropes to name a few), short bursts of (almost!!!) painless running, and group exercises (squats, abs, high knees). Ten second breaks were spaced every minute or so to prevent hurling. As someone who definitely would not survive any sort of apocalyptic zombie situation or a military draft, bootcamp type cardio classes are not appealing to me at all. But I'm so happy to say that I could definitely see myself coming here 3x a week and am excited for my next class!

Yelp
1. The workouts are very efficient - I typically burn about 850-950 calories in one hour. 2. The instructors are great, and they have a variety of training styles. 3. The times are convenient for me, especially early AM. 4. Very close to my home.

Yelp
Used to be amazing. Now ok. If you are seriously training for an event it's not for you. The system now discourages running, and the challenging treadmill portions are now substituted with either squats, abs, or whatever the trainer feels like doing. I started here many years ago, and with the departure of some of the serious athletic trainers, I've had to move on. I understand it's a great place for some, but there are other studios that are a little more hard-core and encourage people to push themselves on the treadmill rather than avoid it. When my knees hurt, I was instructed to walk uphill with weights as an option. The only option now is just don't do it..

Yelp
I am horrified at this place. Jibril should be fired. I was in his class last night. he is mask-less and screamed at girls walking by who asked him to put his mask on. He is standing in middle of sidewalk yelling with no mask. I left after class and hope everyone there is safe. There is nothing safe here. No spacing in classes. no masks on teacher and they should be shut down. I couldn't wait to finish last night and escape his verbal abuse. I called the gym twice to talk to manager. No return calls

Yelp
I am a big fan of Circuit Works. I started attending classes here when they were first located on Abbot Kinney in 2008. I have gone on and off since then due to my changing work schedule. What I do love is that they offer a 5:25am class that still gives me the opportunity to get my workout in before my workday starts. I find that the class format offers a good mixture of cardio and strength to help me achieve optimal results. It's good for beginners and advanced as you can ultimately decide the pace you want to set for yourself each class and hold yourself accountable for the results. Parking can be tricky here on weekends and later in the day as it is all meter/street parking. This is also why the morning classes are ideal. More parking spaces available.

Yelp
I recently quit Equinox to join Classpass and classes like this are what made me happy I did. This workout is a mix of cardio (quick intervals on the treadmill) and weights training. They have an intro video that explains the high-tech gym setup. There are little video screens around the room at each workout station that show the exercise at you should be doing as well as the recommended weight or resistance to use. Pros: Intro video, clear instructions per exercise, fast-paced, cardio mixed with weight training, involved trainers Cons: Sometimes the transitions were so fast I did not feel I got the best workout for the muscle group.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! I come via ClassPass and I almost always use up my 3 classes/month. It's a very high intensity workout, and even though I HATE running, the running portion is only about 2-3 minutes long, so it's bearable and necessary to burn those calories and keep my heart rate up. Sean is by far my favorite trainer. He makes working out fun and is it weird that I kind of wanna be BFFs with him? Highly highly recommend this place. Good for beginners as they'll make sure you know how to properly do all the movements.

Yelp
This is my favorite studio in LA. The classes are always killer and the instructors are all amazing. It's great for all levels because you can kind of take it at your own pace. First month unlimited is $79 and it's definitely worth it!! Love the location as it's right next to Dogtown Coffee.

Yelp
Decided to try out circuit works without really understanding the format. For me, the workout felt toooo rushed. I wasn't a fan of the very short circuits. There were a few exercises that took more time in setting up and getting form right. By the time I got it down, it was time to move on. The reason for the 4 stars (vs 3) - the instructor (Sean). He was funny, engaging and had amazing energy. Bottom line- reason for not returning is preference. I prefer Barry's or Burn 60 much more. Neither workout feel as rushed and I definitely experience a more invigorating and effective workout.

Yelp
The BEST workout ever!!! I'm definitely sold on this place! I was greeted by Rachel who is so friendly and helpful in explaining things. Chelsea was the trainer and she was amazing! Great energy and so patient with me! It's definitely different. I love the fact that you are wearing a heart monitor so you can watch your rate throughout the class on a big screen. All the workouts are explained on an iPad at each station. SO SIMPLE. I did get lost two times (LOL!) but I got a hang of it with Chelsea's help! You're on a treadmill for a couple minutes, then at a station, back on the treadmill, then another station. It was fast paced but yet you're in control of your own pace. 1 hour went by so quickly and I felt like I got the full body workout that I never seem to get on my own at the gym. Easy meter parking. Suggestion- come a few minutes early.

Yelp
My absolute favorite workout! I've tried a couple of other studios and always end up coming back here. Nic, Scott & Chris are great at making sure your form is correct and motivating you throughout the workout. I've taken classes with some of the other trainers here and wasn't as impressed so highly recommend these guys, especially if its your first time!! 10 stations & treadmill runs in between - hour flies by and you walk out feeling amazing!

Yelp
Omgosh, I loved this class. Let's be real tho - I was straight up nervous before I walked in. Idk what it is but just hearing "circuit training" kind of intimidates me. But I've had some good experience at other studios so I thought I'd give this place a try. I took Sean's Sunday morning class. I hadn't worked out since Thursday and you know that feeling you get when you take an extra rest day & you just want to sleep in and not work out again today? Well that was definitely me this morning but thankfully ClassPass charges me $20 if I miss so I forced myself up and went. (Plus I knew deep inside that I never regret a work out) I walked in and was warmly greeted by the two lovely ladies at the front desk, making me feel very welcomed. I even sensed the excitement they had since I was new. While I was filling out the contact sheet, I took note on how they greeted each person who walked in and even knew some of them by name. Everyone seemed to be excited for class which made me feel more at ease. After I signed the waiver, they had me watch a 2 1/2 minute video on how the class would be like. Brilliant - I hate walking in to something clueless. When I finally got into the room, Sean introduced himself and led me into the direction I needed to go. Some people were on the treadmills, warming up their bodies while some were stretching on the mats. Since the treadmills were full, I picked a mat and started warming up. Then, the fun began. If you haven't read their description: this is a class where there are 10 stations (I believe the stations change every week) and you alternate between stations & treadmills. He shows you how to use all the stations in the beginning but there are screens by the treadmills w pictures/videos on how each station works for reference. There are also recommendations on weights for each station (of course, you can adjust based on your level) so everything is very understandable. The treadmills is also a whole other world. Where every 30 seconds to somewhere over a minute, he'll give you a different incline and speed (generally - you still choose according to your level). Challenging, but a good one. And the breaks between each segment is enough for you to not feel like you're going to die lmao which you sometimes get at other places. Sean was amazing. So lively, energetic & motivating. He really knows how to encourage you to push yourself to do your best. They also have white towels for you to use during class & black towels to clean stations. OHH & the music selection is awesome. Totally appropriate & heart pumping. Loved it. Great class, I'll definitely be back & I highly recommend
