Great location, walking distance to many tourist sites. Across the street from Holborn tube station. Many grocery and restaurants available nearby. Great customer service. Since it is an apart-hotel, there is not daily housekeeping, but fresh towels, toilet rolls, and trash sacks are available any time in the laundry room. The kitchen is well-equipped and the refrigerator in a good size for a hotel. Laundry room was easy to use and the dryers work too! Good wifi. Good customer service.

Good location but …. Beds joined with a big crevice. If you have a bad back the topper they use is flimsy. Raised it with desk staff and they were uncaring to say the least I would say the female receptionist was rude. Eventually a quilt chucked over the base which radiates heat as a temporary solution. Then there was the dripping shower all night. Reported at check in and ignored. Thin walls and floors so here every noise and murmur and I’m not a light sleeper All in all not a relaxing place. Would not recommend. Staff average and not value for money and definitely guaranteed no sleep.

Very convenient for Covent Garden, Inns of Court, reasonable walk to Bloomsbury. The studios have a well-stocked kitchenette, and there is a Waitrose convenience shop across the street. Laundry facilities are available as well. Ship Tavern, reviewed separately, is very close for a pub evening or a fine dinner upstairs. Would stay again.

My friend and I recently spent a week in London during which we enjoyed five plays, good food, sightseeing, and a great stay at Citidines Holborn. The well-connected tube station is almost across the street, as are two grocery stores, a bakery, pubs, a bank, and coffee shop. The people at reception were friendly and helpful. On our last day they stored our luggage until late afternoon. Our one bedroom suite (601) was perfect. Recently refurbished, the room seemed brand new and very clean and quiet. We had a simple daily breakfast and a few late dinners prepared in our kitchenette. Plenty of new pots and pans and dishware. Coffee machines are in the lobby. Lots of accessible electrical and device outlets throughout. A comfortable pull out sofa in the living/kitchenette area and a king bed in the room. The bathroom was large and bright. Sure, we'd have a few suggestions for shelving here and there, but that did not overshadow everything that was just right about staying here.

I recently stayed at Citadines in Holborn and was thoroughly impressed by its **excellent location**, modern amenities, and attentive service. Nestled in the heart of London, this hotel is a perfect base for both leisure and business travelers. **Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** The hotel’s location is unbeatable! It’s just a short walk from the Holborn Underground station, making it easy to explore central London. The British Museum, Covent Garden, and vibrant West End theaters are all within walking distance, along with countless restaurants and cafes. Whether you’re here for sightseeing or work, the convenience can’t be overstated. **Rooms & Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** My room was **spotlessly clean**, thoughtfully designed, and surprisingly quiet despite the central location. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the modern decor gave the space a fresh, welcoming feel. **Amenities & Extras ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** The hotel offers fantastic perks that elevate the stay: - **Free coffee/tea station** in the lobby (a lifesaver for early mornings or late-night work sessions!). - **Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi** that worked seamlessly throughout the property. - A laundry room for your washing needs.- Friendly staff who were always ready to assist. **Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** The staff were genuinely warm and professional.**Final Thoughts** outstanding value for its prime location, cleanliness, and thoughtful amenities. If you’re looking for a hassle-free stay in London with the perks of a central hub, this is the place. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting the city! *Pro tip: Don’t miss the free coffee—it’s a great way to start your day before heading out to explore!*

All good! The room, location and service! The room comes with a small kitchen but well equipped for light cooking. Hotel provides free coffee and tea near reception. Few minutes walk to tube station, with many restaurant and groceries around. Absolutely convenient. We arrived early in the morning after long flight and glad that the hotel allowed early check in without any charges.

Great staff! Great room! Incredible location! I've stayed here before and will do so again. Having a late-night Sainsbury's as you exit Holborn Station and a Waitrose directly opposite the hotel made having the kitchenette a super amenity. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to literally dozens of attractions and shopping destinations, and there are too many restaurants and pubs to visit in one visit. The staff were kind and courteous. Using the luggage storage after checkout was easy and secure.

Did not stay at the hotel, but attended business meetings in their conference rooms. The service at front desk is very poor. One front desk agent who seems new is eager to assist customers while the other woman behind the desk seems completely unfriendly as if she does not want to be there. The rooms have not consideration for health and safety - cables and wires for screen / presenter. All in all, would not recommend.

Yelp
Booked/requested two rooms, both with two twin beds. We were given two rooms with one double each at check-in. I returned to the front desk and explained that being 7-mo pregnant, I needed my own bed which is why we booked the two twins to begin with. The girl at the desk offered a rollaway/cot and claimed they were fully committed and had no rooms available with two beds in them. As I was insisting she find a way to make it comfortable and right, another staff member, Henock, intervened. He asked me to wait while he checked with housekeeping to get a room with two beds cleaned. Sure enough, about 20minutes later, we were moved to rooms with two beds. He was understanding, graceful and apologetic. Had he not stepped in when he did, we would have left the hotel. The first associate was less than helpful and not very kind. Everything else is average - comfortable, but by no means luxurious. They don't offer housekeeping/turndown service unless you stay a week or longer, which doesn't seem sensible.

Yelp
Worst experience ever- made my reservation online where the property photos looked nice and clean. It is a scam! I checked in to realize the mold and grease stains everywhere in my room have been built up for years. Extremely disgusting! Went to the front desk in the morning to get help but a lady named Diane refused to talk claiming to be busy yet I could see her doing nothing through the glass door. What a disappointment. PS I paid more than if I were to stay at a Hyatt group hotel etc.

Yelp
I ended up here for a night somewhat accidentally. My friend had booked it but had a family emergency so couldn't make it and it was non-refundable...so she put me on the booking! It's an apart'hotel offering studio and one bed suites. Looking at prices, it seems that a studio would run one approximately £210-£250/night midweek in October and a one bed apartment would be £311. I emailed re the change of occupier and Viviana was super helpful. I was still a bit nervous that it would all go horribly wrong prior to arrival though and was prepared to head back to Birmingham. As it happens, I somehow ended up with an upgrade to a one bed apartment which is something that simply never happens to me usually! The reception was warm and the girl I dealt with was very pleasant. In fact, everyone I encountered there was really friendly and helpful. It was refreshing! Location is great-pretty much across the road from Holborn tube exit onto High Holborn and surrounded by restaurants and shops. My room was #501. The one bed apartments consist of a kitchen cum living room, bedroom, bath, separate toilet and hall storage cupboard. It's well set up for self catering with microwave, hob, dishwasher, fridge, iron, ironing board etc. Wifi is free and fast. A huge TV in the living room has all the Freeview channels and there is a small TV in the bedroom too. Storage would be a bit tight for someone with any reasonable amount of baggage but there is a luggage room downstairs. I used it after checking out but would think it's available for residents too. The bed was comfy and I slept like the dead. There's a pull-out sofa bed in the living room so it would sleep 4 in total. Loved the free coffee downstairs in the lounge and the bowl of apples in the room. Continental breakfast probably isn't worth the price. There's a cute little gym to use and a laundry room so it would really be great for an extended stay (apart from the in-suite storage) Negatives: getting a bit worn-the plunger for my bathroom sink was broken and the sink drained very slowly. The mantel and lamp in the living room were quite dusty too-like a few week's worth. Not very encouraging and not what I would expect given the price. There also wasn't any shower gel in the bottle attached to the wall. Disappointing little details.

Yelp
Hard to find much to like about this hotel. My room is cold - 58 degrees. All day the heating system has tried to make it warmer. Not much luck. The room is drab and dreary. Average bedding. Little natural light. The bathroom offers one bottle of "all over shampoo". No soap. No regular shampoo and conditioner. Flimsy towels. Shower head fell down repeatedly. A heated towel rack that after 30 minutes still offered no warming. A hair dryer that only blew cool air. Internet is spotty. A good coffee machine in the lobby! It's about $300 USD for a small room in Covent Garden area. Inexpensive for London. But I've stared at comparably priced London hotels that were much much better than this.

Yelp
The rooms are not great. The cleaning schedule is limited which is okay, but whenever they are cleaned, they are not cleaned well. There was a stain on the carpet in the living room for god knows how long. The toilet is separate from the bathroom but has no sink or exhaust. You have to walk all the way to the bathroom to wash your hands. Quite disgusting! The shower has a terribly dirty shower curtain which keeps sticking to you when you shower. The shower itself is awful - it either scalds you or pelts you with cold water. The shower stall has mold spots. The room had a lot of internal noises which kept waking me up. The plusses: staff is friendly, the hotel is centrally located, breakfast fare is good. If you get a great price on the rooms and don't care about a lot of these issues, it could be a convenient stay.

Yelp
If anyone qualifies to review this hotel, it's me. I stayed at the Citadines Apart-Hotel Holborn/Covent Garden for 6 weeks while studying abroad in London one summer not too long ago. It's very affordable, and it's right in the center of things. Walking distance to Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus and countless pubs and restaurants, it wasn't the most luxurious, but I was happy where I was. Rooms are cleaned weekly. Breakfast out for you to grab each morning until 9AM. I hardly ever made that...did I mention London has a great pub/club/nightlife scene? When I did drag myself out of bed, they had eggs to boil, bread to toast and chocolate croissants to devour. And there was coffee. Essential. It's also literally right next door to Pizza Express. A London staple (at least for me while there). I wouldn't recommend staying here as long as I did, but it was pre-arranged through my university and was definitely good enough. My only real problem with the place came on my final night there. My flight back to San Francisco was canceled due to terrorists plotting to blow it (and several others) up over the Atlantic. [Yes, the reason you can no longer fly with large amounts of liquid, gel, etc.] Suffice it to say, the front desk staff found me an available room for two extra (unplanned) nights, but were incredibly rude about it when I was obviously a little freaked out. Assuming terrorists don't strike, I'd definitely recommend this Apart-Hotel.

Yelp
Bathrooms in two rooms (the first was so bad they changed us) are disgusting and full of black mold. We were instructed to pack and they would change us again, instead they decided to just caulk over the worst of the mold, leave the rest and stick us with the same room. Thanks for wasting my time packing an entire family in the morning instead of enjoying the city. The tiled areas are disgusting, the toilets don't flush properly and a stench of stale urine in the loo. If the visible areas are this bad imagine how cleanly the bedding and carpet is.

Yelp
Citadines Holborn-Covent garden is a very convenient hotel. Very well located, just 2-3minutes of walk to holborn subway. The neighbourhood is nice, starbucks, sainsburry's (supermarket), pizza express, krispy kreme, pharmacy. The room is clean ans tidy. Convenient is a fine world to describe It. Little kitchen. Dishwasher, small fridge. Sofa bed. Queen size bed. Small TV. Bath tube and separated toilet. It is good of you want to stay a few nights and want to be able to cook some food in your room.

Yelp
A good hotel: a very good ubication, is near the tube (central line and picadilly line) and you can have breakfast at the hotel. In front the hotel you have a pharmacy and a supermarket. One of the problem is that the rooms are smaller.

John B.

Yelp
Made me wait for my room, telling me and many other guest that their rooms would not be ready till 3:00 because of housekeeping. This is interesting since they don't clean the rooms every day, so unless the entire hotel emptied on the same day they wouldn't have the same challenge a hotel that does clean the rooms every day. They sent me an email a few days before my stay asking if I wanted early check in, and notwithstanding me responding that I did, here I sit in the lobby after being up over 24 hours waiting for a room.

Yelp
Location great but poor value for money - almost $300 for one night in what felt like someone's office, with sweeping views of a very busy waste disposal facility.

Yelp
I stayed here for business purposes last year. It was amazing! I really love the idea of having your own little apartment rather than staying in a hotel. The lobby of Citadines was really smart and had a great feel to it. Reception staff were very friendly. The apartment itself was large with a double bedroom, toilet, bathroom, living area and small kitchen. Everything was very comfy, clean and well kept. There was a TV and DVD player and the kitchen was fully stocked with all crockery and utensils. The apartements are ideally located on High Holborn, just opposite from the tube station with plenty of shops and restaurants around. It's a really nice area. Also available is room service - there's a menu in the apartment and you ring a central number, choosing food from a wide range of restaurants across London. It's then delivered to your door. Great value and I would recommend this Citadines to anyone.

Yelp
Bouquets:Great location with Holborn station less than 5 mins walk away. Proximity to Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, supermarket, pharmacy, eateries like Kimchee (Korean), Starbucks, itsu (jap), pret a manger etc. onsite laundrette with dryer, free coffee making machine available 24/7, gym. Warm, friendly front desk. Brickbats: stayed here for 9 nights & wifi was hopeless; had to keep asking for password everyday cos apparently it resets itself every night. No housekeeping if you stay between 0-4 nights; it comes only on 4th night if u stay longer. Something to consider if you're the type who expects beds made and bins emptied. Be prepared to clear your own bins. Place is small for family of 4, even 2 adults, 2 older children as there's only 1 double bed in the bedroom and a narrow sofa bed in the narrow living room/ kitchenette. 1 toilet & 1 separate bathroom. Hardly any place to move if you have big luggage. Quite quiet but hallways can be noisy if people talk and walk past. Great place if location is important but better off getting 2 BR in hotel cos hard to share facilities among 4 people in an apartment without daily housekeeping.
