Citadines Apart'hotel Michel Hamburg

Four of us stayed for 2 nights in mid September. Room was big enough, light and airy, very quiet and spotless. Beds, including the sofa bed, were superbly comfortable. Really good to have a separate toilet, with basin, to the bathroom. Plenty of storage spaces and a TV in both the bedroom and living room. We didn't use the kitchenette but it seemed well equipped with enough plates, pots, cooking utensils etc. We felt the place had been really well designed and that the needs of guests had been really thought about, even down to the disposable non-slip mat in the bathroom! Really appreciated free tea and coffee always available on the ground floor and a vending machine for beer, soft drinks and snacks.We didn't have much to do with the reception staff, but they were very friendly on arrival and departure and told us to phone down should we need anything at all. Hotel very well located for central Hamburg.

Well located, clean and comfortable with good sized rooms and functional kitchenette (inc dishwasher). Our room was by a busy road, but the soundproofing is good, so we didn’t have a problem with noise. Nice to have coffee/tea available in reception 24/7.|The studio- sized apartment isn’t ideal if you are planning to eat in a lot - only one chair, and one comfy chair.

Had a really pleasant stay at this hotel with my family. Was a really clean and nice experience, and at a great location with easy access to walk around the city. I'm glad we got a room at the back of the hotel, as the traffic outside was still briefly audible during the night/morning. Have nothing bad to say except that there was no bacon on the breakfast, and by this my kid (11 yrs) didn't want to eat anything because he was so disappointed (and I was also quite disappointed). Serving international breakfast with scramble eggs but no bacon is a big warning sign, when it comes to revisit or recommend a hotel to someone. A big plus for the free coffee which was really good, and the hot chocolate which my kid enjoyed very much.

We want to Hamburg to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was very kind to give us surprised anniversary gift. The room was big and clean. The hotel location is good, just few steps to the Portuguese quarter where we can find delicious dinings. Highly recommend!

Appreciated healthy breakfast options, cleanliness, kettle, safe, morning desk staff, comfortable bed & pillows, location walkable to sites. Waited about 30 minutes upon arrival for any staff to appear in lobby. With that, there could be security concerns as the front door was opening for anyone. Then was given room whose connection to TV was down & had light fixtures that didn't work making room too dark to do work. So had to repack everything & move. Moved to room on 1st floor off the 6 lane traffic on street. Despite the check in & room issues, they wanted to charge me more for a room off the street.

Nice hotel in the city center with everything in walking distance. Dog friendly, you have to pay a bit extra for the cleaning. Seeing a lovely dog package with treats is a very nice extra welcome present.

Nice hotel, great location, great personnel,great amenities, free coffee and still water 24/7.

This place robs you blind, it's been several years since I was robbed from this location. I still have not heard from their "investigation team."

Caution! WARNING! MONEY STOLEN! THIEVES!! The staff stole our money, over $6000 from our rooms! We had a wedding party in Hamburg and decided to stay in this hotel. All of our money was stolen, from multiple rooms. The hotel never acknowledged the fact that their employees stole. They did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. This hotel robbed us. Even the children's money, as little as it was, was all stolen. They spared no one! Don't come here, your money and valuables will not be safe, not in their rooms or the safe they provide. When we contacted the manager, he yelled at us and was extremely unprofessional. Proof that they stole: The hotel has keycards where they can check who entered our rooms. But the hotel refused to show us the key card log history. The manager said he will give the login history to the police, however he never did. They needed to cover for the staff that stole. Their reluctance to show the login history instead of cooperating was shocking. There are so many hotels in Hamburg, go somewhere else where your stuff will be safe and your trip will not be ruined. This is the worst hotel we all have ever been to. Citadines is a terrible hotel chain with thieves and horrible management.

To All Yelpers: *Do yourself a favor by AVOIDING THIS PLACE* While traveling in Germany, my family and I stayed at this hotel and it was the worst experience. The hotel staff did not care to provide any sort of customer satisfaction. Prime example: I witnessed the hotel staff willingly giving out key cards to rooms without even checking the customer's identification to see if they are on the reservation. They just asked for the room number and then gave the key. How could anyone feel comfortable, safe, or secure after witnessing this?! To make matters worse, valuables went missing from our room. At the very end of our stay, we met with the manager of the hotel, which left a lasting impression of disgust. The audacity he had to bypass our complaint, rather leads straight to blame. The "prime representative" of this hotel lacks the qualities and characteristics to even call themselves a manager. It would be believed that as a guest of a hotel, you should be treated as if you were VIP, or at the very least, you should be treated with decency and respect as a purchasing customer. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Citadines. After the treatment received at Citadines, I would never stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it, and in-fact I am warning future travelers to avoid this place.

Outstanding! My wife & I were just passing through but needed a place for the evening and we loved this little apartment style room. Would definitely stay again!
