Citadines Connect Sydney Airport

Usually, travellers choose to stay in the hotels near the airport, which may be in time with the flight; but for us, it’s mainly for visiting our family who lives in the city centre. Because the hotels in the city centre were very expensive during the time we visited, do we chose to stay in the airport area and we picked this hotel in Mascot. The check-in counter of this hotel is on the top floor, and the restaurant and bar are all on this floor. Be sure you spend sometime visiting the cafe on this floor as the view is so good. Check-in was fast. If you need to park your car like us, you also need to pay for parking here. It costs 35 Australian dollars per night. The room is nice and clean and we stayed for three nights. The next day, we found that there was no room cleaning service, so we called the front desk to inquire. As a result, if we found out that if you want your room to be serviced, you need to inform the front desk to arrange it. Everyone who stay for more than one night and need this service should pay attention to this. The price per night does not include breakfast, but the price is still cheaper than other hotels near the airport. In addition, it is not too far from the railway station, and it is convenient to go to the city. Give it a try if you are looking for staying in Mascot.

Fine for overnight stays if you need to get on an early flight. The first room they gave us was very small, and smelt strongly of sewage. The room doors and corridors could definitely use some paint, very chipped and old. They were happy to move us to a different room, which was fine anger didn’t smell. Being a wheelchair accessible room, it was larger. The room was clean and the bar and eating area accommodated well for self catering people as well as those buying at the cafe. No freshly cooked food here-all prepared sandwiches and meals in the fridge. For the price and our need for a simple clean room with a bed to sleep in, it was fine.

Everything you need for an overnight stay close to the airport. Our room was spotlessly cleaned, excellent mattress & pillows. Not noisy even though it’s directly under the flight path. Bit of a hike from Mascot train station, but we caught a taxi across the road. Short walk to Mascot shops with a variety of restaurants and cafes. My wife booked it so I assume it’s good value.

This is a lovely hotel that used to be a Felix when it first opened. The rooms are set up like airplane classes, first, business, prem economy and economy. The hotel itself is a nice hotel to stay at but the best feature is the rooftop bar/lounge check in area. It has amazing views over both the airport and an open deck looking back towards Sydney city. Grab a coffee or beer and sit in the suspended egg chairs and watch planes take off and land all day ✈️ 🍻

I had a pleasant stay at Citadines Sydney. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and budget-friendly — perfect for a convenient city stay. The location made it easy to get around and explore Sydney, and overall it was a great value for money experience. Would definitely consider staying here again.

This hotel has a lot of advantages, a great brand, location and design. The reception and food services are on the top floor with a great view over the airport. ||It has been our favourite hotel near the airport and we have stayed here several times. ||On this visit we were surprised at how run down it is. The first room we were sent to had drains that smelt. It also had rubbish in the corridor and the corridor had not been vacuumed. ||We paid to upgrade to a business room. It has holes in the carpet, the lounge chairs are stained and it has not been well cleaned. ||It is time to improve the cleaning and refurbish the rooms.

The location of this hotel is ideal if you want to be close to the airport. It’s a short stroll to Sydney airport. Services are good. The room I was in had an awfully unclean bathroom. That was a real put off for me. The room was dated and small. However, the bed was comfortable. For me, the state of the bathroom is enough to make me not book there again.

Citadines is conveniently located, is a short ride from the airport, and Mascot train station. We found the hotel chic, clean and comfortable with spectacular views! They even have a viewing deck in the reception area. The in-room ironing facilities were most appreciated. It is within walking distance to a handful of eateries and also has an in-house restaurant should you not want to venture outside. My only suggestion for improvement would be the inclusion of additional shower amenities such as toothbrush or shower cap. We would absolutely choose to stay here again in the future.
