Wrap up 2024 in style with Ascott Star Rewards - SilverKris

"Located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, this serviced apartment provides the flexibility of apartment-style stays while putting guests within reach of the city's thriving arts and food scenes; in summer it serves as a convenient base for day trips to Mornington Peninsula rock pools (Sorrento Back Beach and Blairgowrie, about 90 minutes by car) and for visiting cultural highlights such as the National Gallery of Victoria." - SilverKris

Dear Foteni and the Citadines Front Desk Team, I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service I received during my recent stay. A special thank you goes to Foteni, whose incredible knowledge of the city landmarks made my sightseeing experience seamless and memorable. Her passion for the city is evident, and her personalized recommendations for nearby restaurants were absolutely spot on. It made a huge difference having local expertise to guide my dining choices. The entire front desk team was professional, welcoming, and always ready to help. You all truly enhanced my visit, and I look forward to staying with you again in the future. Warm regards, Nicholas H

Perfect location for our 5 night stay. Bed was super comfortable, very clean apartment with everything you could need( aside from laundry facilities) service was great. Pool and sauna were enjoyable. Tram stop right outside the front door and plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Great place to stay and enjoy Melbourne.

Overall a really nice experience. My partner and I are from country Victoria and booked a little weekend away. We arrived early (around 12pm) and obviously were unable to check in so left our bags. We returned around 1.45pm planning to hang out in the lobby until 2pm, which on multiple emails is reiterated as the check in time. I work in accommodation myself so just before 2pm I asked to check in and was told the room was not ready. I wasn’t completely shocked - again I work in this industry. I was told there were maintenance checks being done on the room. Around 2.15pm I asked them again if it was ready, and was told by the same receptionist I had been dealing with that no it wasn’t - she wasn’t able to move us. She said to give her a few minutes. Another half an hour later I went back up and got another receptionist who said she complimentary upgraded our room and was able to check us in now. Both of them were not rude and quite lovely but it was a shame that we respected the check in time of 2pm and were not able to check in until after 3pm. Nice location with Russel street tram stop out the front and close to Melbourne central. Rooms are lovely and clean and spacious

Not your average hotel, looks like an apartment building as you enter. I picked a very busy time of year to stay as most guests where like me, there for the ACDC concert. No early check in but a smooth one. Warm and friendly. The room was spacious and had a kitchenett area.Nice comfry bed and couch. Huge shower. Great water pressure, fast hot water. Wifi great. Great location. Tram stop right outside hotel. Train station 5 minutes walk. Was suprised how quiet it was at night for a hotel on such a busy spot. Highy recommend people stay there

From the moment we checked in for 3 nights of Mum & Daughter time we had nothing but good experiences at the Hotel. The reception staff were lovely & seemed to genuinely care for their guests happiness. The room was great & the pool & sauna were fantastic. The hotel’s location is also great as there is a tram stop right outside & it’s also in easy walking dita ce to Emporium & Central Shopping centres.

The hotel is in such a great location. Lots of restaurants nearby and a tram stop right in front. The front desk staff were super nice. The room was quite spacious compared to other hotels in the same price range. It also had a small kitchen area where you can cook. Overall, I was really impressed and would definitely stay here again if I come back to Melbourne.

Great hotel for the price - top location, clean and well-equipped. Unfortunately, we needed two beds, we booked for two beds, we were told we could have two beds ... then arrived to a room with one bed. After being told it would be split into two, we were told a couple of hours later that couldn't happen and a rollaway was brought in. Unfortunately, that made the room really cramped. Two staffers could not have cared less about our unhappiness with the situation, but a third (Thereva - fantastic service!) sorted it for us by finding another room. I'd give this hotel 5 stars if all staff members were like Thereva, but would hesitate to book here again because of the unpleasantness of simply trying to get the room we booked.

I recently stayed at Citadines, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, providing a cozy atmosphere for relaxation. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. However, the only downside was that the air conditioning didn't work properly, which made it a bit uncomfortable during the warmer parts of the day. Despite this issue, the friendly staff and nice amenities made our stay enjoyable. I would recommend Citadines for a comfortable stay, but I hope they address the AC issue.

Yelp
The first thing to mention about Citadines is that it is located in one of the best spots in Melbourne CBD. Bourke Street is central and close to many restaurants and shopping districts. Transport is easily accessible with a tram stop located just out the front to take advantage of the City free CBD zone. Citadines staff are very friendly and helpful. I felt at home and all enquiries where dealt with a professional manner. The front lobby area is fitted out with lounges, TV and some Mac desktops. The apartment room I stayed in was very comfortable. Great size, with a bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet, lounge area and kitchen. This was a lot bigger than I expected. There was a great view from the windows. I think the only fault I can pick is that the windows did not open. However, there was an air conditioner that I used to help freshen up the room. Bathroom: was clean and there were plenty of extra towels, soap, hair dryer, shower cap and tissues to use. The soap, shampoo and conditioner were really lovely and smelt if citrus. Kitchen: was full of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The fridge was a great size if you are planning a long stay. Also available was a hot plate and dishwasher. It felt like my kitchen at home! Bedroom: was clean and comfortable. Good mattress and extra linen, blanket, pillow available. A phone, alarm clock, iron, ironing board and safe were available to use. There was a television was set up in the bedroom which was great after a hard day of work. Lounge: fitted out with a television, couch, coffee table and study desk. For those travelling to Melbourne CBD for work this is ideal. When I return to Melbourne again I will book here again.

Yelp
This is my favourite high quality serviced apartments in this side of the city. We've stayed here a few times and it's always a relaxed and seamless experience at every check-in. The rooms are clean, including the modern bathrooms and toilets. The beds are comfortable with medium support and abundant good quality sheets. Other facilities are also above average and the wifi is always strong and reliable. Lifts are also efficient. The rooms where we've so far stayed in had gorgeous views of the city. There's also a convenient tram stop at the front. The lobby is spacious and welcoming, whilst at the same time not pretentious. There are Apple computers where you may also do your printing. Staff courtesy is prevalent and good service has always been available at Reception. I can't wait for the next check-in!

Yelp
I very recently stayed at Citadines on Bourke for 6 nights with my husband. We booked an Executive studio room which was up on level 22. Our overall experience was great. At the price we got this place for, i was certainly not expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised. Our room was spacious for a studio, and had a kitchenette at the entry way which was well stocked, a couch/coffee table, large screen tv, sound system with ipod dock, a moderate sized cupboard that had iron/ironing board (ok this cupboard could have been bigger), and an ensuite that had a very large shower. There was no bath, which we didnt really care about, and the bathroom sink was oddly located just outside the bathroom, but we didnt have any issue with this. The lobby area was large with very comfortable couch seating, free nespresso pod machines, apple imacs and printer available for guests to use. There was a pool on one of the lower floors but we didnt check this out - its melbourne! too cold for swimming! There was no washing machine/dryer in the room, but a communal launderette located on each floor works fine for guests. Great location as well with a short walk to Bourke st mall, flinders lane and a tram stop which goes to the very cool Smith St area in Collingwood/Fitzroy right at the door. The best part - free wifi that works really well in the rooms! I am totally sick of paying a ridiculous amount for wifi at larger hotels. Only niggly issue - they charged our credit card twice accidentally, but once we chucked a tiny tanty about it and got on the phone to said credit card company, this was immediately rectified and desk staff were very helpful and nice about it.

Yelp
Maybe I've been spoiled by The Meriton (both in Sydney and in Brisbane) but the Citadines really doesn't measure up. The deluxe studio was small with no coffee maker or press, no broom, no hooks on doors to hang things, no washer/dryer in the apartment, little storage/closet space. Really not a good place at all. The location is excellent - but the apartment itself was sorely lacking.
