Very nice staff. Good big clean room. Good location. But Wi-Fi was turned off at around 11pm till the next morning. There were no electric sockets/outlets in the room close to where the kettle was so I had to plug out the tv to use the kettle. There is no ac so sleeping on a hot summer night is practically impossible. I opened the window but there was a constant stream of young kids doing wheelies on motorcycles outside the hotel till very late. It was a Saturday night.

This is a very nice hotel with a pleasant and accommodating staff. The room was fine, the bed comfortable and the buffet breakfast had multiple options. It's also just a few minutes walk from all the things to see and do. The only negative is the lack of air conditioning in the room.

From the outside this hotel looks rather uninspiring. Actually it's very pleasant. The room was good, and a generous size. The breakfast was excellent. The lady on reception was charming - she spoke about as much English as I speak French (not a lot) so that was fun.||||I clearly came in the quiet season. The car park was empty, and there was no-one else at breakfast. I guess that's why the restaurant was closed in the evening - which was a pity, but did make me go out into the town centre.||||The wifi is very good - of course lots of people staying there might change that.||||The car park is not very easy to see when arriving in the dark - so I overshot and parked on the next turning. It's not huge, so I guess when the hotel is fuller it will be tight.||||The location is not right in the centre, but it's walking distance (10 minutes walk or so). My room was probably about the only place in Le Puy not to have a view other than the block opposite, but I arrived late and left early so who cares.||||I'd stay here again if / when visiting Le Puy.

The Chris'tel Hotel was a nice surprise, being 3 stars we didn't expect too much. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated so the rooms were quite modern, new looking and clean. Some rooms have small external balconies although they have scenic views of the road or car park. Ours did not have a balcony but had a separate toilet and good sized bathroom and a reasonably sized bedroom with a comfortable bed, small fridge and desk with two chairs. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can get a reasonably priced lunch (it is not open in the evening.)||||A good location and close to a very nice park that was probably the grounds of a grand estate in a previous life. Walking distance to the old town and the religious icons. It is truly amazing that people who never go to church during the year spend so much time visiting religious sites when on holiday.|||| With only 3 stars there has to be a negative - no aircon only a small fan so will be warm in summer. Also no drink making facilities to encourage a restaurant visit.||||So modern, clean rooms in a good location at a good price so RECOMMENDED for the budget conscious.

Good hotel for a one night stay. Good for its location, staff and breakfast. Stayed here in the summer and that was a bit of a challenge with no AC and night temperatures well above 20°C. Amenities are reduced to the minimum and the place lacks hotel atmosphere.||||A good basic hotel for people on the road who want o stay close to the city center.

Reception not as good as the rest...big, clean, attractive room with a balcony and 2 sliding doors for insulation. Quiet, elevator, no AC, but not needed. Good breakfast, even for GF. Great free parking.

With free parking on site, a clean, comfortable room and plain but satisfying meal this was a good place to reach at the end of a 500 mile drive. Like many UK and European hotels in all price ranges, Chris'tel seems to have pared back staff levels to a minimum but those who are left are friendly and hard-working.

We chose this hotel since it appeared to cater for people with disabilities, there was even a picture of the lift on the short flight of stairs to the main lift on the web site. When we got there the staff were unfriendly and the disability lift was broken.||||The room was fine and it had a balcony which was nice and a bath which we had asked for, but the whole ambiance was second rate.
