IF YOU WANT TO FEEL INSULTED WITH YOUR FAMILY IF YOU WANT TO FEEL SMALL IN FRONT OF HOTEL STAFF IF YOU WANT TO FEEL HELPLESS AND IF YOU WANT TO GET BAD MEMORIES THEN YOU CAN GO CITIZEN HOTEL We (family) went there to celebrate my birthday along with new year 2024 we are from chandigarh and this was our first time visit to mumbai. We stayed there for 2 nights in citizen hotel. i have cleared all my Bill before checkout day at night as I need to catch shatabdi from mumbai central in the morning And it will take about one and half hour from my location due traffic told by Mr. Shetty the security head So to avoid any hassel I have cleared all my bills at night before check out day and asked some changes to the reception staff for giving tip to the staff only as it was new year night but they explaining me excuses And they denied straight forward and then I have paytm Rs 1500 as tip to Mr. Shetty the security head to distribut money to the staff including the food manger (Punjabi guy) In the next early morning we have left the room and deposit the key to the reception and my family was seated atreception fir more tgan half hour and I went outside in search of getting taxi's We were already getting late and due to early morning taxis are not available However I find one taxi and I immediately come back to the hotel to receive my family Then that lady having age above 40 and good height wearing blue saree enterd to the hotel and joined reception Where she got to know that we are about to leave. Now just imagine the scene We were getting late as we need to catch early morning shatabdi from mumbai central The taxi was out the gate We were collecting our language to get in the car Suddenly she stopped us and said we need to check the room Bullshit we have left the room and submit the room key more than half an hour and my family was sitted there only. so why not they checked the room at that time. Even the night duty people don't mentioned it. Finally they have checked the room and asked us to pay Rs 1000 more before leaving the hotel So We have questioned her for what ?? As we have already cleared all Bill in the night then she reply there is ball pen mark on the bedsheet And we need cleaning charges for that I said to the lady that madam I am a Dry Cleaner By profession ( then she replied with very arrogantly before ending my sentence ohh good for you ) Which me felt like a shame and small standing and talking to her And I told her ball pen mark it's not a big deal it will clean very easily. She again said very arrogantly behavior that my cleaner said it will not clean so you have to pay money That bedsheed was very old and it's already having spilled food stain markes And the as drycleaner l know it cost Rs 40 per bedsheet to clean for hotel industry. I don't know why but she forced us to pay Rs 1000 and than leave the hotel We were in the rush as we need to catch train on time so we paid the money with feeling helpless, disrespectful, small, insulted from that lady behavior. And still having bad memories of 2024 new year. I request to the hotel owner that kindly teach behavior lesson to the reception staff as they supposed to welcome and cooperate with customer instead of insulting them And it was same ball pen which is use by room service person and the staff during playing with my son given pen to him. Then my 2 year old baby took from him and marked on the bedsheet. We are going there to make good memories not for harassment.

The location of the hotel is obviously great being right in front of the Juhu beach. The front desk team lacks communication skills which is evident with guests but also within the team itself. The rooms are standard. The sea side patio is nice place to enjoy a few drinks and enjoy the beach and sunset view.

I recently stayed at Citizen Hotel in Mumbai and had a mixed experience. I want to sincerely commend the junior trainee staff at the hotel. From housekeeping to room service and especially the restaurant staff, every member of the junior team went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. They were courteous, attentive, and genuinely eager to help—qualities that truly stood out and helped restore some faith in the overall hospitality of the establishment. While the front desk experience left much to be desired, the efforts of the junior staff made a meaningful difference. Management should take note: training and accountability at the reception level is urgently needed, but the junior team is doing an exceptional job and deserves recognition. During the checkout process I was extremely disappointed by the behaviour of the receptionist (who wears a saree looks like she is over 40s ) when I requested for some cash change to tip the concierge. The attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming, and I felt more like an inconvenience than a guest. This kind of impression can really set the tone, and in this case, ended things off on a sour note. Would I stay again? Possibly—if improvements are made at the front desk. But I certainly appreciate the hard work and kindness shown by the rest of the staff.

This hotel is run down. Definitely do not recommend for NRI’s. Breakfast is basic spread, hot food is cold and staff in the restaurant do not even smile. They are not helpful. The internet cuts out and you are given voucher codes which you have to keep using and connecting to. Restaurant and room has flies, walls are thin so you can hear people next door. Do not recommend under any circumstances.

WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE (DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE YOUR CAR TO THE VALET HERE): Here's how things went down: I came to Pick up my Mother from the Hotel, to take her outside & asked the Valet to simply Reverse my Car & for what looked to be a Simple Reverse, the Valet banged my Car into a Stationary Cab. Now comes the worst part, one of the Guys, who was part of the Valet Team, said Sorry for the Heck of it & couldn't stop laughing. He was literally laughing right in my Face & saying Sorry. Like, literally, how Shameless can one be. & The Icing on the Cake was, he again came the next day & started laughing, saying Sorry. I got a bit annoyed & asked to stop with his Fake Sorry & get on with his Job. If you wish to stay @ this Hotel, I wouldn't Recommend Handing over your Vehicle to the Valet here. Below are my Damaged Car Pics:

I recently visited and stayed here for 2days. Only expect the location, junior service persons and restaurant stuffs nothing is satisfactory as per the cost. Room: extremely small and suffocating and having no noise cancellation system Management: worst management stuffs and receptionists. Every senior management stuff was so rude and manner less as if we are staying here for free. I had one of the worst and embarrassing moment… i was standing close to my partner and we had our own group of friends, we were eating and drinking then the manager of the restaurant came and asked to sit properly like I cant stand close to my partners chaire and i have to sit on my own chair. Its a beach side location, everyone was there in vacation and mostly with there partners and everything was so normal then we didn’t find any logic on his comment, and it was like being a old age person he was having the issue. This kind old aged stuffs should never keep in this kind of location or hotels. We ordered 2 water bottle and they charged us 140rs almost for one 20rs bottle. Wifi was useless. AC wasn’t working properly. And again this is the 1st time we have experienced such pathetic management stuff in such big and expensive hotel. Will recommend others to get other beach side hotels rather than this and we will at least never stay in this hotel again.

We chose this place for a birthday staycation mainly because of its beachside location. We booked directly with them, but the process wasn’t smooth — we were asked to pay an advance immediately, or else the rates would change by the next day. Trying to get in touch with the staff was frustrating, as our calls often went unanswered. After paying the advance, we checked in the next day and were greeted by a rather unfriendly staff member. When we mentioned it was a birthday and asked about any possible upgrade or special gesture, she simply quoted additional charges for everything ,no courtesy or warmth. While the room itself was clean and compact, the biggest letdown was the view or lack of it. The windows were permanently sealed shut, supposedly to keep sand out, which completely defeated the purpose of choosing a beachside property. Thankfully, the housekeeping staff were polite and helpful, which was one of the few positives. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a staycation. The reservation staff were rude, the pricing is close to that of a 5-star hotel, yet no breakfast was included, and even a basic bottle of water was charged at ₹118. Nothing about the experience lived up to expectations.
