citizenM Boston North Station (Boston, Massachusetts) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Perched above TD Garden and steps from North Station, citizenM’s first Boston hotel brings smart design to the city’s evolving West End. The black-glass tower rises over the West End’s growing dining and nightlife hub, with Beacon Hill and the harbor visible from the terrace. The second-floor lobby opens into an open-plan space with street art, custom shelving, and a mix of deep colors and soft textures. Rooms are consistent: XL beds, blackout blinds, rain showers, and tablets that manage it all. It is a seamless stay for travelers moving between meetings, museums, and the next train out." - Tablet Hotels

The hotel overall is quite good for the price. The room is small, but clean enough (not sparkling clean, but acceptable). The bed is large and very comfortable, and the shower works well with steady water temperature. Even though the room is compact, they made good use of the space with thoughtful storage solutions, which worked well for my solo trip. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for two people—the room simply doesn’t have enough space to sit comfortably, with only one proper chair and a very small bench. The shared living space is nice, but inside the room, it feels cramped. For a short stay focused mainly on sleeping, it’s perfectly fine, and compared to similar hotels in the area it’s about 30% cheaper. That said, the building quality could be better—when I first checked in, a small wall panel actually fell off and hit my head, which was not a great first impression. Overall: great value for a solo short stay, but not ideal for comfort or for two people.

Great place! So modern, unique and stylish! Small rooms but fabulous big windows, very comfy huge bed with the best bedding and climate control and lighting were fabulous: a perfect cocoon, completely quiet, in a busy part of Boston. The best place to stay for train travel and we took an uber to the airport in 15 minutes. Great breakfast and easy check in and out. Beautiful lounge area with super comfy modern chairs where we read and relaxed for an hour before our train. I looked up the chair I was sitting on there and it retails for $9,000 dollars! No expense spared here. Small rooms might be a drawback for some but I loved the modern Japanese feel to the design and the comfort of being able to control the atmosphere. Slept so well! And what a gorgeous tower view!

The room was quite nice, small but very practical and high tech. Only the mattress was average. |The lobby, restaurant and bar area is very cool and enjoyable. Food was delicious but they were out of a number of items. Convenient parking nearby but loading area is quite busy. overall great stay!

Google
Big fan of this hotel in Boston. Across from North Station subway station so easy to get anywhere in Boston Metro area from here. The room is very clean and modern with amazing views of the city from your bed! The bed is literally against the full wall window overlooking the city. We also found the service staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. I didn’t have high expectations when I booked it. Booked it mainly for price and location, but would probably prefer to stay here again when we come back. Especially a great spot if you enjoy the North End of Boston, which we think is definitely the best area to walk, eat and stay. Room size is efficient and adequate.

Google
Solo traveller and room was perfect for me. Quite compact which I didn't mind but if you are a couple it might be too small. The bed is INCREDIBLE. Best sleep ever and such nice views from the huge window. Extremely clean and perfect location. I loved staying here.

Google
Staff was EXCEPTIONAL! We loved how clean the room was. The bed was SO comfy, & we had a great view!||The main (very frustrating) problem that we had is that we couldn't watch the TV in our room. The QR code never worked when we tried to stream. The TV never connected to the iPad, even after the reset from the front desk & even trying to reset the tv with the tv remote control. We did not have the energy to change rooms just because the tv would not work.||Aside from that, everything else was EXCELLENT!

Second time we have stayed at this hotel and very functional and trendy. European-based chain with a (slightly) European feel. The rooms are not large, but they are comfortable and there is room to work, as well as a very spacious working area on the main floor (which is the third floor) There are nooks and crannies to explore on the main floor and great places to set up a laptop and feel like you are working in a large office. There is also a large balcony for sitting outdoors at that level, along with an ample breakfast and coffee service, a bar after hours, etc. ||Because of its central location near North Station it is convenient to both hospitals and business as well as tourist areas. So it is a little pricier than the Back Bay or Cambridge, but well worth the extra dollars. Close to the airport as well. It is a little less than "Excellent" because it is pricey (and may get more pricey now that the chain has been acquired by Marriott). But it is worth it is you can afford it.

Google
Hotel location couldn’t be better! The vibe there was exciting and relaxing at the same time. 30 second walk to Td Garden and you pass a 10 restaurant food court with bars and tvs and all super quick, on-the-go, quality and quantity food and drink (I think we ordered at a counter and the food was ready before we even finished paying?!)

Yelp
I enjoyed it. Loved the coworking space downstairs. Loved the iPad and check in. The room wasn't bad size for us since we were staying 2 nights only and had 2 small day bags. I can see with large luggage how this would be tough. Didn't like the small sink but still was a lot of storage space compared to other hotels

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were coming to Boston to go to a particular restaurant in seaport district and we needed a hotel close-by. I found many overpriced hotels but then I found this hotel and I was curious, I can tell you one thing the pictures that you see do it NO justice to how beautiful and inspiring this hotel really is! Yes the hotel is like a smart hotel from the future! The room was programmed by the provided iPad which was so dope, it worked on the shower colors, the color and brightness of the room and the blinds, curtains and tv. This room was small but packed with so much fun. And there was also beautiful art and books in the room. Absolutely astounding views from my room and super cozy bed. The living room area aka lobby, the vibes and the whole aura were top tier! I love how they had games in the living room.Books, books and art galore (my favorite things in life). I couldn't believe how upscale and luxurious this felt. Every corner I felt I was shocked at what I saw- it was so modern and artsy. And the customer service was top tier. I also needed to iron our clothing for dinner and realized we didn't have an iron in the room I called the front desk, an ambassador answered the phone and told me about Iron Heaven. Basically a super dope room on your floor that had a steam press iron and worked very well, this was so much fun, I never thought I would enjoy ironing clothes! I do also love the option of paying a little extra to have a 2 PM check out instead of 11 am check out. This allowed us to enjoy our 7th floor look over the city. Oh my the night views were amazing and the sunrise was beautiful! I highly recommend a late check out. As you can enjoy the living area and your room or be like me and finish a book (provided in room) by the window and all the views. Our smart room was so beautiful and perfect. Now to the only reason why this isn't getting a perfect five stars. With our late check out, we weren't expecting the housekeeping to not even knock but to open our door at 11:35 AM, I'm glad we had the stopper on or if we hadn't she would've just walked directly into our room, and we had the sign out there as well to let them know we were busy. This is a serious security issue for me. I didn't particularly enjoy this at all. She didn't even apologize to us and when my boyfriend told her that we were checking out late, she just nodded her head. Otherwise, this was an immaculate experience with top tier ambassadors, but that should be worked on immediately because that's NEVER okay.

Yelp
The room was amazing! Gorgeous views, incredibly clean, and walking distance to everything you could possibly need. Being able to stream from our devices to the room tv was an added perk. The iPad controlling all the lights, blinds, and the tv felt silly at times but I get that they're trying to be modern. Also, having to check in on an iPad but STILL having to talk to an employee to show ID is an incredibly useless process. The check in staff are awful at communicating how this works as well. Something that wasn't a problem for us because we're married but would be a problem if we were with family or friends: the bathroom does not have a sealed door. There's about a half inch gap in the glass from floor to ceiling. You can divide the room with a see-through white curtain, but you can imagine how little of a difference that makes. Finally: there is no elevator from the first floor to the rooms. You must first take the elevator from 1 to 4, then walk around the corner to other elevators, and those go to the rooms. There aren't enough signs or people explaining this because I had to help a confused patron Every. Single. Time. I was in the elevator. These things were annoying but not real deterrents; also certainly not explained during booking.

Yelp
The rooms are patterned off boat designs. Just horrible for more than one person. Bed is sandwiched between two walls and the window so the person against the window has to crawl over the other person to get out. Simply ridiculous not to Mention that your toilet is part of the shower. Just sooooooo bad for the money.

Yelp
Meh... Room was small. Big bed takes up most of the room. Bed is pushed up next to window, so roll out of bed through the window and land at center ice at the TD Garden. Drawers for your clothes are in the base of the bed. So is the safe. Shower and toilet are in a plastic enclosure. Sink is in the room proper. Fitness center only had 5 machines and some dumbbell weights. I see in other reviews that they charge for coffee, but the two mornings I was there, I just walked up and had it gratis. Overall, for over $200 a night (taxes included), meh.....

Yelp
Me & Citizen M go together real bad. Their unique style depending on what city you're in which features a variation of the same theme gets me every time. My goal is to stay at all of them Link to my reel: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2tHrDeol_i/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Yelp
Stayed here the night of a concert at TD garden. I believe there was surge pricing for this as we paid nearly $300 for the room. The check in process was seamless and contactless, but there were plenty of staff available to help with any issues. This hotel is interesting and trendy. The rooms have mood lighting controlled by an iPad, and automatic shades that you can put up and have a great view of the city skyline. The beds are huge and comfortable...but the creepy pillow doll things could go We ate at the bar, there was about a 20 minute wait for the two overpriced appetizers and one drink we ordered. The food was pretty mid, and clearly straight out of a wholesalers freezer.

Yelp
This was my first time staying at CitizenM. The hotel was located in a central area of Boston and was easy to navigate with a bunch of local businesses nearby. The rooms are very advanced compared to other rooms in hotels. It's the little things like the adjustable mood lighting & curtains. It all sets to what type of vibe you're feeling. This will not be my last time staying at CitizenM.

Yelp
My husband and I loved our short stay here at citizenM! CitizenM's location was the best for us Boston first-timers. TD Garden, the North Station train, a food court and a grocery store are conveniently downstairs next door! It is also a short drive to/from (depending on traffic and toll roads) Logan Airport and short walk to EVERYTHING if you are willing to walk! We walked everywhere - Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Boston Tea Party museum, lots of stops for shopping, coffee, food and many historical sites on the Freedom Trail. The room was on the smaller side BUT it was absolutely perfect for our needs! You can't even select more than 2 people when booking a room, so keep in mind if you have more than 2 people. We comfortably fit 1 check in luggage and 2 carry on size luggages. Hair dryer, shower gels, liquid hand soap, clean towels are available. There's a shared separate room for iron and board on every floor. The iPad worked fine and I thought it was so cool to control everything from the lights, colored lights, climate, tv, and blinds! Another unique feature was the ability to mirror what's on your phone to the television - so we streamed The Departed and The Town of course! Speaking of The Departed and The Town, our view was facing behind the citizenM where you see the popular Zakim Bridge featured in those movies plus tons of other Boston movies! The only small gripes I have are that the pillows were too big and firm as well as the slightly low shower water pressure from the waterfall head. The entire hotel looks and feels so modern, lively and fun.

Yelp
The world's noisiest hotel. My first 2 nights I stayed on the side where TD Gardens is. Between concerts and sport events all the stadium noises come directly into your room in a heavy base, constant vibration kind a f way. Made it impossible to sleep. My third night I had them move me to the other side of the hotel, hoping for some quiet. It was equally as noisy, just different kinds! Lots of honking, guy playing drums on buckets, people yelling. Unbearable across the board.
google avatar

Tom R.

Yelp
Everything here was absolutely perfect. From check-in, to check out. An ironing room with steamer at the end of each hallway. An iPad in the room, the controlled the shades and lighting. Streaming capability from your personal device to the TV. Very simple design of the room, but had everything needed. I will definitely be staying at a citizenM hotel in the future.

Yelp
I hated this hotel! Let's starts with the good things: 1. Dark and quiet rooms. 2. The lounge area was nice lots of seating! 3. Most staff are nice. Now bad: 1. Staff scolded me for calling for room cleaning and said I should've done it on the iPad the day before. 2. They don't have water bottles in the room 3. They don't have a coffee machine in the room and they want to charge you in the lounge for a black cup of coffee!!! 4. The beds are too plush my back is jacked. 5. The decor is awful. Not family friendly at all. 6. For breakfast buffet, they wanted to charge me $20 per GUEST per DAY! are you out of your minds?! 7. They are trying to be sustainable but honestly it's just them being cheap and offering the bare minimum, not even the bare minimum. I would've felt more lux at an airbnb. I'm glad we're finally checking out today and never have to come back to this place.

Yelp
The hotel is super Chic, very modern. I truly loved my overnight stay. I had a beautiful view of the city. Huge windows it was beautiful. My only complaint is no parking on site and you have to pay for parking in lots, no discounts offered. I would definitely stay here if you're going to be doing stuff locally. I slept GREAT!!

Yelp
Hi I never heard of the CitizenM before we booked for 4 nights from NYC, Well as soon as we stepped into the lobby I was so impressed, We took elevator up and was greeted with a friendly ambassador who helped us he was so nice and told us everything we needed to know. I like the fact that there isn't any acces to the room floors above if you don't have a key. The place was so clean, view was Amazing, close to everything, TD Garden next door, AMC movie next door easy access to T train ,we took Ubers all around nothing was more than $9.00, it was Christmas week we spent it in Boston . I would definitely stay at a Citizenm hotel in any location I am hooked. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for being so nice and helpful. Happy New Year Joy Rosenthal

Yelp
For the last three to four years that I've stayed here for the events at TD garden, this hotel has not disappointed. The staff that meets you for check in upstairs are efficient. Contactless check in and check out seem to be the norm here. The lounge and dining area is trendy. Full service bar looks like it's available around the clock, however dining options seem to cut off around 9/10 pm. The entry restrictions by security in the late evening and after an event next door do add a sense of protection for the guests. (Be prepared to show your room key). Fitness facilities are on the 5th floor. Irons and ironing boards are only available outside of the room near the elevators for that floor. (Shared use).

Yelp
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT STAYED AT ANOTHER HOTEL FOR A FEW DAYS ABD HERE ONE NIGHT, I can't even explain this hotel was so great, make me not even want to use my other memberships with other hotel. Like I couldn't have asked for more feels like your in the future

Yelp
This could have been a five-star review but it isn't due to several issues. When you arrive, there is a handicap accessible door but it is locked and you are supposed to use an intercom but we couldn't figure out how to use the intercom, it was not clear. One of us had to walk through the revolving door and open the other door from inside. We requested an accessible room. Instead of being close to the elevator, it was halfway down a long hallway. There was only one chair in a room for two people. When I called to request another chair, they said they didn't have any extra chairs. So one of us, both mobility impaired, had to sit on the high bed to put on shoes which is very uncomfortable. All the electrical outlets were on one side of the bed and none on the other. I requested an electrical extension cord and they did not have one of those either. There were no luggage racks nor any surface to place suitcases on. The drawers were underneath the bed requiring bending over. The bedside shelves were tiny. The bathroom and hall had very few hooks to hang anything on. The sink was also tiny with no place to put items, and no shelves in the bathroom so items had to be placed on shelving in the small hall. The shower did not have a lip so when you used it, water got on the floor outside the shower. I know that was because it was accessible but at least a tiny lip would have been better. I found all these issues to be very inconvenient. On the positive side, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the towels large and fluffy. The hotel itself is trendy and there is a very nice lobby area with couches and tables, books and games and a cafe with free coffee and tea, breakfast is available for an extra charge in the morning, and you can order simple foods such as pizza and snacks until 10 PM, otherwise they have pre-made sandwiches and salads available at all times. The area is also convenient with restaurants, bars and a pharmacy within a half-block radius right next to North Station train station.

Yelp
I forgot to take pictures of our room (rookie mistake - I know). This is a unique hotel! Awesome location - we walked just about everywhere we went. Also an easy Uber pick up/drop off location as well. If you are looking for a cool/unique experience, this is the place for you. The rooms are pretty small - they even tell you that from the start. It's a very euro-vibe, so think modular and efficient space. It was just my husband and I, so I don't know what the rooms more than 2 people capacity are like. The lobby and outdoor sitting was an awesome place to chill and get some great drinks from their bar. We tried most of their menu and they have some great options - especially the espresso martini. Super quick and efficient check in and out. It was very self-service which I liked, but I know that's jot for everyone. All staff was super nice, helpful and welcoming. DO STAY HERE IF: - You love a unique experience - You don't mind being in a tight space with whoever you are traveling with - It's a quick weekend trip - You want a great location - You love a cool vibe - You like self service DONT STAY HERE IF: - You like really spacious rooms - You are staying for more than 4 days - You don't care about cool vibes - You want a full concierge experience

Yelp
Visiting Boston area and decided to stay here. I did enjoy the experience because it is a cool stay. So there are some pros and cons staying at this hotel. (King room downtown view room) Starting off the pros of this hotel: - easy walk to td garden ( a reason why I chose this hotel due to the fast commute to the garden since the Celtics we're playing ) - best view of downtown Boston - easy walk to get food / walking around Boston - nearby shops / food - friendly workers CONS: - cracked iPad - light was hanging off the wall - AC wasn't really working - stains on the blanket - can't control the room colored lights ( advertisement was wrong it was only for the shower ) ROOM IS SMALL ( I was aware of this and it was totally ok with me. I just don't recommend staying here if you're going to stay for a long period. Thank you citizen M, it was a good experience. I do recommend the experience and if you're going to td garden, It is very convenient.

Yelp
Great Costumer Service, Rooms were clean! Easy to check-in/check-out. Also was able to store our luggage in lobby closet while we explored. Before we left to the airport.

Yelp
Having just spent a week in all kinds of different hotels we found this one to be the least fun and comfortable experience. What we did like - it was clean, the people were friendly, and it was centrally located. What we didn't like was - the lobby and entry way were very dark (a lot of black) and that the room was claustrophic, the bed was against 2 walls and a window wall causing someone to always crawl out of the bed. The design of the tiny bathroom was a shower and toilet only; the sink was outside the bathroom making the entire space not user friendly. While we love new adventures and are not about pure luxury, we do have certain expectations that this space did not meet which would include enough space for two people to function without constantly bumping into each other.

Yelp
Pros: Good Location Cons are everything else The bed just sucks ass I'm pretty underwhelmed. I knew the room was gonna be small, but it is like claustrophobic small. Pretty spendy and pretty crappy. The TV channels are extremely limited. Seen much bigger menus at a Motel 6. My biggest gripe is the bed is so uncomfortable. It is an extremely firm mattress. Not my bag. Also no sheets other than the cover sheet. All you get is a lame lightweight comforter. Stuck here for another night. Uggggh. Gonna have to drink more heavily than usual to get any good sleep. Two rather than one because the location next to TD Garden is cool. Really, really close to a one.

Yelp
I stayed here for my 21st birthday / Travis Scott concert at TD Garden, and had an incredible experience. From start to finish, the staff was kind and welcoming. Upon check in, my room was completely decorated for my 21st birthday, which was a surprise to me and my boyfriend. The incredible staff decorated my room with "21 tips when turning 21", as well as confetti and balloons. They also left us two drink vouchers that could be used at the bar. The view from our room was beautiful, and all of the different features in the room blew us away. Not to mention, you can't beat the price. CitizenM is a no brainer for anyone coming into the area!

Yelp
LOVED THIS PLACE!! This ambience and vibes were amazing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Very attentive and great with recommendations. Love their 24/7 bar service as well as their lounge. I wish I had meetings to take because of their private working space lol. Downside is parking but we always managed to find a lot! Will definitely come back, love you CitizenM

Yelp
I specifically did not book an ADA accessible room and they gave me one anyways. Not a big deal but there's no tub, the shower just sprays water all over the bathroom floor so it feels like I'm competing on a Wipeout course every time I try to use the toilet after showering. Also because it's an ADA room they don't have the normal lights that change colors. Are disabled people only allowed to use white lightbulbs? I don't see why someone in a wheel chair isn't allowed to see colors. If anything that probably makes them feel worse. Also the bed isn't up against the wall which I don't see how that helps disabled people because either way they're going to have to get into the bed from the wheel chair. These factors greatly impacted the enjoyability of my stay and it was pretty upsetting because I specifically didn't press the ADA option when booking my room. Also the sounds of cars honking is somehow magnified by the windows to make it sound like a vehicle has infiltrated your room and driven into your bed to get as close as possible before honking. Also it's my birthday. Thanks citizenM.

Yelp
I'm reviewing the rooftop drink/dining at CanteenM here (I did not stay at this hotel). I love that their restaurant is open to the public. It's so adorable, overlooking Causeway from four stories up. I got the blueberry bliss cocktail & the citizen jasmine cocktail. Both were so pretty and so delicious! We also got chicken dumplings and prosciutto pizza and loved those as well. You just have to order everything at the bar and then they give you a buzzer that you can take to your table on the roof, and it'll buzz when it's time for you to pick up your food. It is quite a bit windy because of the location, but it's nice on a hot summer day. It would have been nice if they had more mock tail options. All they really had listed for non alcoholic was lemonade.

Yelp
Awesome hotel. Awesome lobby, awesome staff. Just awesome!!! Will return and will bring friends!

Yelp
I was slightly hesitant to book here at first because of the small room and a few negative reviews. Thankfully, that didn't deter me because I really enjoyed my stay! I think people who left negative reviews either didn't properly research the room, or prefer the traditional run-of-the-mill hotel room. The room is compact, yes, but does not feel crowded. It is certainly enough space for two people to comfortably stay. I booked a room for myself and my partner for 7 days in March. Pros: -- Location! It's about a 1-minute walk from the street level hotel entrance to North Station, where you can catch the subway or commuter rail. (Public transportation was great by the way - $22.50/person for a week of unlimited rides. This saved a lot of money! We only had to Uber once to the airport because the flight was very early in the morning.) The 1-minute walk to North Station was very helpful during the cold, windy, and rainy days of our trip. It is also a short walk to the North End restaurants. -- View: I signed up for the citizenM+ membership, which gives a year of discounts, free late checkout, and a free premium upgrade to a room with a downtown view. It is absolutely worth it; the view was stunning! -- Clean: I didn't see any signs of previous guests and the room smelled very clean. You can customize which days you want housekeeping on the phone app or iPad. -- Modern: The decor is very trendy, you can quickly self-check-in/out, and your room features can be controlled by either: in-room iPad, the CitizenM app on your phone, or switches on the wall. -- Great shower: It has a rain-like showerhead with good water pressure and easy temperature control. I loved the handheld showerhead too. -- On-site bar, food, and lounging areas. If you need to meet up with people or a larger space to work, study, socialize, or have a meeting, the 4th floor main lobby is there for you. Cons: -- If you are an extremely light sleeper, be aware that the sports/concert arena (TD Garden) is in that building complex and you will hear some noise from the crowds at street level, as well as people honking in traffic. I consider myself a light sleeper but it never kept me awake. CitizenM claims their windows are soundproof, but I'd say mostly, not fully soundproof. You are in downtown after all. -- Wifi is free, but can be slow. -- No microwave. This was not a dealbreaker for me, but it would have been nice to heat up leftovers during the 7-day stay. I would absolutely love to stay here again! I kept telling my partner during the trip how glad I was that we booked a room here.

Yelp
It's the location that sells this CitizenM spot. Walking distance from TD Garden and Faneuil Hall. Food hall on the premises with tons of options without leaving the block. The rooms can be a little small- especially if booking for two. That being said, it offered a great price for this area in town. Breakfast is decent, and I advise paying for the buffet. Would stay again!

Yelp
My family and I stayed here about a month ago. I was really excited for the room, but had quite a few issues during the stay. Our iPad kept unsyncing to our room. We couldn't get the TV, climate, lights, etc to work through our phone or iPad. We called down a few times and they kept having to do a room reset, but after the fourth or fifth time it would have been nice if they offered us to move rooms. We also tried using the iron on our floor and it did not work. The website said they would help with scheduling a taxi for the airport but the ambassador said they would not. My family and I woke up with bites on us, assuming they were bed bugs since they were three bites in a line on different people. We did check the mattress but did not see anything, but there is a hole going into the wall close to the bed... We did let the staff know and they said someone would call us. It's been about a month and we have not heard from the hotel. Treating our luggage was a pain when we got home and we had to take an extra day off of work to bring everything to a laundry mat to clean. Overall it feels like the hotel would have been really great when it was built but customer service and maintenance were very unimpressive. Great location and the bar. The bar at the hotel had one of the best drinks I had in Boston.

Yelp
I NEVER write reviews but the level of horrible and incompetent display of customer service that I received from this place warranted a review. I checked out about 9:30am and called that I had left my son's laptop in the room at 11:30am (I KNOW WHAT AN IDIOT I AM) but it happens. Well I had to call 4 times before speaking to a manager, first time I called spoke to Lauren who said yea we will check and get back to you. Now it's 1pm with no return call from anyone. I call back and speak to a Keyla who says that they are still figuring it out and that I will get a call back. I was trying to be patient and gave them the benefit of the doubt. But let me tell you when I call back for the 3rd time I had to get a tone to speak to a manager and while waiting for the manager to get on the phone without putting me on hold and me listening to other employees take care of customers they hang up on me. Finally when I called the 4th time I speak to the manager Lucy who needs some more training as well on how to deal with customers cause the first thing she tells me when she gets on the phone at 3pm and lets remember I called at 11:30am for my laptop is that this is the first time she is hearing about the laptop. Which I found strange and said to her well that's the first problem. She told me that they checked the room and they might have grabbed it with the linens that she takes off the bed. They hire a third party vendor who handles there linen and when I asked her what protocol for those vendors when things like this happens, she refused to answer anymore of my questions got an attitude like they were all in on stealing guest things. This hotels seems like there plotting and stealing from the guest. I asked to watch the cameras from the hallway to see if the house keeper put it in her cart she stated that there are no cameras in the hallways. She pretty much just told me to go get a police report cause there is nothing that could be done in so many words. JUST WATCH OUT WHEN YOU GO HERE!!!! YOU MIGHT GET ROBBED BY THE EMPOYEES OR WHATEVER THIRD PARTY VENDORS THEY HIRE TO CLEAN THE ROOMS!!!!!

Yelp
Wow. So Even with a free and nice upgrade with lots of room, the Sheraton got old after six days; then a convention rolled into town. I dunno but a bunch of conventioneers makes for a rowdy, drunken frat party environment -- so started looking at my bucket list. I've had my eye on the CitizenM as an option. First the CitizenM is a Dutch brand, similar in style and features as the French AccorHotels and the Danish brand, Wakeup. The concept is modern, smart design, smaller digs but super comfy. This concept has been popular in Asia and Europe for the past 10 years. Now, this same concept is beginning to make it in America. Glad-- because American brands will have to offer similar options to customers who prefer this ambience. I loved that everything in room is controlled by an iPad: temperature, mood lighting, TV, music, the double blinds Unless you pay $500+ a night per room at an American hotel you won't get this kind of amenity and convenience. Even then, higher end suites at US hotels are not technology-current. Who wants to spend $500 a Night for a bed? I know it's just not a bed but... Pas moi. The bed is a comfy, medium soft yet firm mattress. Climbing on to a nice slumber in the snow, a fireplace on the display, while the street 15 floors below was getting its first winter coat was hygge. A downside: For travelers requiring space you'll want a larger room in another hotel. The price? Moderate. The workers ? Hip and Helpful. The experience? LUV Tip. 2 free movies per night. Free porn all night--you read it right. The bed is comfy LOLs. Breakfast buffet $18 per. The North Station stop on the L is 4 doors down. Walkable to the North End eateries, many restos on street level, since it is close to the North Station Stop.

Yelp
The stay was nice , hard to find decent parking that wasn't expensive but overall had a good time. I wish the shower had conditioner , and that the bar/restaurant was not out of pizza. The breakfast is a must and the views from the room and balcony in the lobby bar area is so nice we also took a look at the fitness room and it was nice and clean

Yelp
My husband and I love this place. It feels like the hotels we used to stay at in Europe. Yes, the rooms are shoebox sized, but everything is super clean and efficient. The beds are comfy and the iPad controlled lights, blinds and TV are awesome. Best part was the wonderful friendly, helpful and cheerful staff at our 12 am check in. Truly, the staff here are the best. The negative reviews are weird to read. I guess I don't come to Boston to watch a bunch of TV stations or spend a ton of time in my room--though the views do make for a nice place to relax between excursions. If you like everything supersized from Walmart this probably isn't a good pick.

Yelp
When in Europe I always stay at CitizenM. Absolutely my favorite hotel chain. Modern, clean, fun, quirky, artistic, beautiful and affordable. We have a few in the states and I'm so happy to be staying at the newest location. This Boston hotel opened just a couple of weeks ago. At each location I've been to including this one I've never seen happier, kinder, friendlier hotel staff or as they're called here, ambassadors. They really love their work. It's just so freaking rad to stay at this chain. Mood lights and sounds in the room, amazing shower, incredibly comfortable beds and bedding and so much more. Citizen Karla is smitten.

Yelp
The only positives were that the room (closet size) was clean, it was very close to TD Arena where we would be attending a concert and breakfast for a price was included in our room rate. The room was tiny. The bed was completely up against the windows so I had to literally crawl over my husband to get up and down. No comfortable sitting available in room. Bath had what looked like a portable shower and toilet. Small sink with small counter just outside of shower. No storage space. Although some will think this is great, there was a large mural of a guy smoking pot in the bar/dining area. Breakfast was hit or miss. Coffee was cold that was in dispenser supposed to keep it hot. They gouged us with room rate because of concert. I would never stay here again. Very uncomfortable because of lack of room and storage for luggage and to comfortably get around room. Staff was friendly but in a 3 night stay, we never had any fresh towels or cleaning done. First time to Boston and this was not a first time good experience with this room.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my stay, it was little too modern for my taste but it grow on me, the staff are incredible and the location is amazing. The rooms are small but I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay while attending a show at TD Garden. The rooms are small, but I wasn't in town to hangout in my hotel room. The place was fairly clean, and the bar was really nice. I will definitely be a return customer, thanks Citizen M

Yelp
Drove here to see the Eagles concert at TD theater and this place is right here!! Close location to concert venue, within walking distance. The problem here is checking in and parking. While my bf was checking in, I waited in a no-parking/drop off lane in the van. I watched multiple people trying to park all around me, to check in. It was scary and ridiculous. After my bf checked in, he ran up our luggage twice since we had to park at the North Station train entrance for $60 a night!!! What a rip off! We've stayed in major cities before, but $60??? Ridiculous. And we had to walk back to hotel with whatever we didn't drop off. VERY frustrating!!! I will say, it is a 'boutique' / 'hip' hotel and the decor is really cute, but the rooms are another discussion. Small, functional and the view makes up for it! Good luck driving here!! Lol

Yelp
Terrible parking situation which front desk can not even tell you where to park a car over night. Terrible customer service and check-in. We arrived at 145 and front desk lady said we won't be checking anyone in till 2, whole Experience was weird and unorganized. I would avoid this hotel at all costs

Yelp
Awesome pod hotel, in a fantastic area on the North End. You are steps from the TD Garden, T Orange and Green Line, Starbucks, CVS, Star Market. Room is only for two people and they're taking COVID pretty seriously, deep cleaning every room. There is a nice gym on the 5th floor with a water refill station. Small fridge in room, iPad controls the tv, AC, Blinds, Lights. Don't be put off by the one star reviews complaining about parking. When booking the hotel explicitly stated there was no parking on the premises and advises you to book through SpotHero for the nearby garages, dont let peoples lack of ability to read turn you off to a sweet stay at a great price.

Yelp
I came here with my husband for our anniversary and it DID not disappoint! The rooms are small but the view and room lighting/ambient makes up for it! The hotel itself has photo ops EVERYWHERE, which I loved! The rooftop was beautiful, and their lobby area was everything, we will absolutely be back! Highly recommend! Oh and did I mention it's next to a food hall and TD gardens!?

Yelp
HELLO BASHSTONNN! This new hotel on the West End/North Station is beautiful. Views from the rooms are spectacular, overlooking the Boston skyline. Close proximity to essentially everything in Boston and right next door to the subway. I had a perfect night's sleep in the King bed. The lights and television are controlled by an iPad, and you can dim, change the colors of the shower lights, lots of cool features. Black out shades. Rooms are small, but laid out well. Would 100% stay here again. Bar closed early cause of Covid. So didn't really experience that part of the hotel.

Yelp
i think this is the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. on the first day, the bathroom flooded and all my luggage got wet. on the second day, our key cards stopped working and we got locked in the stair hallway and also could not get into our room. outrageous price for like really terrible everything. the only thing that's good about this place is the service, and incredibly nice and accommodating people who also seemed to know that this hotel is not it.

Yelp
I almost went to Moxy that has a similar vibe, but I couldn't turn away the huge windows and the king bed with a flat screen smart TV. I'm very glad I did not have to pay extra for the city view, which I selected upon check in. The ambassadors are very friendly and helpful. There are some free movies, but most were not very main stream although recent enough - this is one of the few things I was not wow'ed by. A variety of channels are available, but notably not HBO. While the sink is out in the hallway, the shower is a decent size with a rain shower as well as a removeable showerhead. There is no tub though and all the rooms are set up exactly the same so this is just not a hotel for bath tubs, which is not something I would recommend using in most hotels anyway. I did enjoy having an iPad that controls the lights, but I a actually wished there were more wall light switches so I didn't have to search the room for the iPad or be able to keep one lights open while others off. If you'd like to iron clothing, you'd have to go to the public ironing room, which is more of a closet. Not the best set up for COVID times, or might be busy during normal times. The canteenM is on the same level as the check in. The entire floor is an open plan, with quite a few seats and tables, which I'm sure would be filled in non-COVID times. There are even some small meeting rooms. the entire floor was marked with arrows to indicate the one way route around the floor to observe COVID protocols. The outdoor patio is spacious as well. The vibe is definitely young and non traditional. I would stay again at any other citizenM in the other countries they operate in.

Yelp
This is a hip hotel that is centrally located with incredible views of the Boston cityscape. The food and drinks from canteenM are pretty decent. It's also located above the train station and a grocery store, right next to a Hop-on-Hop-off stop, and across the street from a CVS. By far the most impressive part for me was the hospitality. The precautions in place for COVID-19 are pretty exemplary though as well.

Yelp
Booked a last minute Boston weekend getaway and CitizenM was the perfect stay! You can't beat the location but I will say having to park at TD Garden is expensive for overnight. The lounge was gorgeous! I loved the vibe and the decor. The rooms were different from any hotel I've ever stayed in but that's what made it more awesome. The rooms are very small and the bathroom situation is interesting/different. The water pressure wasn't great in the shower, but the detachable head def worked better! I also wish there was a light for the bathroom because the night light only works so well, I had to use my phones flashlight when using the bathroom at night. The bed was suuuuper comfy and the view is absolutely beautiful! Loved the mood setting with the iPad as well! Overall, no complaints and I had a great trip!

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay here. Booked it day of on the hotel tonight app because I wasn't sure of the protocols coming from New Jersey. Room was clean, cute and efficient. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is taking proper Covid precautions. Would definitely stay again.

Yelp
This hotel is awesome and for the money it was priced well, well worth it! Very trendy, the main lobby on the fourth floor is so fun it almost feels like a game room. Lots of comfy couches, lounging chairs, colorful decor, fun art pieces. Bar open late, and good snacks. Not sure what time food service runs till. Off of the main elevators their are several kiosks to self check yourself in. The room was almost like a pod that you would see in Tokyo. Enough space for 1 or 2 people and the city view is so amazing! Someone could easily stay here a week comfortably. Another fun plus was an iPod that controlled all functions lights, shades, sounds, and colors..yes the color lights to set the vibe. We went to see Above & Beyond at Big Night Live that was literally 30 seconds from the hotel that was the biggest plus! We will be returning in the future!
