We’re on a one-month honeymoon around Southeast Asia, and unfortunately this has been the worst hotel so far. The rooms are extremely small, and even though the hotel is supposed to be “techy,” the app didn’t work, the TV didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out. It was surprisingly difficult just to get extra towels. The water would also leave the shower causing the bathroom to be really wet. Don’t act all techy/modern, if nothing works.
The biggest issue, though, was the service. We tried to eat downstairs because our room was too cramped, and a staff member watched us set everything up and bring our food down—yet only when we asked if the water was filtered did he tell us we couldn’t eat there and that the water cost 4 RM. Why not mention that earlier? Also, everyone else seemed to be drinking the water for free. We literally had to eat on our room’s floor because there is NO SPACE.
Later, while we were waiting for our cab, another staff member tried to kick us out of the lobby until we went back and forth and he realized we were actually guests. There were plenty of other people sitting there—why were we the only ones questioned?
Everything also felt overpriced, especially the laundry service.
Lastly, we only stayed for like 3-4 days and yet ran out of hand soap, shampoo, and body wash. Why do you only fill the bottles less than half way, I don’t understand.
The only positives were the location, the first staff member who helped us, and the balloons they set up for my birthday/honeymoon. Other than that, the stay was really disappointing
