⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I absolutely loved my stay at citizenM Los Angeles Downtown! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was modern, welcoming, and stylish. The lobby felt like a living room you actually want to hang out in — full of cozy seating, art, and great music. The staff were friendly, efficient, and genuinely happy to help, making check-in and check-out a breeze. The room was spotless, comfortable, and cleverly designed. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I loved controlling everything (lights, blinds, temperature, TV) from the tablet — such a smart touch. The blackout blinds and quiet atmosphere made for a perfect night’s sleep. Location-wise, it’s super convenient for exploring downtown LA, with great restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions within walking distance. If you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable, and tech-savvy place to stay with amazing service, this is it. I can’t wait to come back!

Its very modern and chic at citizenM hotels and this L.A. location is smack dabbed in a nice location for taking the metro (which is just 2 to 3 blocks away) and 1 block away from the great Grand Central Market. All the staff I met there were very courteous, helpful, and friendly. From the housemaids, the security in front ,the bartender, and the front desk staff , everyone was warm and welcoming. The rooms were small but very efficient in the way they did the interiors. It felt like staying in a very nice train suite to tell you the truth; not that its a bad thing, its just interesting. You control a lot of things from the rooms ipad like the lighting ,TV, if you want housekeeping or not, window shades, etc. Theres no microwave nor coffee machine in the room(at least in the one I stayed in) but theres a microwave that anyone can use downstairs near the bar/little store area. Thats the same area where you can pick up some plates, forks, spoons, and knives if you want to use it in your room. The only gripe I have is with the super small fridge they had that took a day to chill anything. They have a chill lounge area with neat art in the lobbies if you want to hang out a bit. I would definitely stay again if I were to come back to L.A. and want to be in the downtown area.

While it is definitely a cool styled hotel and very trendy, the room space was small and washcloths were not provided unless specifically requested every day at the check-in counter. There weren't lunch/dinner options as advertised and no real posted info about what the $22 breakfast would include to make it worth it. Parking overnight at the garage was $38 a day which was disappointing... surrounding lots wouldn't have likely been less expensive and often had ending times at 6am which isn't feasible for me when I'm on vacation! Operating room amenities with the ipad or app was cool, but being able to order room service or chat with staff directly would've been a great feature I would've used. Was really clean and housekeeping did fantastic. Room was quiet although our "courtyard view" was mainly the AC unit. Would be the best stay for a single person or maybe a couple, and even better if you don't need your own transportation. The lobby space was cool and great for visiting/lounging, loved the art they had. For the price I wouldn't stay again.

We stayed at CitizenM Los Angeles for one night as a couple, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel has a modern, “smart” feel with everything designed for comfort and convenience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. We really appreciated the luggage storage option, which made exploring the city easier before and after our stay. The room itself was compact yet cleverly designed, with high-tech features that made it feel both stylish and comfortable. The bed was super cozy, and the whole space felt fresh and well thought-out.Overall, a fantastic stay – modern, convenient, and with staff who genuinely care. We’ll definitely be choosing CitizenM again when we’re back in Los Angeles!

LOVED IT! So much better than the usual hotel experience I'm used to! The minute I stepped in my room, I knew I was going to have a comfy sleep throughout my entire stay. Loved that you can control the lights and TV with the iPad. Bathroom layout is VERY interesting but I loved it. Bar and breakfast had solid food choices, scrumptious and delicious. I even told the bartender that I loved this hotel so much that I don't want to stay in a regular hotel anymore lol. Love the whimsical and quirky nature/aesthetic of the hotel. I would definitely come back if I stay in downtown LA again!

What stands out about this place are the rooms which are very comfortable. Love how you can change the lighting to suit your needs. Endless TV stations make you feel right at home. The bed is nice and big, and the shower pressure is nice. Small gym to allow for quick workouts. Great location downtown with access to everything LA. The negatives are that the rooms are small which makes it hard to navigate putting your suitcase any place. If you're with another person the room might feel a little tight. The sink to wash your face is also small, and trying to iron your clothes can be a bit of a hassle. The Laura Star irons are over rated and don't provide enough heat. Plus you have the share the ironing room with everyone. No parking either so know before you book. Overall, it's a cool place to stay with many features in the hotel.

I wanted to try the ambience setting on the iPad, and the front desk went above and beyond to help. It couldn’t be fixed — turns out it’s not working in all rooms — but their professionalism and willingness to try took this hotel from good to great.||Yes, it’s in a filthy part of town, but the service makes you forget it. From Day 1, Minute 1, everyone is treated like royalty — you walk in, and it’s as if they’re checking in Queens and Kings, not just guests.||The block might look like a zombie apocalypse at 2 a.m., but inside? It’s five-star calm, minus the brain-eating. Just be careful and walk with a group, if possible.

citizenM is hands down one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this place was designed with the modern traveler in mind. The check in process was lightning fast thanks to their self-service kiosks, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cool without being overbearing. The lobby feels more like a creative studio or an upscale co-working space than a hotel, filled with vibrant art, comfortable seating, and a curated, cosmopolitan vibe that instantly makes you feel inspired and relaxed. The room itself is compact but brilliantly designed, with every inch used thoughtfully. The bed is enormous and unbelievably comfortable, the linens were fresh and high quality, and the blackout blinds plus soundproofing made for some of the best sleep I have ever had in a hotel. Everything in the room is controlled by a tablet, including the lights, temperature, blinds, and entertainment, which gave it a futuristic yet effortless feel. The design throughout the hotel is sharp, modern, and full of playful personality without ever feeling forced or gimmicky. The communal spaces are perfect for working, reading, socializing, or unwinding with a drink, and the energy of the space makes it feel more like a cultural hub than a typical hotel. Perfect for solo travelers, creatives, digital nomads, or anyone who appreciates clean aesthetics, high function, and a touch of luxury without the fuss. I felt both pampered and empowered the entire time I stayed here. citizenM nails the balance between style and substance and I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
