We had a fantastic stay at citizenM! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The lounge area downstairs was perfect for grabbing a quick snack and taking a breather before heading out for more excitement. One of the highlights was the rooftop bar! It was so inviting that instead of heading out with our family in NYC, we brought them back to the hotel for drinks. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. I especially loved the shower. It had excellent water pressure, and the blackout blinds were a dream for getting quality sleep. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to provide a few more towels. Overall, our stay was excellent—comfortable and convenient. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the subway and all the excitement of Times Square!

We have stayed here six or seven times now, and been blown away each time. The staff is unbelievably kind and helpful, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure our anniversary was as special as possible and it truly meant the world. A great modern hotel, with some incredible people.

This hotel was just the absolute perfect location. Near everything. Very welcoming, the vibe was so cool. All the staff from front desk to the servers at the bar were so nice and friendly. Drinks at the bar were made very well. Loved the room. Perfect for solo travelers like myself. Also good for couples. The bed was huge and so, so comfortable! Perfect after a long day of walking! Loved the tech in the room with the iPad to change the color of the lights, set the mood, the AC and the TV channel options were great. The shower was amazing! The water pressure, the heat, rain shower, it was lovely. The only thing I have a complaint about was that the shower curtain had a little bit of a funky smell. Not overpowering but noticeable. Other than that, I would highly recommend and I plan to rebook in the near future when I come back.

Excellent hotel with a wonderful location and access to Ties Square, Manhattan and local bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are on point, the dedicated ironing room on the 2nd floor was a lifesaver for ironing work shirts, The lobby cafe is very good and there is a outdoor dedicated area for capers or smokers (good to have with a fresh coffee from the cafe after a long flight or re-covering from a late night). I was very impressed with hotel and will use it again for work or pleasure.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! Times Square is just a 3-minute walk away. Check-in is done through self-service screens, where you can also indicate your room preferences. I requested a room on one of the upper floors — and I got exactly that. My room was small but perfectly adequate, with a beautiful view. I felt completely safe during my stay. The terrace was amazing — a great spot to enjoy the New York skyline at night. The staff were kind and helpful throughout. I can’t wait to come back to New York and stay here again!

Loved the place, yet the elevators was an issue with one broken. Bar service could have been better especially at roof top, also lacking snack choices despite on the menu. ||Rooms are small but great, super comfy and quiet. Coffee - no thanks!

Google
We stayed here twice - once in 2019 and once last week - and both times had great experiences. Location is incredible, the rooms are small but super clean and have everything you need. The bed is unbelievably comfy, and staff are always friendly and helpful. Decor is cute, too. Love the blackout curtains! Everything is controlled on an iPad - temperature, lighting, alarms - and is very user friendly. Rooftop bar has a gorgeous view. I would say the breakfast isn’t worth it because it’s about the same cost as breakfast elsewhere, and it’s nothing special. But we will definitely stay here again next time we’re in town.

Perfect Spot for Travelers! This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, and plenty of subway stations, which made getting around super easy. The rooms are cozy with big, comfy beds....perfect after a long day of exploring. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was just what we needed to start the day. Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come back. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!

Yelp
Hipster hotel in the heart of Times Square, right across the street from where Wicked is currently playing. Great location to major stations - Port Authority Bus Terminal, the 1 Train and other subway connections. Walking distance to Central Park as well. The room is minimalist and clean. The King size bed is XL so nice and roomy. There are 4 great pillows - not flat/deflated or overly stuffed. Everything is controlled by the iPad in the room. As there is so much to see and do in NY, only slept and showered here. This place is affordable, modern and surprisingly quiet for where it's located. Great hotel, location and service. Will come back in the future !

Yelp
One of the worst customer service experiences ive ever had. I literally just wanted to check in, and the concierge at the front desk acted oh so incredibly inconvenienced having to open the main entrance door for me when I arrived for my stay. It was as if I had stepped into an alternate reality where checking into a hotel was akin to a surrealist Dali painting. Checking in? Here?? Oh, how could I do such a terrible, awful thing. The concierge was pissed to have a customer arriving, and I was the only one there. With a single breathe, Immediately fumigating the room with a temper tantrum fit for reality tv, she quickly blurted out "areyoucheckinginwithus". I had to ask her to please repeat herself. She repeated the same, anxious statement, but slower with a passive aggressive backbone that really meant "please for the love of god get out of my face so I can stop talking to you". Holy cow dude. Within 10 seconds of meeting this person, I could immediately tell she hated her job, hated the world, and hated everyone around her. Every single word I said earned her a new vein on her forehead. It was like an etch a sketch. All I had to do was say something like "What room am I in" and BAM, a line was added to the canvas. Truly, a work of art. I felt like I was a prisoner talking to a police office more than I felt I was a customer who just paid $1000+ for a room speaking to a concierge. I maintained a polite tone the entire check-in process, but she was so astonishingly impolite I didn't even feel comfortable going back downstairs after it was over. I actually wanted to get a sandwich from the 247 bar, but after realizing I had to purchase it from her I immediately changed my plans. I would rather be hungry than spend a single additional second with her. No, seriously, I chose sleep over eating because she terrified me. That experience ruined a majority of my stay with this hotel, and it painted the whole experience poorly. I felt like the hotel didn't care about me at all. First impressions are really important.

Yelp
Came to the city so for a quick getaway I was looking for a rooftop area that we could have a drink and with a nice view. It was nice. The drinks were great. The bartenders were friendly.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at CitizenM Times Square. The location is unbeatable, centrally located with an easy walk to Hell's Kitchen, Times Square, and the southern end of Central Park. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with a smile. We worked remotely during our stay and used both our room and the public "living room" co-working area off the lobby. The WiFi was relatively stable, with just a few times where we had to log back in. The canteen dining was perfect for grabbing a quick bite on a rainy night when we didn't feel like going out. The gym is very small but adequate for getting some fit time in. The room is well designed and perfect for two organized people. The bed was super comfortable and the blackout blinds were true blackout, letting us sleep in well past sunrise. We also had no issues with noise or bothersome neighbors. This was our third stay at a CitizenM hotel and definitely won't be our last.

Yelp
We chilled in the lobby for a bit. It was a nice place to hang out until our dinner reservation. They have some board games and the atmosphere was just chill. Would love to hang around here again! There's so much interesting things to see.

Yelp
I always have a blast when I stay at citizens. This time square location is phenomenal. Staff is friendly and over accommodating. The art here is great. Nice meeting spaces and open spaces to relax. The breakfast is also a great value.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night in the city and it was perfect for a quick overnight. I liked how all the rooms were the same, and you could adapt the lighting and temperature (and blinds!) from the iPad. No complaints about staying here. As someone who loathes Times Square, that would be my one negative about the location, but as a visitor to the city who wanted to be near Times Square, you can't beat it! Rooms were clean, and as another reviewer said "they had everything you needed and nothing you didn't". I got a latte to go in the morning and it was delicious. You can sit in the fun and funky lobby and drink before you left. One thing - I used Chase points to book the room and there was a weird glitch so I couldn't check in without assistance. The person working the front desk was great so it was fine, but checkin could've been easier into it that glitch. You just find your reservation, tap your card (keep it if you're going to stay again!) and go to your room.

Yelp
Let's just say this booking was a mistake! First to check in you have a kiosk doing all the work and no early check so NEVER arrive early you'll have to sit and wait until 2pm Apon seeing our room the pictures don't do it justice of the actuality of how small it is. Its cramped and just good enough for sleeping and showering, they provide no ice maker on the floor or room service if any kind! You have to go to bar for ice per cup hahah We flew in and came to our room and was laughing like what did we book lol I mean bumping onto each other just to get from bed to sink to bathroom like omg. We don't realize we didn't have full hot water until the second day and then we came back from being out with family to a note there doing some possible leak or pipe issue and when asking our last day if they fixed it or would we have hot water we were informed of a button you have to push yet ours was jammed and we were never made aware until I finally asked for some one to come check to validate it was broken and then it's like 6 at night and they wanted to move our room which would have worked out if we weren't leaving at 4 am to the airport I'm so over this hotel no compensation except a drink voucher and sorry for the last 2 days of miscommunication of no hot water fml so my opinion stay somewhere else where you feel valued! Rant over!

Yelp
This review is strictly for the rooftop bar, spectacular views, the bartender was great and made us delicious drinks. It was such a cute space where we lost track of time and spent 3 hours up there.

Yelp
The concierges were amazingly friendly and helpful. The hotel is completely computerized, including things like the elevators. In order to get to your floor, you need to place your room key card onto a pad above the floor buttons. I had some trouble with it at first, but the concierge very happily helped me place the key card properly. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, and visually very hip. Based on the online pics, I was concerned that the handicap accessible room would be a very tight fit. I was pleasantly surprised. The placement of the king size bed, which is at the window end of the room and takes up the entire width of the room, actually works very well. There was a lot of floor space that wouldn't exist if they'd made the bed accessible from both sides. The bathroom is a little dark, although I didn't play with the controls enough to know that it could be fixed. But again, surprisingly roomy bathroom, with a fully accessible shower including a hand held shower head and a rain shower head. Very convenient if you're seeing a bunch of Broadway shows. I recommend, esp for single travelers.

Yelp
I've enjoyed staying at the CitizenM Bowery location, so when planning a Broadway-centered trip to NYC, I knew this would be a good choice. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to many theaters and is reasonably priced when compared to other Times Square hotels. They have a very helpful staff for checking in, ordering breakfast, and other random concierge questions. Breakfast is offered daily for $21 and includes coffee/tea (or espresso). They offer grab & go food and drinks 24/7, and you definitely pay for the convenience (4.00 for a small bag of Cape Cod potato chips). But in a pinch or if you don't feel like venturing out, the sandwiches and drinks are a good option. We did this one night of our trip and stayed in watching movies. Rooms are small (it's NYC after all) but the bed is huge and there is a surprising amount of storage space on shelves, closet space, and under the bed. Don't want to climb over your partner to get out of bed? Sleep with your heads to the window instead of the wall. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The bathroom has color changing lights and different shower heads depending on your water pressure preference. There is a super cool rooftop bar on the top floor, but I got a little panicky being outside 21 floors up so I had to go inside. The indoor part of the bar is fun and funky. There are also many places to sit/lounge/hang in the first floor lobby and they have outlets for phone chargers. #bless The staff at CitizenM is what makes this a great place to stay. At both locations, every employee was kind and helpful, answering every question and making sure we had what we needed. We are already planning our next Broadway visit around staying here.

Yelp
Rooms are very small. Think of it as the hotel version of an efficiency apartment, they made it all fit in as little space as possible. All of that would be fine except for the position of the bed, for two people to share the bed, one person has to crawl to the other side. There is no walking around the bed. If you are staying alone, the position of the bed should not be an issue. But, if you are comfortable on a cruise ship, train, or mid-size RV, then you will be right at home. Even the bathroom/shower could have been on any cruise I have been on. With that said, the room is what you might expect at a European hotel, after all the citizenM brand is a Netherlands-based hotel chain. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff friendly. Control of lights, TV, & window shades are done with an iPad. It is very easy to control, for those used to using smart devices. But, be warned if you are not tech savvy, you might not enjoy it. Despite my comments about the small room, I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend it.

Yelp
Stayed here for about a week in July. Love that the AC is constantly running and the fact that they have a complimentary water spout for guests to use to fill up their bottles before bracing the heat outside. I also like the iPad in the room to control lights, curtains, cleaning, etc. Very convenient and easy to use. You can black out the room to enjoy sleep or enjoy a beautiful view. I also like showering under colorful lights. Small room but perfect for two!

Megan V.

Yelp
Hotel staff was not helpful when trying to cancel our room due to a family emergency. Demanded to see screenshots of the third party site saying "cancel for free". They were unwilling to work with us. Won't be staying here next time we are in the city.

Yelp
I love citizenM hotels! They certainly aren't for everyone - the spaces are typically very small (quite literally it's the length of a king size bed from side to side). There isn't a whole lot of space to sit or place your items, but this isn't too much of an issue if you plan to be out most of the time during your visit. I always gravitate towards citizenM because I really love the aesthetic, the autonomy of being able to cast things like Netflix or YouTube on the TV, adjust lighting with different colors, and more. The location for the Times Square hotel is pretty central, close enough to Times Square to be near everything but also far enough to be away from the busy and hectic city. It's very close to almost all of the subway lines, we took the subway a few times and only walked 5 minutes at most to each station. The Uber to the hotel from JFK was hovering around $80-100. I docked a star because the audio from our TV wasn't working perfectly, it'd go silent randomly at certain volume numbers. The TV Welcome screen also displayed a different name (previous guest?) and the sink plug wasn't working properly either. I stayed at the Chicago location previously and didn't run into any similar issues there. These problems didn't disrupt our stay too much, it was just a tidbit that if fixed would've made our experience better. They have a stay 3+ nights deal and offers for free drinks if you book through the app!

Yelp
Our second stay in an M and we really enjoyed it. Free drinks for just checking in on your phone. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast was delightful. WE really felt special and would go back again for sure.

Yelp
Not a 5-star hotel, but 5 stars for a comfortable, care-free, brief stay in NYC. We enjoyed the modern, clean cubicle rooms which have everything you need, and nothing you don't need. We appreciated the quick and efficient check-in and check-out. We usually hate self-serve tech, but this was easy to use, and there was always someone there to help. The lobby bar and "living room" were nice, cozy and inviting. Great homebase for exploring New York for a few days. Good value.
google avatar

Veronica V.

Yelp
I absolutely enjoyed this hotel with my husband while voting NYC. Kinda crappy that they were super strict about check in time. Like i get it but also cmon your guests have been traveling. At least make an exception. Everything is high tech, we had a rave in the hotel room. Lol the window view was amazing. I would come back again! Plus the rooftop bar was super neat. The hotel design was different too but I personally enjoyed it

Shanice H.

Yelp
Duke covering the front doesn't know his left from his right. Asked him if there was a waiting list for people getting their rooms early and he said depending on extenuating circumstances yet his coworker told us to return at 12:30 and the room would be ready. I have no problem waiting but when coworkers don't have any communication it makes a frustrating experience for the customer. I understand check in is at 2pm but if you're coworker is telling customers to come back before 2pm and you have no clue about it or any idea what's going on in the building something's wrong. Everyone else had great customer service minus this guy. Hopefully overtime he becomes better by being surrounded by great people. As far as rooms they're a good size for New York. Love that it's all controlled on an iPad (lights, tv, etc) close to Times Square, subway stations, food places, etc. all around great location Cleanliness was good as well
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
This place is so great. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly! Josh is great. Thanks for making our stay in nyc the best.
google avatar

Yelp
This is our 2nd time staying in a CitizenM hotel and it's the only hotel brand we want to use moving forward! CitizenM is unique and their experience is very modern compared to most other hotel brands. The atmosphere is very artistic and warm. I've seen people complain about how small the rooms are, but we actually loved it. The rooms are small but they're more than equipped with everything you could need. The beds are extremely comfy, the tv is mounted right in front so you can watch TV in bed, and the best part is that everything is controlled by an iPad. You can control the lights, the color of the lights, the TV, the blinds and check the menu for the bar/food all from the iPad. We love the convenience of this place! We booked our room during a deal where my wife and I each got a complimentary drink. Definitely checkout the bar and this location has a super cool rooftop bar as well.
google avatar

Thea G.

Yelp
If you're planning on staying in New York for more than one night, this place is not it. The rooms are smaller than most people's studio apartments and are filled with features that are aesthetically interesting but functionally inconvenient: a sink drain cover that easily flips over & has to be jammed with a butter knife to be opened (which is what an employee did when I called for help), a bathroom without a vent fan despite its close proximity to the bed & "living area", two small trash bins that are located so low you have to kneel to notice they're separating waste from cardboard & plastic. I'm a graphic designer & admire Citizen M's concept... but if the design inspires more frustration than interest, something's wrong with it. After a day sightseeing, we came back to our room and our key cards weren't working. When we went to the front desk, they said they'd been having problems with the door all day since the morning. We hadn't been told any of this and expected to be able to rest in our room. But instead we were asked to transfer immediately to a different room 17 floors above, which was no different or bigger in size despite its higher price value and location near the 24/7 rooftop (which was closed while we were there). I wouldn't stay here again. And I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
I was pleased with my stay here. Paid $3,138 for 12 nights though also bought the $120 CitizenM membership fee which allowed for late check out and a room with a view. So around $271.50 per night in total. I stayed by myself so the smaller room size was fine and yes it is quite small. The King size bed was super comfy as were the pillows. The bed occupies the entire space in front of the window so it's hard to look out the window unless you get up on the bed and crawl over to the other side on your knees to look. But my view was decent looking towards Times Square to the left and you can see the water to the right. I liked that you can control the room using the app on your phone including blinds, lights and climate. Shower was nice though as others have said, it does splash out on the floor. Refrigerator didn't get very cold and I was not able to adjust it. It was incredibly small and could only hold a few drinks. If you want ice, you have to go downstairs to the bar and ask for it there. A small microwave would have been nice. I did have a couple of work days (virtual conference) so the desk in the room was perfect for that. No problems with the WiFi at all. Also no problem with having hot water and with the use of elevators (no long waits). Staff was friendly and accommodating. I had the breakfast once and it was good. You don't need to tip. You pay at the bar and serve and bus yourself. The "living room" aka lobby is comfortable and charming. Check out was literally like 30 seconds. I'd definitely go back.

Greenlee R.

Yelp
Hotel was in an amazing spot right next to Times Square. The room was incredibly clean and the amenities were great! Hotel bar 10/10. Nicest staff, clean, accommodating and a great price. We were on the street side on the 14th floor, we were told since we were checking in earlier than usual that that room may be noisy, but it was actually pretty quiet and really nice!
google avatar

Lesly R.

Yelp
I Went inside for a drink because the lobby just looked so beautiful. I got some amazing photos in there. While enjoying my prosseco.

Michelle H.

Yelp
Great hotel that is hip, efficient and has a great price point. This particular location was centrally located to main attractions in NYC and the metro. Staff were friendly and room was kept clean. Note that this is like a pod room and best for singles/couples.
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
This place rules. The euro vibes were excellent. Staff was all above and beyond friendly. Probably the comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in. Very quiet except for a touch of traffic noise but did not hear any neighbors. It really blew me away. 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite place to stay in Times Square. Luxury on a budget, friendly staff, and a beautiful, clean space. I have stayed in many Citizen Ms and this one with its roof bar has to be one of the most beautiful in the world. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Just love the place. Modern but at the same time cozy. Excellent location easy to get to all the shows.

Yelp
Cool hotel, neat concept, bad customer service. I added late checkout through the app before I checked in. When I was checking in the receptionist said she could see it on my room details. Ok, cool. My last day comes and I expect to have late checkout (6pm I believe?) only to check my CitizenM app and see "Checkout: 11am". I called the front desk and asked them to check on their end and was met with "ok we'll call you back". 20 minutes pass and I'm getting closer to 11am. I call back and the same lady answers "Oh I was just about to call you back, I have someone here checking your details, he's going to call you back in 2 minutes". Another 20 minutes pass, it's 10:55am, and my time to checkout still says 11am. I call back again, and the same lady answers, "oh sorry he forgot to call you back, it's not on record". Ok cool, no problem, I ask if I can add it again since I was promised late checkout. "No sorry it's too late because it's 11am and we're overcapacity, have a nice day". So now I'm booted out of my room at 11am, unshowered, disheveled, and carrying my luggage in shopping bags because I didn't have time to play Jenga with my belongings, trying to fit everything in my suitcase in the lobby, and my flight wasn't until 7pm. Not worth the money, and the technology is also very finicky. Good gimmick, bad execution, worse customer service. If you WANT the experience of staying at a CitizenM, I suggest the Bowery location in NYC which was miles better. Attached is the screenshot of the conversation I had with customer service through the CitizenM app FOUR days prior, saying they added late checkout for me. I firmly believe the desk staff meandered until 11am so she could have an excuse not to add it, super unacceptable.

Yelp
Clean, modern, hip. This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in my travels. It's in time square so there's heavy foot traffic but definitely worth the experience at night. There's also a "roof top" bar.

Claire M.

Yelp
Perfect location in the center of the theater district of Manhattan. The staff was very helpful and kind, and they were able to hold our luggage before and after check in. The bed is comfortable and we slept great after a tiring day of waking around the city. It was quiet and, in my opinion, the perfect size for two people. We never felt cramped, which is impressive considering the room size is smaller than typical hotel rooms in other cities in the US. Would definitely recommend for any two people wanting to stay in a convenient location during their trip to NYC!

Yelp
Great hotel located on W 50 St between 8th Ave and Broadway! Upon pulling up, you'll notice the outside decor- it's very different and unlike any other hotel I've seen. Enter through the revolving door and head over to the check in kiosk area. That's right, no typical front desk here, but a table with about 8 tablets. You check-in easily via the screen, however, an employee is there to help walk you through each step. When I checked in, KAYLEE helped me. She was so professional, sweet, and efficient. She set the tone for this hotel, and it was a great way to start off the stay! I got my key, which you have to use to use the elevator, and went up to my room on the 10th floor. These rooms are tight, a little more so than usual even for NYC, but it was clean and modern! An iPad welcomes you by name, and is used to control everything in the room- TV, blinds, AC, and most fun- the lighting! The odd shaped bathroom has neon lighting abilities with many color options that you access via the iPad. Kind of fun to play around with! The bed is inserted under the window- and the suggest sleeping a specific way if there are two guests v. one. The mattress was SUPER comfortable, but the pillows were sad. Also, I could not get over the shower, which shared the floor with the rest of the bathroom, only separated from the toilet by a tiny little shower curtain. It was like adding a baby shower to an airplane bathroom. Even the sink is located outside of the bathroom because it doesn't fit inside. You have to see it for yourself! I was in NYC for a business trip and was staying by myself. I ended up adding a late check-out to my stay the next morning, which was great. I was able to have the room until 6pm. It was nice to come back and shower and change after my business meetings and lunch before my flight back home. I selected this hotel as it was near my meetings, and I would definitely stay here more! Again, good property, clean rooms, and honestly, Kaylee was wonderful upon checking in. They're lucky to have her representing their brand!

Yelp
What a great stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and the amenities were exactly what we needed for our brief stay in the city. The micro room was a lot of fun as we didn't need anything more then what was provided. Bathroom usage was audibly noticeable, but if you can get past that you're in the clear for an enjoyable stay. Location is what drew us to this hotel. We were in walking distance to everywhere in the Theater District. There are also so many great restaurants in the area. Get a little out of your comfort zone and give this place a try.

Yelp
I loved my experience at citizenM New York Times From the moment I checked in with the welcome by Matt to the technology in my room. I was able to keep my room ice cold through the room IPad and loved being able to control lighting, blinds, TV and streaming right from IPad. Plus the king size bed was so comfortable. The rooftop bar has an incredible view, friendly late night 1st floor bar (as the rooftop bar has to close at 11pm, neighborhood ordinance), morning breakfast team also very friendly, accommodating your requests. Staying at CitizenM is a treat and incredible value for the location, views and proximity to everything in NYC. I will be returning on my next trip to NYC thanks CitizenM for great experience and will be checking out their locations around the world

Yelp
I FUCKING LOVE THE CITIZEN M. perfect location, and overall just a really nice hotel for the price. the only complaint i have is that the elevators take FOREVERRRR but that's not their fault. i will definitely come back i love this place.

Yelp
Such a nice hotel! The staff is all smiles and they make you feel very welcomed. I paid for a room with a view and the view was not the greatest but the room was beautiful. The color lights only work in the shower, not the whole room like I thought they would. The room is controlled through an IPad which is very cool and easy to use. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Yelp
I had Room 206 and loved it! CitizenM is within walking distance of a lot in Times Square but slightly off the main drag so it's not totally insane at all times. My friend and I really loved the unique and super cool theming at CitizenM! It was such a fun hotel. The staff at the front desk is fantastic! Our room was excellent and the different themes you could set your room at were cute with various lighting & blinds moving. We loved their rooftop bar though service was lame & they were out of nearly everything there - the view was to die for! Also downstairs on the first floor is an adorable little courtyard we fell in love with, as well, full of fun things everywhere. Totally instagrammable. :P Check out was 11am with breakfast served from 630-11am but not included. We grabbed a coffee as we waited to hear to the airport on our check out day. Check in and check out was a breeze! The rooms aren't big but for the quality of the place, cleanliness, location and price - it's the best thing around. Overall we just loved this hotel and all the really cute touches. I'd stay there again in a second!

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay here (you get a free drink voucher when you check in)! The lobby was modern and had lots of tables and outlets to do work. The rooftop bar was really small but you get a nice view of the city. The outdoor patios were not open when I was there but I would imagine it'd be nice! The room is pretty small even for one person but the space was used efficiently with intentional design. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was on the 9th floor so there was still some city noise. I tried to get ear plugs at the round table where you check in but the ambassador told me they were out :( Other than that, I had a great stay and would definitely stay here and at their other locations in Europe.

Yelp
The cloud bar is the best rooftop bar in New York and has the friendliest bar tenders. Kevin had such great drink suggestions and was easy on the eyes

Yelp
I know I have only 2 check-ins, but this is actually my 4th or 5th stay: I love this funky place! Conveniently located (in Manhattan), and consistently good. Clean/crisp/modern. Since my first stay at this chain, in Manhattan, I've had the pleasure of staying at their London hotel, too. I hope they keep opening new locations everywhere I travel.

Yelp
Loved this hotel and all the staff are wonderful. This hotel is perfect location. 2 blocks from Time square and 1 block from the subways. 4 or 5 blocks from Central Park. So many restaurants surrounding the hotel. The hotel was so modern and the room reminds be of a Japanese room which I loved. Bathroom had a wonder waterfall shower head and a hand held shower. Staff was amazing, all the bar people and desk service. I'm terrible at names but the only name I could remember was J. But hands down ones of the nicest hotel staff I've had. My kids loved being downstairs while we were at the bar. It's sophisticated but kid friendly. My 2 year old would sit own their elephant chairs and move the doll pillows around. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This place makes up in style but it lacks in size in the hotel rooms. Everything is clean neat and orderly and if you're not claustrophobic it's a good find near Times Square in the heart of Manhattan.

Yelp
I'm about to blow the lid off the the only place you should consider going to in Times Square for meeting up with friends or spending some time working. I work from here every so often and am always amazed at how friendly the staff is, how much I love the design (go Vitra!), and how good it smells (seriously, walk in and inhale deeply). There are places to sit at a table, there are ample places to laze about on comfortable couches (there are few places you can just take up residence on a Hella Jongerius couch), and there's a small courtyard that's protected by a bunch of brick walls making it a quiet sanctuary in the summer months. My only request is that all of you reading this don't overrun this space so that I lose my spot!

Yelp
First time in NY city , had an amazing stay at Citizen M hotel minute walk from Times square. Walking distance from all sightseeing places in NY. Rooms are little small but felt so comfortable during my stay. Very minimal , modern and clean. Stuffs are very friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
I still have one night left, but I have absolutely LOVED my stay. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back. I came solo to NY and felt super safe in the hotel. They lock the front doors after 11pm I think. There was always someone in the lobby and a security guard also. You also need a key to in the elevator. The room was a bit smaller than what I'm used to, but it was just me, so it wasn't an issue. But if you're traveling with someone, it may get a bit crowded. My suit case didn't fit in the drawer under the bed. The bed was super comfortable. I loved that I could control the lights, tv, alarm, a/c, etc all from an iPad in the room. The shower had mood lights, so those are controlled differently so at night I would dim that set of lights and turn off the ones to the entire room. For the alarm, the iPad goes off and all of the lights turn on. I paid extra for a nice view, but next time I won't as I really wasn't in the room and I was just facing other buildings. I paid for the breakfast for all of the days. Downfall is that it's the same exact thing every single day. They don't change it up one bit. However, it was convenient because I could just go down and eat, then leave to explore / meet up with a planned tour. I didn't see too many of the guests, but in the elevator and in the breakfast area I would see them and they were all older or in their 30s. So definitely not too noisy. Don't look any further! Book your stay here.
