Yelp
What more can I say about this place that hasn't already been mentioned in the numerous 5 star reviews from fellow yelpers. This hotel is absolutely amazing and made my trip to London an absolutely wonderful experience. If you are a tech-savy individual, you'll love this hotel. To check-in, you merely walk up to a touch screen, make a few clicks (based on availability, you can pick if you want a room with a high/low ceiling; what type of view you want, etc.) and boom you're set. You even make our keys through the touch screen computers and they can double as luggage tags when you check-out. After checking-in, take the lifts to your room and be amazed. We got a room with low ceilings and a view of the adjacent Tower of London Castle. If the above seems too daunting, don't worry! There is staff there to walk you through the aforementioned if needed. And the best part, they are all extremely nice.
Upon entering the room, it was like entering a trendy night club/bar as there are customizable smart lights that turn on (I think it is automatically set to a purple/red color when you first enter), which you can control with a few swipes on the iPad located on the night stand. Like the lobby, the decor of the room is chic, modern but minimal, and very trendy. Books like the Great Gatsby and cool artwork added a really hipster vibe to the room and was much appreciated. Like the smart lights, everything in the room is accessible via the iPad. You can adjust the blinds, the temperature, the television, set an alarm, etc. all with a few swipes. Want to feel like you're in the amazon when you shower? Don't fret because this place has those wonderful waterfall shower heads. I felt like Usher in the "U Got It Bad" music video (where he dances in the rain) everytime I took a shower here. The King size bed was huge and while the room was small--reminscent of a luxury studio apartment--I never felt like I needed more space. There was also a small table and bench for your sitting needs. Because of the techy aspect of this hotel, there were even two USB ports and a U.S. power socket if you forgot to bring one of those U.K./EU converters things. Those USB ports were a life saver.
Amenities: huge lobby with sofas, lightening fast free WiFi in your room and thoughout the hotel itself (wish they encrypted/protected the network though), a rooftop bar/lobby bar (didn't get a chance to check out the roof top bar but was told it had a dope view of the castle/city), a limited 24 hour market with drinks/packaged foods/and fresh cooked meals during meal times, a fast but expensive dry cleaning/laundry service (4 items costed me like $30-40 USD), and a barista who makes bomb mochas w/ some really good pastries. If you don't mind walking, there is cheaper coffee in neighboring cafes but the convenience of getting a mocha in the morning without going anywhere far was worth it to me.
Now the best part of this hotel: location to the tube. You are literally next door to the Tower Hill station (it's gets busy during rush hour FYI) and can do pretty much all of the touristy stuff with ease. London's metro system is amazing and efficient and being within a few steps to the tube made my experience here great. Also, you are literally a 10-15 minute walk to Tower Bridge and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. You can also UberEats/Deliveroo yourself food with ease here as there are countless surrounding places to grab a bite if you are feeling lazy. The area itself is also super safe and has a lot of business looking people in the day time. Book here you won't regret it. I am definitely coming back to London in the future and this will be my first choice; however, there is also two other Citizen M's in London and both of those are in good locations relative to the tube. I am excited to checkout the Citizen M in Amsterdam/Glasgow! Lastly, the rate for this 4 star hotel is reasonable and totally worth it.
