This is a strange hotel. I guess if you buy into the concept, then it's fine. If you want an actual hotel like hotel, look elsewhere. ||I do want to praise the staff, who are absolutely lovely and helpful--especially a shout out to Anna Maria and Sam. And another staff member (Viktoria?) in the dining area. ||So, the issues.|The room layout is absolutely not workable for more than one person. As others have commented, you have to crawl over your sleeping partner to get out of bed. It's absolutely nuts. There's barely room for your suitcase, no place to put your clothes, and hardly any counter space. I never did figure out the lights. (Though I used the alarm on the Ipad, and that was a very cool wake up!)||Check in was a zoo. You have to check in via iPads. Staff were helpful, but it felt like the self-serve at the supermarket. I know some people like that (and to be fair, I did like the super efficient self-serve checkout). There is barely a "lobby." A bunch of people came in at the same time, and it was crowded and uncomfortable. ||Staff felt more like store associates than hospitality people. Example. I was trying to figure out where I had walked earlier in the day and mentioned that it was near an iconic hotel, and the staff person had no idea what I was talking about. They are great at what they do, but they aren't your typical hotel type employees. ||The good.|Breakfast was excellent quality.|Hotel is clean. |Free and easily accessible water. |Decent location.|Quiet room--if you get an interior one. |Excellent staff! ||I can't imagine staying here again, though for single travelers, it's a good find.
