City Botanic Gardens

We took a walk in the Botanic Gardens at dawn, and it was absolutely tranquil and beautiful. We watched the sunrise from the riverwalk before wandering into the garden. Even at dawn, the pathways were softly lit with ambient lights, creating a magical and peaceful atmosphere. A truly lovely experience!

A magnificent park located in the city center. I love coming here to stroll and admire the flowers, the ancient trees, and the birds. It's always a wonderful moment of relaxation. A must-see.

The Brisbane City Botanical Gardens is a hidden gem and sanctuary in the Brisbane City. It is stunning and so tranquil and peaceful and a wonderful place to escape from the grey drab city buildings in the city. The gardens are well maintained and there is an extensive range of different and unique plants for all to enjoy. Make it a necessary stop if you visit Brisbane City. Can’t believe this place is in the middle of a city, free to visit and has an abundance of wildlife. Really nice little cafe in the middle of the gardens. Enjoyed by tourists and locals.

Peaceful escape right in Brisbane’s city centre 🌿📸 City Botanic Gardens is one of those places that instantly slows you down. The mix of riverside views, tall palm avenues, and giant fig trees makes it super photogenic — especially around sunrise or sunset when the light hits the water. I love coming here for a quiet walk, a jog, or to just sit under the trees and watch the city go by. The pathways are well-maintained, and there are plenty of open lawns perfect for picnics. Don’t miss the mangrove boardwalk — it’s a hidden gem and great for nature shots. There’s also a small café near the entrance if you want coffee with a view, and QUT and the ferry terminal are just a short walk away, so it’s really easy to get here.

Beautiful location alongside the Brisbane River, a wonderful stroll will showcase the plants & flowers with plenty to see 👀 or just sit on the grounds taking in the greenscape with the cbd skyscrapers in parts being the backdrop. Well maintained & HUGE credit to all those who look after such relaxing & refreshing area's for one & all to admire .ideal for family picnics or just reading,weddings, along with riding,running or walking . Big Shout out to the cafe that is a lovely hidden treasure of a old cottage or caretakers home ? that caters for people wanting something to eat n drink.

We just had a lovely time walking through the gardens. I love that cities devote land for people to enjoy. Full of trees and birds, this sanctuary lets you get away, even for a small while, away from the bustling city life. There was lots to explore. I honestly didn't even know how long were were in the park.

This is just a short walk from our hotel, so I strolled around it twice yesterday's Once after lunch by myself and then again after dinner with my husband. It was much busier during the day, which surprised me somewhat. Beautiful foliage, beautiful birds, next to the river, lots of benches and places to take a break. It is well maintained. At night, the main paths were lit well, although the path right next to the river was very dark. If I lived in Brisbane, I would go here often just to relax, read, or enjoy the beauty. And it's completely free to enjoy!

One of the tourist or locals must visit areas of Brisbane. You will experience a vast number of wildlife varieties and beautiful plants, flowers, and smells, all in the center of Brisbane. Walk there, or take a river catamaran or ferry to the far side and return to the central business area while experiencing the park's attributes.

If you're in Brisbane's CBD and you feel like you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle then head to the city's botanical gardens. This amazing place is just paradise with it enchanting green gardens. The bamboo walkway is complete shaded by the impressive growth, and what really made it unique was that every, well almost every, bamboo had love hearts and names carved into them. It was also fascinating to see a marvellous stone drinking fountain which was installed during 1867 as the first ornamental drinking fountain in Queensland. You can feel really at peace and soak in some of the sun's rays while strolling to the beat of your own drum.

Wedged between the CBD to the north and the brisbane river around its other sides, the city botanic gardens are a great oasis in the heart of the city. It's well maintained (as ozzie parks always are) and there are plenty of paths, trails and grassy areas. It also houses the old parliament building and the main campus of Queensland University of Technology, QUT. There's a kid's playground, many places to sit and admire different (flowering) plants.
