City Centro by Marriott

City Centro by Marriott (in Oaxaca) is a nice hotel in Oaxaca City. Building is nice and with good taste contemporary arquitecture. Personnel are friendly and focused to guests experience. Perhaps, and if travelling on business, rooms are not adequate for remote office work (not adequate nor comfortable furniture for a PC to work with) of course hotel has a "business center" room that one can use. Restaurant stops service at 23:00hrs. Everything else is nice and, again, personnel are so friendly and happy to assist. Hotel has a great terrace and perfect for a good dinner, at an enjoyable and relaxing time. In my opinion this is a good hotel option if travelling on vacation, and perhaps not so for a business stay.

Loved the location. In a fun neighborhood and a short 7-10 min walk to the city center. Breakfast was good and included with our bonvoy status. We used the pool once which was nice. The drinks are pretty pricey compared to the rest of the city. ||The WiFi wasn’t too great in our room and we couldn’t connect the TV to any streaming service. The rooms are quite small but we weren’t in there much so not too big of a problem.

Good location in Jalatlaco. We did a day pass at the pool which comes with an entree and a cocktail/drink, pool access, and a towel (possibly a little more). Food was delicious and drinks were beautifully crafted. However, the service wasn't great out on the patio near the pool. They didn't come very often to ask if we needed more drinks or food, we likely would have had ordered more if that was the case. However, the service was excellent when we did get it.

Great room and hotel. Stayed here for 3 night. The heated pool is perfect on those cold nights. I wish the pool was open past 8pm but you made due. No complaints.

Nice hotel located I a great area. Lots of good restaurants close by. The hotel itself has a great buffet. 18 minute walk to the center of town. Clean , comfortable rooms. I’d definitely go back.

Nice staff. Clean rooms. Unfortunately you can hear every single thing. Dont expect it to be quiet. Even luggage being pulled on the tiles is super noisy. Could hear the lovers across the hall going at it all throughout the night. They should have spent more money on insulation.

I loved staying in this hotel for the week of día de muertos! Everyone was so nice and customer service oriented! Our rooms were done every single day and they held our bags on the day of check out. They got us a taxi as well to the airport. The hotel itself was clean and very quiet! It’s located in a good barrio which is safe and walkable. This hotel had a pool, bar and gym! I recommend this hotel for your upcoming Oaxaca trip!! 🤍

Outrageous!!! We paid USD 550 for a very standard, small room. And this would not even include breakfast. And then the cleaning next door started before 08 00... the dishes from the neighbors' room service were not collected for a long, long time and you know, Mexico and all kinds of bugs 🙄
