Good if you want to mingle with new folks! And very aesthetic common areas.
But if those don't appeal to you, probably not worth the price when you can get a private hotel room for the same. Plus, the noise pollution can be pretty bad depending on your room.
Missing some hostel amenities:
- bed curtains (useful if your bunk mate, say, keeps their cell phone light on all.night.long.)
- working chargers by the bed
- working AC
- shampoo and conditioner
- locking storage
Also, I wish they had done a better job vetting for people's health. In our room of six, one woman coughed continuously every 1-2 minutes from 12-4am. My friend and I got sick several days later, which was a bummer to have happen during vacation.
Front desk was lovely though, and it really is a pretty building.
