City Circus Athens Hostel

Good if you want to mingle with new folks! And very aesthetic common areas. But if those don't appeal to you, probably not worth the price when you can get a private hotel room for the same. Plus, the noise pollution can be pretty bad depending on your room. Missing some hostel amenities: - bed curtains (useful if your bunk mate, say, keeps their cell phone light on all.night.long.) - working chargers by the bed - working AC - shampoo and conditioner - locking storage Also, I wish they had done a better job vetting for people's health. In our room of six, one woman coughed continuously every 1-2 minutes from 12-4am. My friend and I got sick several days later, which was a bummer to have happen during vacation. Front desk was lovely though, and it really is a pretty building.

This nice place to stay was very close to all restaurants and historical locations.|Easy to walk without needing any taxis.|This fine place has very friendly staff including the front desk guy named Tasos.|Great services without extra costs. Rooms clean without noises. This place offers half price compared to other 5 star places. No only small problem is no T.V.

Incredible hostel in Athens! Central location, clean rooms, lovely, friendly social scene, and SUCH helpful and diligent staff. Tryfon went above and beyond to hold a cosmetics bag I had left at the hostel and ensured it was returned to me before I left Greece. Best service and atmosphere - we love City Circus!

Pretty cute hostel in central location so very easy to get around by foot. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. This hostel was a bit quiet and not much socialising going on although they did organise some movie nights. The pub crawl was great as it was hosted by an external organiser so you get to meet loads of people from different hostels/accommodation!

Really good place. Firstly the staff are so kind and helpful, in a really genuine way. The location is superb. It is immaculately clean. The beds comfortable. Good shower. Clean basic kitchen. Acropolis view. A good choice of price points. Top tip, book direct.

The room and bed were very clean, but they weren’t revolutionary compared to other hostels. Though a little more privacy like a curtain would have been preferred. But the service was impeccable. The reception was always available 24/7 and they were always so friendly and patient every time I approached them, even if it was to ask silly questions. 10/10 hospitality. The location was a bit questionable. It’s located at the end of a dodgy-looking street, but it is very close to all of the main attractions in Athens. I never once took the metro in Athens because everything is so walkable and the hostel was on the edge of it all.

It was really clean and nice, with nice activitys and a sweet staff. But a lot of the guests are kinda old, I don’t have a problem with that, it was also nice to meet these people but I was hoping to meet people of my age (19) so I could explore the city with them. But the hostel was nice!

I absolutely loved this hostel. First, the location was excellent. It was a short walk from the metro station, so it's an easy arrival from the airport and just generally to get around the city. I also love the neighborhood at night. It's absolutely crammed with restaurants and bars and live music and pedestrian streets, which makes it a great place to spend the evenings. Second, the hostel itself was excellent. I stayed in the rooftop private room. This involved taking the elevator up to the rooftop where there was both a shared area and then a private area and my accommodation was in the private area. It was like a little cabin on the roof. So cozy, and I loved being able to sit out in the rooftop and have a smoke or a coffee and look out over the city. Just excellent and really good value. Also really good Wi-Fi even on the roof.
