Food bar is delicious. $3 for small size more for large. Highly recommend the spaghetti, rice or potato fritter. Flautas look great too but never tried.

I moved out of the neighborhood 5 years ago, but I used to shop here all the time. So when I needed to be in the Mission and wanted to make guacamole to take to a party the next day, I thought of this place. Big mistake. Oh, yes, the place is fancified, but I'd take the old place any day; the Vietnamese family that was there then had prices marked, the new owners don't and charge whatever they feel like. I bought 5 avocados for the guac and two were unusable with more black inside than green. The others were merely poor quality. I used to be able to return bad avocados with the previous owners; I wouldn't even try with the new owners. I spent more than $40 and when I got outside, I realized I had forgotten jalapeño and serrano peppers and went back in. I got less than two bucks worth and they were going to charge me 50¢ to use my debit card! What? I just spent a lot of money and they want to gouge me? I wouldn't shop here again if their produce was excellent! Which it certainly wasn't. Bye-bye bad store. With such poor customer relations, I can't imagine this store will last long.

Cute little market & good place to go if u need to just grab something real fast. Super awesome, helpful, hard wotking, & kind employees! Definitely would recommend to others!

I have come in recently and I enjoy the selection of groceries and the hot food is authentic and affordable. The staff is helpful seem like family. Give this business a try and you will find a new favorite place to shop. One love to the owner and the staff.

A very welcome addition to 6th Street between Mission and Minna st. FRESH PRODUCE! Yes with fresh produce and a clean atmosphere with many many products completely new to 6th st. Along with the classic convenient store merch and kitchen staples. I think I've just found my new favorite store on 6th. Kudos and thank you to the owner of this fine establishment for taking a chance and bringing fresh, clean and new back to this neighborhood.

I think it's a good neighborhoods store whenever I go there the people that work there is very nice and they remember me and the people that run the hot food part of the store is very nice prices are good and I know whoever does the ordering in the store I mentioned if they could get some Black eyed peas dry Black eyed peas next thing I know the next week they had some so I think it's a good place to shop but whoever runs the meat part of the store I just don't get fish being next to chicken or beef I don't get that so I don't do the meat market part of it so yeah I overall I would love to continue to go there and suggest other people to go there

Shopped here recently and liked that they have quality produce, are well stocked and competitively priced. Struck up a conversation with the owner while there and they seem committed to there customers, wishing these guys luck!!!

Very big store with shelf's full of different options to choose from. Staff was very friendly and always helpful.

Friendly service and delicious authentic food at an amazing price. We left with a whole fried fish ($9), beef stew with beans and potato pancake ($8), and 1/2 lb of pork shoulder/ribs with 2 tortillas ($7). It came with fresh lime wedges and orange hot sauce that had a nice kick!

I used to shop here all the time but moved out of the neighborhood. I wanted to make guacamole for a party so I came here because I remembered that they always had the best avocados - I often saw taqueria chefs here buying supplies. Well, there's new owners and it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. No pricetags on most items and much lower quality than before. I'll not go back.

If youre looking for a chicharon this is the place to get it especially in the morning cooked perfectly its not too overcooked or too hard to chew

This review is for the burrito / food to go bar to the left of the entrance. I almost went t9 Taqueria Cancun when I saw a small line of locals outside on a very rainy evening. I knew that it had to be good if people were willing to wait in the rain. It is open from 8am to 8pm. It did not disappoint! There was a woman making fresh masa tortillas. I bought some and they were still hot off the grill! In addition, I ordered the carnitas burrito and a al pastor burrito. Both came with a small orange colored salsa with a little spice and optional cilantro and rice (choice between the tomato based one or white with small veggies). All ingredients were fresh and tasty! The two burritos and 5 fresh tortillas came up to 26$. I will be back.

if i could give zero stars! this place likes to harass street vendors by spraying them with water!! terrible place and terrible service! they sprayed families with water who were just eating tacos

This is for the taqueria/food bar-- we were running late for a show and decided to stop by because I saw some chicharron in the display counter... holy crabcakes this was almost the best burrito I've ever had anywhere. Specifically ask for the green chicharron stew thingy as your meat choice in the burrito. Monster portions, great prices, and oh the flavour!! The ladies at the counter were also super nice. Best burrito pit stop ever. If all this sounds hyperbolic, it's totally deliberate. Do yourself a favour and get the green chicharron burrito here pronto!

Worse place don't go there not even good employees are rude and disrespectful. Food don't even taste good

This place has become amazing since the new owners took over.  The produce is  fresh, everything is well stocked, organized and the young guys that run the place seem friendly, outgoing and committed to there customers. Wishing them all the luck!! Will definitely become a regular here.

I came here today after work and the experience was positive. I needed some meat for dinner and the location was easy since it's close to Mission st bart stations. The store is small so selection is limited. I ended buying chicken drumsticks, rosarita refried beans. Green bell pepper from produce, el yucatero habanero hot sauce, eden spices bagged chile powder, garlic powder, and a box of life cereal - cinnamon. The prices were reasonable and paying with a card wasn't an issue because my purchase was greater than $10. It looks like they do accept cards for lesser transactions and charge a $.50 fee for those. It's a market on Mission st between 16th and 24th so yea, it's not modern developed country clean, but I didn't get the impression I'd end up with some kind of health scare either. What made the positive experience reviewable for me was the lady who rung me up. At one point she weighed the bell pepper on the scale and priced it really quick. When I asked to double check the price her response was warm and understanding; she placed the pepper back on the scale and showed me how the price calculated. She also said "it's better you ask the questions that way you're happy to come back next time."

I shop here often and the owners seem quite pleasant, helpful and respectful. Always clean and have a great selection of groceries and produce. The meat section is pretty good as well. There tacos and their hot food section in general are great also. Considering other options in the neighborhood this is the only place I shop at.

An average grocery store that had all the vegetables and fruits I needed. The grocery store is a bit small and it's averagely maintained. Great place to get some groceries. Although, the area is kind of sketchy since there's some homeless people sleeping next to the wall outside.

I came all the way over to the Mission just to buy chicken bouillon in bulk, since I knew it would be cheaper here, and this place had it. 32 ounces of chicken bouillon for $5.59! That's pretty much a standard deal for the Mission, but a great price compared to buying it in smaller quantities anywhere else. They have a decent selection of produce and a good array of household staples, from flour, coconut milk, and beans to soaps, sponges, and trash bags. I didn't see anybody buying meat at the meat counter, and honestly it smelled a tiny bit suspect, so that may have been for a reason. But it was nearing the end of the day as well, so maybe that played a role. Also, some of the cans appeared to be dented when I was perusing through them. Which unfortunately can be more than a cosmetic thing, but you can definitely find unharmed cans of what you need if you're careful. But you do need to keep an eye out. They do have a $10 credit card minimum, so I had to pay cash. But ultimately, this place got me what I needed, so I walked out of here happy.

If this had been the closest grocery to my house to carry Golden Gate's excellent chinese-style soy milk: dayenu. If they had carried the unsweetened as well as the sweetened soy milk: dayenu. If the unsweetened soy milk had been sitting next to the fridge, still too fresh (and hot) to refrigerate: dayenu. If the cheerfully trilingual counter woman had discussed the merits of unsweetened versus sweetened soy milk with me: dayenu. But all this, and they have a mural on the side too! Day day enu, day day enu, day day enu, dayenu dayenu!

One stop of my Definitive Mission Grocery Guide: I only come here for two, maybe three things depending on how you categorize: PRODUCE + Onions (yellow/red) @ $0.39 a pound + Green Onions @ $0.33 cent each + Dozen Extra Large Eggs @ $1.69 I haven't figured out (or have cared to ask) when the delivery dates are for this place because I only come here for bulk onions and eggs every 3 weeks or so. They probably have pretty good stuff usually, but their best value items are the onions and eggs when compared to prices at other grocery stores. The onions here are always good. You just have to find them. The ones ate the top of the pile can be slightly bruised. Set those aside and look under those! Take an extra large egg and a jumbo egg and compare. You get 1-2mm more "egg" or eggshell, but pay $0.20 more per dozen. Best value? Extra large eggs! $10 minimum on credit, which is difficult to spend here. Bring cash!

I stop by this little grocer about three times a week to pick up whichever ingredients I happen to need for dinner that night. Overall, I'd say their produce is slightly more dependable than some of the other places on Mission, though their variety is a bit less. I have pretty good luck with their avocados which, besides the convenience to home, is a big reason why I keep going back. There are far too many brown surprises when I open up avocados from other similar small grocers. Also, if you time it right (around 5 -5:30pm) there is often an older gentleman standing outside selling good tamales. Overall a decent place to pick up a few groceries and get out with what you need for next to nothing. Actually, I should say everything you need except beer - you will not find that here.

Every time I go here, I am amazed at how low my grocery bill is. They've got non-gmo tofu for 99 cents, Mission-cheapest prices on most produce, a hot deli (meat, fried rice, lo mein, etc at only $1 for a tiny take-out container and $2 for a medium), standard canned items, a good selection of noodles, and a bunch of yummy-looking Mexican breads at the front. They also, surprisingly, sell toilet paper and other household supplies. $10 minimum for credit cards. Definitely in my top three favorite Mission grocery stores.

Ultracheap groceries and ultrafriendly ladies behind the counter. This is my go-to place for daily grocery shopping. Only four stars due to lack of beer and wine.

wonderful corner store! they have all the basics and are super super cheap! the staff are wonderful, they are helpful and warm and friendly. going into the store and seeing them makes me feel a sense of community. highly recommended!
