Not actually a hostel - they just call it that because they are a bad hotel. One shared shower on my floor had no soap in the dispenser (for 2 days in a row) and the drain was clogged (also both days) so the water backed up. But the only other shower on the floor (and you need a separate key card to access different floors) had searing hot water even on the lowest temperature, plus the holder for the shower head was broken so it just dangled there from the hose and sprayed all over unless you held it up yourself the entire time you're in there. My bedside lamp was burned out and the place is poorly ventilated so it is waaaay too hot and stuffy inside (hallways and rooms). All this led me book it outta that dump a day early but they refused to give me a refund. The only redeeming feature was the breakfast, which was quite good, but I must stress that it is NOT worth it in the slightest. Lest anyone blame the staff for any of this (they were always polite) I'm quite sure it is all ownership's fault. Don't give them your money. You will not get what you pay for. (Or rather, you will, and that's the problem.)

The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is good with a wide variety. The mattress is warm, soft, and comfortable to sleep in. I like that there is a 3-layer security system using a key card from the hotel entrance door, the entrance door to the accommodation zone, and the room door. But there is a disadvantage: you can hear the sound of the next room and the room from above.

Floor of my room was filthy. There was a sticky spot full of hair by the bed and old food strewn in the corners when I arrived. The area between the bed and the wall was full of hair and dust, no one had ever cleaned there. I complained twice (over two days) about the floor. The first time I complained they said it would be taken care of that day and apologized. But it was the same when I got back that evening so I complained again the next morning and they said the same thing, and guess what? It wasn’t cleaned that day either. So, three nights spent in a filthy room with no reimbursement offered, no offer to switch rooms. I had to wipe off my feet when I got in bed or put on my shoes. That’s how bad it was. The bedside lamp didn’t work, an extra lamp in the room which I used instead had a broken lampshade. Frozen fruit (with ice crystals) served with musli at breakfast, otherwise breakfast was ok. An extra star for nice kitchen staff and central location but otherwise worst hostel experience in Sweden for me.

Its a ”Dream hostel” not city hostel. As they name is not updated, that how the service works too. Been there two nights, each time by reservation asked about breakfast or service, every time needed to remind the stuff and never got one. Nor would they post publicly the times when they serve it.

We stayed overnight for a night in Helsingborg. Once we reached Helsingborg from Malmo, we straight away went to check in ourselves. The location is great, it is near the train station, about 10mins walk. We had a nice stay and their breakfast was nice! Definitely Will stay here again if I have the chance to visit Helsingborg again!

Excellent location. I stayed in a single room and felt like I was in a mini hotel room, as it also has a small fridge. I didn't even noticed I was sharing a bathroom, did not need to wait to shower etc. The view for the harbour is also nice. The only thing I missed was breakfast though.

I love staying at Cityvandrarhemmet in Helsingborg. It is well located, stylish, clean, quiet and well equipped. I have stayed at lots of characterless 5 star hotels in my professional life. Cityvandrarhemmet is nothing like that, and does not claim to be. For me, it is a much better place to stay. Lovely staff and very nice type of guests staying. The genuine warmth and charm of the staff makes you feel welcome. The manager, Fredrik, runs an excellent operation and is very helpful and well informed. Rooms are compact but comfortable, very quiet. Kettle and fridge provided. Good attention to detail, no frills but excellent quality throughout. Quiet, self closing doors with no noise. Excellent showers. Excellent security and fire safety. Well equipped kitchen on the ground floor for the use of guests. Nice healthy buffet breakfast included. ||||Looking forward to staying again!

Dream Hostel is located at walking distance of Helsingborg railway station and offers different rooms, all with shared bathroom. The establishment has had it best days long ago. Dream Hostel claims to be a luxury hostel. This is a chutzpa. The owner compares the hostel with an abandoned hut on an inhabitable island. Free Wi-Fi. Service is helpful and friendly.||||Hostel Dream is popular with low budget travellers. We had a small room at the fifth floor at the yard. The spartan furnished & decorated room had a resonable single bed, desk & chair, fridge, and TV on the wall. No tea & coffee facility, no decent wardrobe, no safe. The shared bathroom had washbasin, shower and toilet. The bathroom was worn-out and not very clean.||||At ground floor you find the common kitchen and the lounge with breakfast. An acceptable buffet breakfast is served with an OK variety: boiled & scramble eggs, bacon & tomato, bread & toast, butter, yoghurt, juice, preserves, fruit-salad, tea & coffee.||||We found Hostel Dream a middle-of-the-road accommodation and far from value-for-money. The website is brushed up.
