City Hotel Ljubljana

First, the location is amazing. You are just steps away from all the sites and shopping. Second, the check-in process is easy, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Third, the rooms are clean and have the most comfortable beds, pillows and comforters. TThe rooms are equipped with full amenities. The hotel is not new, but it is well maintained and clean. The breakfast spread is huge, with lots of locally sourced items, and they keep it fully stocked until the very end of the breakfast period. There is ample seating. The lounge is a nice gathering place before or after going out. Fast elevators. Their commitment to eco-friendly practices is impressive! By simply hanging a tag to show that your room doesn't require cleaning, each adult guest in your room receives a coupon for a complimentary wine, beer, or coffee at the hotel restaurant.

We had a lovely stay here. The location was excellent — close to everything we wanted to see. The bed was very comfortable and the pillow was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a hotel! The room was quite warm at night, but otherwise very comfortable. The shower had great pressure, and I appreciated the L’Occitane toiletries, which felt like a nice luxury touch. The buffet breakfast had a good selection — the hash browns were especially good and a nice surprise. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a great location.

The breakfast spread is huge, with lots of locally sourced items, and they keep it fully stocked until the very end of the breakfast period. There is ample seating. The lounge is a nice gathering place before or after going out. Fast elevators. Room windows open up. Electric water pots in the rooms. There is plenty of storage in the rooms. Excellent shower. I love their environment-friendly cleaning concept, too: if you hang a tag to indicate your room does not need to be cleaned, then the adult guests in your room each get a coupon for a free wine, beer or coffee in the hotel restaurant.

Very near the city centre, the city hotel was a comfortable stay. Reception staff were friendly. The rooms were fantastic, with comfortable beds (and a selection of comfortable pillows). Toilets are clean, with all the necessary toiletries. The breakfast spread is excellent, with a wide selection of hot food, fruits etc. There is a small area in the lobby, which vends alcoholic drinks 24/7. There is a open air lobby on the first floor, which serves drinks till 22:00 hours. All the major attractions like the triple bridge, dragon bridge, as well as authentic Slovenian restaurants are walking distance from the within walking distance from the hotel.

Great location, service minded and friendly staff, a really nice room- a bit warm but an open window fixed the temperature. The shower is amazing. The breakfast has a lovely variety of local and continental breakfast. The restaurant had good lunch and dinner offers. The hotel, just as the city itself, is clean and welcoming. A lovely place to stay in Ljubljana! Close to everything, walking distance to the old town, the bus and train station and Tivoli park. I really recommend City Hotel.

Five minutes from the main square. Comfortable, clean room and bathroom. L’Occitane toiletries. There wasn’t much space in the room as the bed is king-size. Great pillows. There was a safe and a fridge. Our room was at the back, so it was very quiet.|If you opt not to have your room serviced, they give you a free coffee or drink at the bar.|All of the staff are friendly. Especially Robert on reception and the staff in the breakfast room. Used plates are cleared from tables quickly, adding to comfort |The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had. |We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel to stay at. The breakfast is generous and delicious. The service team is very kind and helpful. Location wise it's a blast. Everything is easy reachable on foot. Easy shuttle service to the airport. The only thing is that the decoration is a bit "bland". But still in no way unpleasant. The room was very spacious. All in all total recommendation!

Excellent hotel on the edge of the traffic-free centre of Ljubljana, 5-8 minutes walk to anywhere, including the train/bus station. Comfortable room, nice linens and one novel touch: a free drink for not having your room cleaned that day. Small gym, reasonably well equipped, with some unusually heavy free weights for somewhere that's not supervised. Reception staff were first class and very well informed. Good buffet breakfast included in the room rate.
