City Hotel Ljubljana

Highly recommend City Hotel. First, the location is amazing. You are just steps away from all the sites and shopping. Second, the rooms are clean and had the most comfortable beds, pillows and comforters of any hotel we stayed at in Germany and Slovenia. The hotel is not new but it is well maintained and clean. The breakfast spread is huge, with lots of locally sourced items, and they keep it fully stocked until the very end of the breakfast period. There is ample seating. The lounge is a nice gathering place before or after going out. Fast elevators. Room windows open up. Electric water pots in the rooms. There is plenty of storage in the rooms. Excellent shower. I love their environment-friendly cleaning concept, too: if you hang a tag to indicate your room does not need to be cleaned, then the adult guests in your room each get a coupon for a free wine, beer or coffee in the hotel restaurant.

Very nice hotel to stay at. The breakfast is generous and delicious. The service team is very kind and helpful. Location wise it's a blast. Everything is easy reachable on foot. Easy shuttle service to the airport. The only thing is that the decoration is a bit "bland". But still in no way unpleasant. The room was very spacious. All in all total recommendation!

This is a great hotel, perfect location in walking distance to all the attractions. They have a wonderful free breakfast, the staff are very friendly and super helpful, our room had a balcony which was nice and the room itself was cert roomy with a great bathroom that had both a shower and bathtub. The only issue was the street noise, not sure why the windows could not keep the street noise out made falling asleep a little tough.

Very friendly and accommodating staff who were in contact with me before I arrived to answer a couple of questions I had. ||The city view bedroom on floor 6 we had was large, clean, great city views and with a modern en-suite with lovely towels. The hotel bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. The location of this hotel was perfect. ||We particularly liked the breakfast choice- something for everyone.||Slight negative comment which does not detract from the score I gave this hotel, is that the area next to the restaurant looked like a storage area, with random tall tables, and other bits and pieces. I think this may be part of the conference facility but I feel it needs tidied up. ||All in all, a great city hotel.

We had a lovely time at City Hotel Ljubljana. With it being centrally located, we were able to walk outside and within minutes we were at the river front enjoying all that Ljubljana has to offer. The rooms were incredibly spacious and clean, the staff very friendly and informative, and the breakfast was a sight to behold every morning. Every afternoon, we enjoyed coffee or a glass of wine at the lobby bar which was relaxing after walking around the city center. What we found exciting was that for every day you choose to NOT have your room cleaned, you were given drink tickets for the bar. Awesome. The parking garage below is a bit challenging, especially if you have a bigger vehicle but with patience and a good eye, you'll be fine. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and memorable!!

Hotel itself is quite alright, clean, bright, modern, and great location. The breakfast buffet was busy every morning and had good selections. My room was also comfortable for the most part, especially the bedding. It was cold in my room though and it turns out every room and the hotel are controlled by central AC, and the temperature is set to 21 Celsius. The front desk staff was commercialized, they deal with lots of tourists every day, their smiles seemed fake, there was even a small jar on their counter, and literally says “Tips” on it.

Excellent hotel on the edge of the traffic-free centre of Ljubljana, 5-8 minutes walk to anywhere, including the train/bus station. Comfortable room, nice linens and one novel touch: a free drink for not having your room cleaned that day. Small gym, reasonably well equipped, with some unusually heavy free weights for somewhere that's not supervised. Reception staff were first class and very well informed. Good buffet breakfast included in the room rate.

Had a lovely stay. Close to the centre of town. Easily to walk everywhere. Room was nice size, comfortable bed and great water pressure. |Blow dryer wasn’t working but it was quickly replaced. |Breakfast was included. Great variety. |Would definitely recommend
