City Hotel Ljubljana

Booked a comfort room with balcony which was even better than described! Large room with big windows and a gorgeous little balcony with table and 2 chairs overlooking the amazing view of red roofs, blue Cathedral domes and castle on the hill. Big comfy bed, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, bath, great shower with L'Occitaine shampoo and shower gel. Massive breakfast selection! Great location! Great in every way!

Beautiful hotel in the city center. Ideal location. Comfy bed with a fluffy duvet and a pillow menu(!), rainfall shower, cool balcony with a view of the castle! We parked nearby on the weekend and just topped up our 2hr parking in the evening and first thing in the morning with no problem. Delicious huge breakfast buffet (especially the hash browns). The juices were weird (Kool aid type juice), but everything else was amazing.

I enjoyed my stay at City Hotel! It is a short walk from the main centre of the city - close to the Dragon Bridge. The staff were lovely and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast is great and I was allowed a late checkout before I left for Croatia. The hotel is a short walk to the main bus/train station, too. I will return!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. It’s perfectly situated just steps from the river and surrounded by countless restaurants, cafés, and shops, making it easy to explore the area on foot. The breakfast was a real highlight—absolutely delicious with plenty of vegetarian options to choose from.||Our family room was spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating four people without feeling cramped. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed.||The only downside was that the air conditioning didn’t work very well, so the room was quite warm at night. Aside from that, everything else was excellent, and we would happily stay here again.

The best thing with this hotel is absolutely the location. Breakfast was average, nothing special. For example, I would have liked to have different boiled eggs, not just hard-boiled. Coffee was surprisingly good. Gym is great but rather small. We needed to change the room because the bathroom drainage was smelling strongly. The next room was similar but the bed was horrible and made a loud noise. At this point we just accepted it because it already had took some time to find an another pet-friendly room. So paying 20€ extra for a dog and not receiving anything extra (instead have it worse) is common but always sad. The room was big, bathroom had both a shower and a bath tub which was nice but when booking a double room I expect a double bed, not just two twin beds together… Parking garage was highly appreciated. I was also mistakenly charged too much but got a refund after talking to the staff. Luckily, staff was really friendly and service good. Overall, a good experience but there is sure room for improvement.

Perfect in almost every way. Nice big room, really comfortable bed, wonderful bathroom and free toiletries of a very high standard. The only tiny complaint was we couldn't make our air conditioning be a little warmer!

City Holel Ljublana is a terrific place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean, with windows that opened for fresh air. The breakfast buffet every morning was astonishing in its breadth and quality. The location is perfect for walking everywhere and the historical/river area is just minutes away. Walking back in the evening was a breeze. I also found a delicious salad place called Bife two block away. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

We had a very pleasant stay. I liked the fact that the hotel was very much alive, full of different people and very diverse. The staff was very professional. The room was very clean and spacious, with a large and comfortable bed. The breakfast was average but still good. Very close to the pedestrian zone.
